S!lly bloggers, there was no region called "Biafra" before the 1967 pronouncement, our present day Gulf of Guinea in part was called "Bight of Biafra". Biafra was adopted as a name for mostly south easterners in 1967.

The last legitimate assembly that existed in the east was dissolved in 1966 as a fall out of the coup of the 5 majors, there was no existing assembly let alone one to issue any mandate to Ojukwu, recall that no member of the so called assembly was represented in the Aburi conference where ojukwu proposed confederation as his solution for peace.
How could they have mandated Ojukwu to declare what they were not privy of? some unscrupulous historians have written series of fallacies to give legitimacy to Ojukwu's struggle by making it seem like a unanimous agreement, I don't blame you much because you are likely a victim of their lies.
The resistance Ojukwu met in the hands of our present Niger delta points to the fact that there was "NEVER" a unanimous agreement to declare Biafra.

Perceptions/feelings of a group of people or individuals can not be peddled as a fact, Igbos (Biafrans by extension) felt that the North was favored by the British but they quickly forgot that there was an election were several positions were justled for, secondly, Igbos had adequate representation in government at the time so people like us consider those perceptions as immaterial.

The Aburi conference was where both sides came to a round table to iron issues out and chart a way forward, first, Biafra had only ojukwu and his secretary as their representative while the Nigerian side had 31, including the 21 members of the supreme military council and people who make up our present day FEC.
With this arrangement, Ojukwu's demands was NEVER agreed upon by a vast majority of Biafrans, recall that the Governor general at the time was an Igbo man yet Ojukwu in his infinite wisdom chose to exclude him and presented his phoney demands alone.
Even at that, gowon did not completely renege on the Aburi terms, immediately he returned, he drafted decree 8 which i am sure most of you have no idea that decree 8 accommodated about 90% of Ojukwu's Aburi phoney demands.
the only part Ojukwu disagreed with was where decree 8 states that when necessary, the FG can declare a state of emergency which automatically will suspend the governor, Ojukwu felt it was a plot by Gowon to remove him as governor installed by his igbo Brother Aguiyi ironsi. In a nut shell, the Aburi accord failed largely because ojukwu was unreasonable.
If he accepted the terms of decree 8, there will be no need for any Biafra and the senseless war that ensued....that is the fact I am aware of!!

This is not a statement of fact, it is only an individual wearing an Igbo lens will make such allegation. recall that the mandate which empowered Gowon to create those 12 states was the famous decree 34 promulgated by Aguiyi Ironsi from the eastern region, are you implying that Aguiyi wanted to weaken his region? as a matter of fact, if Ironsi had lived another 6 months, he would have created the states himself.
The northern region was balkanized into 5 states, the west 4 and the East 3. going by your statement the north was more weakened than any other region.
Rightly put the states were created to weaken all the regions not necessarily the eastern region.

It was a war everyone got help, Ivory coast helped Biafra so did gabon etc, outside the "Ogbunigwe" (Biafran improvised explosive) I am not privy to any other ingenious "invention" of the Biafrans, I understand clearly that necessity brings innovation however, i do not think that modifying existing war relics to fit for purpose is an invention.

Hunger started after Biafran lost Bonny, Calabar then rivers to Nigeria being their access to the sea that should be in the 12th or 13th month not the entire 30 months.

It's common knowledge that the territory known as Delta state was never a part of Eastern Nigeria.

It's also common knowledge that Southeastern Nigeria is not equal to Eastern Nigeria which was the territory that tried to secede, and was called Biafra.

Hence, what the writer wrote up there is his own inaccurate knowledge, and not common knowledge.

The writer also ignored the fact that a land corridor through which food could get into Biafra, was rejected by Ojukwu who preferred the air drops of food so that arms could be hidden inside the dropped parcels.

He also forgot to mention the changing of the currency by the Nigerian govt which rendered the Biafran pound useless. The Biafran pound was not backed by gold or any other valuable index so its worth, could not be ascertained after the war.

And he ignored the invasion of the old Mid-west region and the looting of the Central Bank in Benin by the Biafran forces.

Quite true! It is on record that Ojukwu ignored all calls for a meeting after the Aburi accord. Next, he took over all federal assets in the East, and even asked Shell to pay royalties from the oil well to him, before the federal government warned Shell to desist from considering such an act. undecided

bias judgement of biafra.
jaylister:
Almost fifty years after the war that nearly broke up Nigeria, Biafra is rising again out of the dust and it is bringing to life some dead and forgotten truths and facts about the war. Some theories of secession emphasize a general right of secession for any reason (“Choice Theory”) while others emphasize that secession should be considered only to rectify grave injustices (“Just Cause Theory”). It is therefore on the basis of one or both of these theories that some nations decided to break out from being under one rule. Pakistan and Bangladesh broke out of India, Sudan separated into South Sudan and Sudan, and the Kingdom of Malaya too had its own issues leading to the division of the country into different countries called Singapore and Malaysia. Having fought and lost the first time, Biafra is citing grave injustice as its major reason for resurrecting its agenda of breakout and preparing to fight for succession.

Who are Biafrans?
When you talk about Biafrans you are referring to the inhabitants of the South-East Nigeria who were mostly the Igbos. The group pursued their desire for secession due to economic, ethnic, cultural and religious tensions among the various people of Nigeria. Biafra as a territory existed long before the amalgamation and independence of Nigeria as a republic but it will be said that the group fully came to lime light in May 30 1967 when it publicly declared her secession from the binding forces of the federal Republic of Nigeria. The Biafran nation had a total number of 25 provinces covering the following Nigerian States: Abia, Anambara, Delta, Ebonyi, Imo, Bayelsa, Rivers, Cross River with Enugu state serving as its capital.

Little is known about the literal meaning of the word Biafra. But it is widely believed that the word Biafra is likely derived from the subgroup Biafar or Biafada of the Tenda ethnic group who reside primarily in Guinea-Bissau. Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu who was then the military governor of the Eastern Region and also seen by the Igbo People as “the man in power”, was mandated by the consultative Assembly of the Biafrans, to declare the Eastern Nigeria a free sovereign and independent state by the name and tittle “the Republic of Biafra”. As a nation that is ready for independence, the new group had its flag whose colors are Red, Black and Green. The color combination is sometimes called Panafrican colors. Red stands for the enthusiasm and sacrifice-willingness of the people and for the struggle for independence and giving blood, black stands for the people and its endurance, and green for the fruitfulness of the land. It also has a currency of its own called the Biafran Pounds and Shilling, a National Anthem and Pledge.

The Biafran War: A Brief Description

The Biafran war which convulsed the country for a period of 30 months was a collective tragedy that brought the Nigerian Nation on the brink of disintegration and also left in a trail of reckless destruction of millions of lives and property in Nigeria. As earlier stated, the war; sparked off as a result of economic, ethnic, cultural and religious crises mainly between Northern and Eastern Nigeria. In an attempt to seize power in January 15 1966, some group of military officers who were mainly

This coup, though poorly carried out, was seen as a plot against the Northern region and hence the urge for retaliation became eminent. By July 29, 1966, a counter coup led by Lieutenant Colonel Murtala Muhammed and several other Northern officers saw the deadly destruction of the Igbo people. It was gathered that not less than 30,000 Igbos were killed. People like Major-General J.T.U. Aguyi-Ironsi who was then the Head of State, Col. Francis Adekunle Fajuyi who was the Military Governor of the Western region and other military officers saw their end during the counter coup.
Having recounted series of killings of her people by the Northerners, first in the 1945 and 1953 massacres at Jos and Kano respectively, the second in July 1966, Biafrans finally chose the part of independence from their mother country Nigeria. The federal government under the newly sworn in military leader Lieutenant Colonel (later General) Yakubu ‘Jack’ Gowon chose not to give room for secession of any group because it may stir up other groups to fight for independence hence leading to the total destruction of the nation’s unity, and so came the war which started from the 6th of July 1967 and lasted until 15th January 1970.

The Biafran War: Lesser known Facts

The following is the list of Lesser known facts about Biafra and the Biafran war.

· The Biafrans viewed Nigeria then under Military dictatorship as a neocolonial state under the “Iron grasp of its former Colonial master – Britain”
· The summit of military leaders at Aburi, Ghana, in January 1967 which was aimed at resolving the disagreements and recommended the establishment of a base confederation of regions turned out to be a source of contention between the government of Nigeria and the Biafrans
· In order to weaken the strength of the East and to keep to a unified Nigerian country, 12 states were created in May 27, 1967
· One of the immediate reasons for the first-coup was nationwide disillusionment with the corrupt and selfish politicians, as well as their inability to maintain law and order and guarantee the safety of lives and property.
· During the course of the war, the Federal Government received military aide from Britain USA and partly from Israel while the Biafrans gained support from France and later Israel. Other equipment like the Red Devil and other war ships used by the Biafrans in the war were produced through the ingenuity of Biafran engineers and soldiers.
· The Biafrans went through the 30 months war on hunger and starvation while the Nigerian soldiers enjoyed rapid promotion and pay increase throughout the war.
· The capture of the provincial capital of Owerri, (one of the last Biafran strongholds) by the Nigerian forces and the disappearance of Ojukwu to Ivory Coast, led to the total surrender the Biafran Nation on January 11, 1970.
· Several Nigerians took great steps in ensuring that the war was suspended. One of them is Wole Soyinka who visited the Eastern Region Military Governor Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu in Enugu in August 1967 to try to avert war and as a result, he was put in solitary confinement for about two years.
· The end of the war saw the death of 1-3 million civilians and over 50,000 casualties of military soldiers from both the Nigerian military and the Biafran warriors.

The primary reason why most Northerners have and will continue to ignore these chest beaters is exactly what this write up is all about, which is LIES, the op purposely jumped the aspect of the write up that was to talk about the happenings of the first coup in our beloved country Nigeria, The IGBO soldiers killed the Northern and south Western leaders but failed to kill the south eastern leaders and stupidly, irritating, disgustingly referred to the coup as a Nigerian coup, No it was an IGBO coup.
Of course he also failed to explain the reaction of the Igbos afterwards, they celebrated the actions of those soldiers which triggered the crises afterwards and the counter coup as well. Not also mentioning the actions of the late Aguiri Ironsi, who destroyed the foundations Nigeria was laid upon.
May God Bless our Country Nigeria.

You are one of the folks who come online pontificating with an air of objectivity when in reality they are neither here nor there.

You can use as much verbosity as you like to attempt to cover up your hypocrisy but surely your mission is DOA. Pass this feedback to your backers.

I'm not surprised at your deceitful disposition towards important discourse in the land. You are really living up to what you stand. But one thing is certain, that your continual use of cleverly crafted deceptive words to mischievously divert attention or misrepresent the reality in the land will surely boomerang, sooner than later.

Frustrated lying propagandist and history distortionist, your lies and falsehood cannot stop IPOB.

It's not a surprise to see a disciple of anger, slavery, hate and propaganda make career out of lies, falsehood, noise-making, propaganda, abuse and slurs.

However, I shall help plunge you in more misery to your shame.

Aguiyi Ironsi used a quasi-unitary system of government to save the country from the looming anarchy after the January 15, 1966 coup. It was meant to be temporal and Aguiyi Ironsi or his people never gained any undue advantage over other ethnic.

AGUIYI IRONSI DID NOT DISSOLVE THE REGIONAL GOVERNMENTS OR RESOURCE CONTROL; GOWON WITH THE COLLUSION OF AWOLOWO DID!

However a few months afterwards, an Igboman Emeka Ojukwu spearheaded the Aburi agreement in which fiscal federalism and even confederation was adopted, but the other Nigerian, including Awolowo and Enahoro kicked against it. That is why fiscal federalism has not been experienced in this nation since then.

In 1972 Gowon and Awolowo proceeded to enact and enforce the Indigenization decree which led to the collapse of the Nigerian economy.
To add insult to the festering injury Olusegun Obasanjo promulgated the Land Use Decree (now Land Use Act) in 29th of March, 1978.

By the provision of the Land Use Decree of 1978, the inhabitants of the oil producing communities were turned into squatters in their own ancestral homes, as land where oil is explored, produced, transported and stored were decreed to belong to the state long after political independence in 1960. The existence and application of the Land Use Act of 1978 contributed to the present state of neglect, under-development and the insecurity of the region.

And for the past 45 years, what have subsequent governments done to repeal the evil laws and entrench true practice of federal system of government? Absolutely nothing! And the so called loud-mouthed Yoruba tribe that termed themselves as 'sophisticated' were in power for over 11 years and would rather sit on the fence than have the evil polities eliminated!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Gowon, Awolowo, Ejoor, Adebayo, Mobolaji Johnson, Katsina, Wey and all the groups that supported and advised the Federal Government of Nigeria to renege on the accords agreed upon in Aburi, Ghana were responsible for the 1967-70 Civil War, alongside their murderous kinsmen who killed innocent Easterners in revenge for an act done by a misguided group of soldiers comprising both Southerners and Northerners.

Ojukwu tried making peace, and called for peace-talk in a neutral ground hence the Aburi Accord, but Gowon and his co-travellers violated the agreement reached. If Ojukwu wanted war he wouldn't have called for peace talk in Ghana but the declaration of Biafra was inevitable as the killing of Easterners continued across the country. Ojukwu never asked for war! Ojukwu only declared Biafra when over thirty thousand corpses littered the Northern region in the aftermath of the January 15 1966 coup. Gowon and his cohorts declared the civil war! And Benjamin Adekunle, one the Nigerian soldier, later attested to the fact that Nigeria declared war because of oil in the Eastern region and not for the unity of the country!

Why didn't the July 1966 counter-coup plotters just wipe out the Eastern political class and call it a day. Aguiyi Ironsi did nothing deserving death yet they killed him. Ironsi was too much of a peacemaker and he died making useless peace, appeasing the Northerners. The counter coup plotters simply wanted a war and they sure got one.
Bear in mind there was no war before the pogrom of 1966 started in the North.
So why resort to maiming and killing innocent Easterners cum civilians. Has the killings stopped till date? NO!

The February 13, 1976 Dimka-led coupists came from Benue and Plateau region. They assassinated Murtala Mohammed then Head of State, yet there was no genocide carried against the Middle-belt people. Why was same treatment not given to the ethnic groups of the Dimka-led coupists that committed same offence? It's simply hypocrisy!
It is even against the military rule to harm the innocent civilians during coup.

According to the warped logic of hypocrites any time there is a revolution or a coup the ethnic groups of the coup plotters should be singled out for ethnic cleansing!

What did other Nigerians and their leaders do when Igbos where being massacred across the North in 1966? Did any of them come to the aid of the people of Igbodo and Asaba in 1967 when genocide was being carried out on them by the same people who are now having nightmares to still have Igbos in same country with them?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigerian_Civil_War

Anybody defending the atrocious acts of their forebears against the Igbo Nation is wicked to state the least. It's in vain trying hard to deny the genocide committed against the Igbos.

Ojukwu defended Igbos from ethnic cleansing no matter  the attempts of hypocrites to cover up their evils.
Ojukwu will forever remain a legend amongst Igbos regardless of what the same people who were responsible for what Ojukwu stood against thinks.

If this people are sincere they would have restructured the system or have its inhabitants choose and chart their own destinies. Strange bedfellows are not meant to be together!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Nzeogwu, the January 1966 coup leader was a Niger-deltan from Delta-Igbo. And the other ring members are Kpera (Northerner), Ademoyega (Westerner) and Anuforo (Easterner).

There's absolutely nothing wrong in seeking self-determination. You don't expect everyone to be so deluded as to continue feigning ignorance of the great evils and injustices in the land.

Those who leave the substance to chase shadows are as culpable as those who have caused the sacrifice of millions of lives for the sake of false 'One Nigeria'. Channel your energy towards stopping the evils in the polity and the wanton killings of innocent people for no just cause. Strange bedfellows of irreconcilable value systems cannot continue to be together.

You are free to pledge your allegiance to OduaArewanistan. It's a free world of choice wherein you have freedom of association. You don't expect every other person to tag along with you.

The Great Igbo Nation do not need the presidency or political posts to excel and survive.
Igbos have been far from political power and yet have achieved unrivaled success for themselves, but disgruntled and bile-filled fellows still have the guts to castigate Igbos for the unavoidable, impending doom at their doorsteps.

N.B: The essence of this information is mainly to expose the lies of the notorious history distortionists and wicked propagandists who insult and malign others continually with lies and falsehood, and shout and make much noise on every available media. This a tribe that is after all well known for being loose cannons. Uncouth, uncivilised and disrespectful set of people who made a career out of abuse and slurs.
The same treacheerous beings who precipitated the January 1966 coup and the 1967-70 civil war with their bloody 'Operation Wetie ' in the SW. They start trouble and heat up the polity only to run cowardly to hide in their evil Soka forest when the jungle matures.

Disciple of hate and propaganda, here are the members of Yoruba tribe that participated in the January 15, 1966 coup:
(See Ben Gbulie: ‘Nigeria’s Five Majors.’).

*Adewale Ademoyega is the most prominent Yoruba participant in the coup, there were other Yoruba officers who were involved at the dangerous execution stage of the coup. One of them is:

*Second Lieutenant Olafimihan, an officer serving under Madiebo in Kaduna. He was sent by the plotters to gauge his commander’s loyalty. (See Madiebo pp.17-18).

*Another is Lieutenant (some books refer to him as a Captain) Fola Oyewole. He, like Ademoyega, went on to fight for Biafra and wrote a book on his coup and wartime experiences. The book’s title is ‘Reluctant Rebel.’

*There is also Captain Ganiyu Adeleke who became an instructor in the Biafran Infantry School. For confirmation, see the list of coup plotters detained by Ironsi’s regime in Ademoyega pp.106-108, and this quote from Nowa Omoigui’s online account: ‘Mid-Western Invasion of 1967’: ‘Captain Ganiyu Adeleke, who had taken part in both the January 15 coup and the Mid-Western invasion before becoming an instructor in the Biafran School of Infantry was released at a later date after his co-plotters had been freed.’ Omoigui’s work is significant because, though he exhibits a high level of professionalism in his research, he has no sympathy for the January 15 coup. If his facts corroborate Ademoyega’s they are worthy of attention.

For the records twisting facts and history is not the way forward with the biafra issue... i dont know where you got your information that 31 people attended aburi accord, anyways here is the list of those in attendance.

Chairman of the Ghana National Liberation Council -Lt.-General J.A. Ankrah-Chairman
Lt.-Col. Yakubu Gowon- Head of State
Lt.-Col. Odumegwu Ojukwu - Governor Eastern Region
Major Mobolaji Johnson - Governor Lagos State
Lt.-Col. Hassan Katsina - Governor Northern Region
Lt.-Col. David Ejoor - Governor Mid-Western Region
Commodore Joseph Edet Akinwale Wey - Vice President of Nigeria
Colonel Robert Adebayo - Governor Western Region
Alhaji Kam Selem
Mr. T. Omo-Bare
Others as follows:

N. Akpan Secretary to the Military Governor-East
Alhaji Ali Akilu Secretary to the Military Governor-North
D. Lawani Under Secretary, Military Governor's Office-Mid-West.
P. Odumosu Secretary to the Military Governor-West
S. Akenzua Permanent Under-Secretary-Federal Cabinet Office

You are right about decree 8 but if you were in Ojukwu's shoe would you have accepted the inclusion of the power to declare state of emergency and suspend a sitting governor of a semi-autonomous state And most importantly why would Gowon include that even when it was not part of the accord. In simple English Gowon broke the accord by including that which in essence means changing the terms of the agreement.

Finally if the FG is sure about it self and its commitment to the biafra people, why not put it to test? let there be a referendum, if the SS opts out, the SE will go alone or may be Nnamdi Kanu will find out igbos love Nigeria. UK gave Scotland a chance why is Nigeria not giving Biafran a chance That should be the question not you wailing about what was ingeniously invented during the war

Indeed you don't give a flying f*ck but for a couple of months now you have been running amok on almost every IPOB topic with your lies and evil propaganda to attempt to quench the quest for emancipation?

If you're worth your silly rants make your backers sponsor counter-protests in the SE cities and see what becomes of you cowards. You can even take your delusion and insanity further by daring to use your boys to challenge any of IPOB peaceful protests across the Niger Bridge.

Just a reminder: IPOB matter is still causing terrible nightmares, heartaches and madness to unrepentant naysayers and enemies. You must be currently battling with the 3 ailments above.

You aren't seen nothing yet!

Nevertheless, you need to get this fact into your thick skull: there's nothing worth learning from a miserable hypocrite who is an expert in evil concoctions and propaganda.

Useless cretinous savage!

Oh my word! you are actually taking IPOB seriously, grin grin they promised you minister for internal affairs? go and look for something to do.

IPOB train just stopped at the Niger bridge, you didn't notice?

Aguiyi Ironsi used a quasi-unitary system of government to save the country from the looming anarchy after the January 15, 1966 coup. It was meant to be temporal and Aguiyi Ironsi or his people never gained any undue advantage over other ethnic.

AGUIYI IRONSI DID NOT DISSOLVE THE REGIONAL GOVERNMENTS OR RESOURCE CONTROL; GOWON WITH THE COLLUSION OF AWOLOWO DID!

Time to test your common sense the bold part of your comment claim that Aguiyi's decree 34 was meant to be "Temporal" young man, which section of decree 34 says that the decree is temporal? or you are the new spokesman for the late Aguiyi ironsi?
You have no right to sell your opinion on a law written in black and white, you have to quote the sections and sub sections of the law to make your point, that is the clear difference between educated people like us and IPOBastards.
you see why i tell you that the IPOB madness is fuelled by r@tards like you whose education is at its ebb, when you are lucky enough to get to where we are, you will feel a sense of accomplishment, for now remain on the streets burning tires exactly what urchins do.

The capitalized part of your post as usual is the cry baby, finger pointing nature of uneducated r@tards, let me quickly take you to the contents of decree 34.

Section 1 part 1 of decree 34 states and I quote

"Subject to the provisions of this Decree, Nigeria shall on 24th May 1966 (in this decree referred to as ‘the appointed day’) cease to be a Federation and shall accordingly as from that day be a Republic, by the name of the Republic of Nigeria, consisting of the whole of the territory which immediately before that day was comprised in the Federation".

Raw facts don't lie, so whoever promulgated decree 34 is the person who dissolved the regions, I don't expect an IPObastard to know that much.
Like my previous post implied, Yakubu gowon created the 12 states on the premise that Nigeria was already a republic no thanks to Aguiyi's Decree 34

I will not dignify you by calling you a liar, I will just finish you!!

Ojukwu became a governor appointed by Ironsi, Ironsi dissolved the federation and opted for a republic, why will Ojukwu ask Gowon to return the federation and how does "confederation" stop the pogrom that took them to Aburi in the first place?
The western regional government had no pogrom in the federation, the mid west government had no pogrom, why will Ojukwu think that returning the federation will stop the pogrom in the northern region?
can't you see clearly that the only reason ojukwu wanted a federation was to maintain his seat as the governor and giving his father's buisness empire a government recognition and backing.
I don't expect IPOBastards to have logical reasoning.

Ask yourself, who and who agreed on Aburi terms before sending Ojukwu for representation? are you saying that the SE had no person at the time? Ojukwu went to satisfy his selfish interest and nothing more, Gowon will not be s!lly to honor such nonsense!!

In 1972 Gowon and Awolowo proceeded to enact and enforce the Indigenization decree which led to the collapse of the Nigerian economy.

What has it got to do with Biafra and secession or you were m@sturbating while typing? when you are responding to people like us you should tell us which decree you are referring to to be sure you are not shooting blanks as expected.

I could remember vividly that I was the one who raised the issue of Land use act when I told IPOBastards that once biafra comes to live, they should kiss their properties and investments in Nigeria goodbye, a lot of you called me names, today you must have done a little research to know that I was right the reason you have re engineered your position to garner more sentiments that land use act is the reason you are not developed grin grin grin
I will not dignify you by calling you a liar rather I will finish you as usual. It is a verifiable fact that majority of Nigeria's oil and gas production come from Swamp, gulf of guinea, deep water Offshore and the JDZ. I have never met land in any of those places, so how does the land use decree apply there?

You only want the land use decree to be abrogated so that you will declare biafra but maintain investments in Nigeria, if you argue that land use act stopped you from developing, how did igbos get all the investments they own in Nigeria?
You guys are cheap thieves, imagine if the majority of investments in Nigeria is owned by Ghanaians how will you feel? Ghana must go does it ring a bell? should we abrogate the land use act to move from "Ghana must go" to "Biafra must go"?
You saw how the "Oyibo must go" movement rendered Zimbabwe's economy useless, Nigeria is too smart to allow something like that to happen thanks to the ingenuity of Obasanjo and other founding fathers, let me make it clear and easy for you.

We don't want a situation where you will maintain investments in Nigeria, Bring in biafrans to do all the jobs (like you did to lagos), in the end the money you made from the collective unity of Nigeria will be sent abroad to develop Biafra, while Nigerians remain in unemployment and poverty, even the united states had to protect themselves in a similar circumstance, American corporations migrated to tax free havens in Asia and middle east, the united states government had to respond with stiff import regulations and also restructure their Tax regimen, American citizens pay Tax both home and abroad to encourage Local patronage, so yes Nigeria has every right to protect the rights of her citizens.

The right to stay or leave is yours but I am telling you without prejudice that once you leave, you are leaving with nothing, build a biafra from scratch so that it will be the Biafra of your dream and the pride of biafran generations yet unborn.

The law was there for a reason and IPOB has given it a reason to deliver its mandate to the Nigerian people, I will advise you for free, spend more time studying than going to Aba road and Niger bridge to burn tires. In the name of protests.
Why do we need to repeal a law that is protecting the interest of Nigerians?

grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin Ojukwu who indirectly negotiated for his gubernatorial seat is responsible for? Go and hide!!

Gowon and his cohorts declared the civil war! And Benjamin Adekunle, one the Nigerian soldier, later attested to the fact that Nigeria declared war because of oil in the Eastern region and not for the unity of the country!

It is f00lhardy to think that ojukwu went to Aburi to make peace, the pogrom at the time had already consumed over 20,000 Igbos including Madam Anyamele the women market leader who was set ablaze in the Kaduna central market or all the victims of Operations "AURE", Ojukwu was not more igbo than those people for him to present personal demands to Gowon is more an insult than a heroic attempt.

NO!

Aguiyi ironsi was a peace maker no doubt about that but at some point he was politically incorrect and Ojukwu warned him, Dissolving the federation has taken away a lot of economic privilege from Igbos and also his lukewarm attitude on Kaduna Nzeogwu.
He inherited the government as such his first agenda should be to discipline the coup plotters (kaduna and co) that he never did, how can you have truth and reconciliation when you never served justice it doesn't make sense, people like us expected that the moment Aguiyi became head of state, he will round up the coup plotters and finish them, that act of goodwill would have created a soft landing for any reconciliation at the time. it is unfortunate that such political miscalculation cost him his life.
Follow the timeline, Aguiyi had six months to do the right thing yet he failed.

This is the only logical part of your post, the answer is not far fetched, after Murtala mohammed was murdered, Obasanjo inherited that government, in less than 3 months he had arrested the murderers and executed all of them, that was an act of good will and it is the reason for the WEST and NORTH political synergy till date.
The North trust the west and vice versa, remember how the PDP North rallied around Obasanjo during the 1999 jos convention? rem how oBJ returned power to the north for political equity? that is political correctness. Politics is not done by sending mad people to be burning tires on the streets in the name of IPOB. it is done with tact, finesse and sacrifice where necessary.

What did other Nigerians and their leaders do when Igbos where being massacred across the North in 1966? Did any of them come to the aid of the people of Igbodo and Asaba in 1967 when genocide was being carried out on them by the same people who are now having nightmares to still have Igbos in same country with them?

They don't need to care because Igbos brought it upon themselves, if Sardauna of Sokoto was not killed by Nzeogwu, if Aguiyi served Nzeogwu justice, You will agree that it will produce the 1976 outcome right?
You now understand why I took it personal when Nnamdi Kanu ordered the lynching of Kumuyi, because I know how bloody the end of that road is from history!!

IPOB train just stopped at the Niger bridge, you didn't notice?

Time to test your common sense the bold part of your comment claim that Aguiyi's decree 34 was meant to be "Temporal" young man, which section of decree 34 says that the decree is temporal? or you are the new spokesman for the late Aguiyi ironsi?
You have no right to sell your opinion on a law written in black and white, you have to quote the sections and sub sections of the law to make your point, that is the clear difference between educated people like us and IPOBastards.
you see why i tell you that the IPOB madness is fuelled by r@tards like you whose education is the ebb, when you are lucky enough to get to where we are, you will feel a sense of accomplishment, for now remain on the streets burning tires exactly what urchins do.

The capitalized part of your post as usual is the usual cry baby, finger pointing nature of uneducated r@tards, let me quickly take you to the contents of decree 34.

Section 1 part 1 of decree 34 states and I quote

Raw facts don't lie, so whoever promulgated decree 34 is the person who dissolved the regions, I don't expect an IPObastard to know that much.
Like my previous post implied, Yakubu gowon created the 12 states on the premise that Nigeria was already a republic no thanks to Aguiyi's Decree 34

What has it got to do with Biafra and secession or you were m@sturbating while typing? when you are responding to people like us you should tell us which decree you are referring to to be sure you are not shooting blanks as expected.

You saw how the "Oyibo must go" movement rended Zimbabwe's economy useless, Nigeria is too smart to allow something like that to happen thanks to the ingenuity of Obasanjo and other founding fathers, let me make it clear and easy for you.

We don't want a situation where you will maintain investments in Nigeria, Bring in biafrans to be doing all the jobs (like you did to lagos), in the end the money you made from the collective unity of Nigeria will be sent abroad to develop Biafra, while Nigerians remain in unemployment and poverty, even the united states had to protect themselves in a similar circumstance, American corporations migrated to tax free havens in Asia and middle east, the united states government had to respond with stiff import regulations and also restructure their Tax regimen, American citizens pay Tax both home and abroad to encourage Local patronage, so yes Nigeria has every right to protect the rights of her citizens.

The right to stay or leave is yours but I am telling you without prejudice that once you leave, you are leaving with nothing, build a biafra from scratch so that it will be the Biafra of your dream and the pride of biafran generations yet unborn.

The law was there for a reason and IPOB has given it a reason to deliver its mandate to the Nigerian people, I will advise you for free, spend more time studying than going to Aba road and Niger bridge to burn tires. In the name of protests.

grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin Ojukwu who indirectly negotiated for his gubernatorial seat is responsible for? Go and hide!!

It is f00lhardy to think that ojukwu went to Aburi to make peace, the pogrom at the time had already consumed over 20,000 Igbos including Madam Anyamele the women market leader who was set ablaze in the Kaduna central market or all the victims of Operations "AURE", Ojukwu was not more igbo than these people for him to present personal demands to Gowon is more an insult than a heroic attempt.

Aguiyi ironsi was a peace maker no doubt about that but at some point he was politically incorrect and Ojukwu warned him, Dissolving the federation has taken away a lot of economic privilege from Igbos and also his lukewarm attitude on Kaduna Nzeogwu.
He inherited the government as such his first agenda should be to discipline the coup plotters (kaduna and co) that he never did, how can you have truth and reconciliation when you never served justice it doesn't make sense, people like us expected that the moment Aguiyi became head of state, he will round off the coup plotters and finish them, that act of goodwill would have created a soft landing for any reconciliation at the time. it is unfortunate that such political miscalculation cost him his life.
Follow the timeline, Aguiyi had six months to do the right thing yet he failed.

This is the only logical part of your post, the answer is not far fetched, after Murtala mohammed was murdered, Obasanjo inherited that government, in less than 3 months he has arrested the murderers and executed all of them, that was an act of good will and it is the reason for the WEST and NORTH political synergy till date.
The North trust the west and vice versa, remember how the PDP North rallied around Obasanjo during the 1999 jos convention? rem how oBJ returned power to the north for political equity? that is political correctness. Politics is not done by sending mad people to be burning tires on the streets in the name of IPOB.

See a frustrated history distortionist and lying propagandist. A debased, notorious pogrom-loving spawn of lucifer calling someone a liar! This is the joke of the century!

If your evil concoctions are worth anything then Gowon government wouldn't have proceeded with the Aburi Accord and the peace talks let alone agreeing with its terms. History never recorded that Gowon government raised any objection to Ojukwu representing the Eastern region.

185 Igbo officers in the Nigerian military were selected and killed. As if that wasn't enough, Yorubas ganged up with their Hausa-Fulani-Kanuri masters, rushed into the streets and started killing Igbos and burning Igbo establishments in the North and South-West. And the pogrom and carnage lasted for 10 months with an estimated 30,000 Igbos dead.

Ojukwu had no other than to defend Igbos from extermination. And he did that gallantly not minding that he was an extremely wealthy man.

Frustrated Neanderthal savage from a juju-infested enclave, read the confession from Yakubu Gowon:
The former head of state, however, lauded Ojukwu for his courage in defending his people during the war, saying: “if Ojukwu were in my shoes, he would have equally waged the war.”
He also commended the Anambra government and management of the university for honouring Ojukwu with the change in name of the institution from Anambra State University to COOU.
https://www.nairaland.com/2440061/igbo-president-heal-civil-war

Wole Soyinka vehemently kicked against the war foisted on Biafra; Lt Col Ayo Ariyo who had rather resigned his commission into Nigerian army than fight against Biafrans and Ijebu Ode cocoa peasant farmers staged courageous opposition to Gowon’s war against Biafra.

https://www.nairaland.com/366016/matthew-mbu-tribalism-awo-north/1

Ojukwu lived fighting for the liberation his people unlike Awolowo who opted to become "boy-boy" to Gowon who was young enough to be his son, and in the process, sold the Yoruba nation to the Northern oligarch. And your god Awolowo could only but end his life in a most miserable way - suicide just like in the similitude of rat poisoning!

Ojukwu remains a hero today for standing up for his people! That cannot be said about even about the Yoruba General Oladipo Diya who wept like a kid before a junior officer because he was afraid of his life....after wilfully and knowingly plotting a coup.
And after 45 years of the Biafran war, your entire Yoruba tribe that is filled with loud-mouthed, 'suffercated' and diabolic cowards dare not think of it, not to mention trying what a 30 year old Ojukwu did.

Child of slavery, anger, hate and propaganda, you must be running mental by now and your slave masters must be very happy with your free ass-licking job.
It's a pity that you and your kinsmen have made careers out of lies, falsehood, noise-making, propaganda, abuse and slurs!

In Nigeria, unrepentant murderers and greedy parasites like you abhor history subject being taught in schools because it makes the you hypocrites bigots uncomfortable.

But you still feel obliged cooking up lies to satisfy your delusion and your paymasters.

It's quite amusing that a riff-raff is trying in vain to issue threats to thorough breds! Wonders never cease!

Let this sink into your thick skull: Land Use Decree or not IPOB is still marching on. If you're in doubt venture into the streets and put your stupidity into test.

Just to bust your bubble a bit: Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the current Emir of Kano, a Fulani, revealed the truth about the notorious liars and history distortionists by declaring, "YORUBAS ARE THE PROBLEM WITH NIGERIA"?
http://www.nigerianbulletin.com/threads/yorubas-are-the-problem-with-nigeria-by-sanusi-lamido-sanusi-elombah-com.111348/

In the 1990s MKO Abiola and his wife, Kudirat Abiola, were killed by your masters and heaven was not let loose and all that your agberos and OPC could do was to vent their anger on innocent people on the streets of Lagos; killing and maiming as many people they can lay their hands on.

Abdu$9l9mi and co poisoned Abiola in prison after being locked up for years.
Kudirat Abiola, 5th wife to MKO Abiola was gunned down by Al-mustapha in broad daylight. Bola Ige's life was snuffed out by "unknown" persons. Despite his kneeling and weeping before a junior officer, Gen Oladipo Diya was jailed for plotting a coup to unseat his master Abacha. He has not being his usual self as he was alleged to have been gang b9nged in prison.

Oladipo Diya - the greatest general in the history of Yoruba peole, knelt, wept and begged Abacha for his miserable life after wilfully and knowingly plotting a coup:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8VM9hZMYZ0

Ernest Shenokan was humiliated out of office like a street tout after just 80 days in office. Diya, Adisa, Olanrewaju were humiliated and thrown out of office like common man on the street.

Hausa-Fulanis have given prominent Yoruba men an overdose of humiliation that will last them a life time despite using them as slaves to prosecute the 1967-70 civil war against Igbos. But Yorubas have only but maintained a deafening silence and would rather point accusing fingers on Igbos who have been far from political power for close to 50 years.

Awolowo used starvation to kill millions of Easterners and he ended up in a miserable way by suicide and died fulfilled as he was short-changed from being the ruler of the country by the same people he served to unleash death on Igbos.

Benjamin Adekunle a.k.a the Black Scorpion boasted of his killing spree on Igbo civilians. And he ended his life in a most miserable way - he ate his own excrement until he chose death in 2014.

MKO Abiola committed a lot of atrocities against the country. Aside looting national treasury he was known to sponsor many of the coups in Nigeria. He arrogantly sunk some containers of Christian books and paid off the importer just to curry favour from his Islamic masters, and he indeed died unfulfilled.

MKO Abiola boasted that he can do without the Igbos. But when Yorubas started their trouble in 1993 using 'June 12' with their Odua Republic in mind prominent Igbos joined NADECO to champion the course to restore Abiola's mandate.

Ralph Obioha and Bobo Nwosisi were the only people with Abiola when he declared himself president-elect. Yoruba people were nowhere to be found and couldn't even protect him from being whisked away until he was eventually poisoned to death in prison.

And to worsen the matter Yoruba Obas sold Abiola and his mandate to Abacha for a mesh of porridge.

Despite the pseudo-president Yorubas had in the person of Obj who more or less kowtowed to the whims and caprices of his slave masters, do the average Yoruba person have better welfare than the Igbo person? NO! The Great Igbo Nation prides itself as having the highest concentration of middle-class citizens while squalor and penury pervade the Yoruba enclave.

Some time ago your masters dared Yorubas on Ilorin and Offa, declaring, "We Are Taking Illorin And Offa With Us, North Dares Yoruba: https://www.nairaland.com/885595/taking-illorin-offa-us-north "?

"And let me tell you that in the event of the breakup of this country, Ilorin and Offa will remain 100 % Northern Nigeria and not one inch of land will be ceded to yorubas".- Junaid Mohammed.
http://nigeriavillagesquare.com/forum/main-square/69271-north-ready-nigeria-s-breakup-if-junaid-muhammed.html

A couple of months ago Olu Falae was abducted from his farm in Ondo State by 6 Fulani herdsmen, in the presence of 200 Yorubas. He was kept in the bush for 4 days until a ransom was paid. And immediately all that Yorubas could do was to put the blame of Falae's abduction on Igbos even when Falae had revealed that Fulani herdsmen kidnapped him! And the Fulani herdsmen warned that if he dares make noise about the kidnap, they will come again for him.

Unfortunately for Yoruba they could not lay their hands on Igbo shops to loot and lock! There was no Iyaloja or Babaloja to impose on Igbo traders/markets or the Hausa-Fulani markets in Lagos.

WHAT HAS IGBOS DONE TO YORUBAS TO EVER WARRANT THEIR ETERNAL HATRED AND CAMPAIGN OF CALUMNY FOR SO MANY DECADES NOW EVEN AFTER YORUBAS BACKSTABBED IGBOS AND COLLUDED WITH THEIR MASTERS TO GLEEFULLY COMMIT GENOCIDE ON IGBOS IN 1966-70?

In the 1990s Yorubas used the June 12 brouhaha to heat up the polity and cause havoc and destruction in the land.

Immediately after Nigeria's independence in 1960 the SW region was aflame with Awolowo vs Akintola political fight which blossomed into the 'Operation Wetie'. The arson, maiming and wanton destruction of lives and properties subsisted until the Army boys struck in January 15, 1966.

Here's actually an excerpt, albeit it was written by Emeka Esogbue but it is a direct summarization of Emma Okocha books.

"It was this battle that gave birth to Murtala, a “Local champion” called Ibrahim Haruna and Ibrahim Taiwo of the Nigerian Army. Africans first had the practical experience of the word “genocide” in Igbodo where hundreds of lives were lost in the Nigerian civil war. In Isheagu, the case was not different. It was here that the ulterior motive of the Nigerian troop clearly unfolded.

The people were now scampering for the safety of their lives having experienced what happened in Igbodo and some other places. In the Midwestern region, able bodied men went into hiding leaving women and children at the mercy of advancing soldiers. The people of Benin went identifying their Ibo-speaking neighbours from house to house for executions."

And a miserable history distortionist is here stating that there was no pogrom or killings in Midwest and Yorubaland. What a blatant lie from a notorious history distortionist!

You bloody cowards have threatened to kill Igbos and confiscate their properties across the country should they continue to press for a separate existence. And yet it's not working. You have tried your usual campaign of calumny to malign Igbos and it's not working.

Sorry to disappoint you bigot, IPOB train is still on course.

Raw truth from elderly Yoruba man
JUST BEFORE THE DAWN; LET BIAFRA GO, LET BIAFRA BE.
By Okesola Ajibola Olayemi

The United Kingdom (Britain) consisted of 5 kingdoms in the begining but today, the Welch, the Scotish, the Wales have gone their own ways and independently there are, ditto the old USSR. You dont impose it on people to live as one if they so decided to go, its a marriage of force by Lord Lugard when he (he wont rest in peace) amalgated us as a Nation.

I repeat here the Igbos have suffered in this country, let them be. The Yorubas must support the Igbos clarion calls of freedom and self independent for one good reason. The Northern oligacy jailed our revered father and the Asiwaju of the Yorubas by the power that be then. Gen Ironsi was the head of state, late Chief Odumegwu Ojukwu (a war lock and my hero) gave Ironsi so many troubles to release Awo, Gen Gowon then the 2nd in command from the Northern part of this country will not hear a thing of this. Gen Ironsi courtesy of Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu persisted Awo must be released.

Gen Ironsi signed Awolowo released papers and he Gen Ironsi was murdered same day before the papers could reached the then Eastern Governor Odumegwu Ojukwu. He Ojukwu unilataterially release Awolowo and ordered the Eastern Region senior police officers to deliver Awo...the avater to his Ikenne home save and sound. ( Pls see this in Fredrick Froster book entitled 'Emeka' at page 62) For this singular act, i belong to Biafra. My age mates and i were educated free of any charges by the late sage free.

Let the Biafra be and stop shedding their bloods for God sake. The Oracle at West End, Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State, South West Nigeria have spoken.
I Regret Fighting The Civil War -Akinrinade by mekusxxx:7:58pm On Nov 11, 2009

Nigeria risks disintegration, says Akinrinade

By Olayinka Oyebode, Assistant Editor and Emmanuel Oladesu, Deputy Political Editor

FORMER Chief of Defence Staff, Lt-Gen Alani Akin-rinade (rtd), yesterday regretted his role in the 1966 civil war.

He described the sacrifice as a waste of time.

Lt-Gen. Akinrinade said the post-civil war Nigeria was not a country of his dream.

The former Minister of Agriculture warned that the country risked imminent disintegration "unless true federalism is practised."

The retired officer joined other stakeholders to condemn corrupt practices in the country.

It was at the "New Nigeria Dialogue" organised as part of the activities marking the 55th birthday of the founder of Latter-Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, at Sheraton Hotels, Ikeja, Lagos.

The ceremony was organised by the International Centre for Reconstruction and Development, a Non governmental Organisation (NGO).

Speakers, including Prof. Ropo Sekoni, Mr. Alfred Ilere, Chief Fred Agbe-yegbe and Mr. Tony Nnadi spoke on the theme: "The Nigerian Federation: Fundamental Flaws and Creative Reforms."

The event, which was chaired by the former governor of Lagos State, Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu (rtd), was witnessed by former Governor Bisi Akande of Osun State, Dr Amos Akingba, Hon. Wale Oshun, Mrs. Jumoke Anifowose, Mr. Tokunbo Ajasin, Mr. Bisi Adegbuyi, Pa Adedapo Adeniran, Mr. Sam Ayedogbon, Mr. George Eke, Shettima Yerima and Mr. Yinka Odumakin.

Lt-Gen Akinrinade and other speakers rejected the 1999 Constitution, saying it was foisted on the country by the military.

To avert the collapse of the fledging federation, he canvassed restructuring of the country along the terms of the component units and a constitution that will promote true federalism.

The former minister said: "We must do constitutionally in Nigeria what Rawlings did in Ghana."

Reflecting on the journey from independence, Bakare agreed that the prediction about an imminent break-up of the country might be fulfilled "if urgent steps are not taken to address the grievances of the ethnic nationalities. "

He said Nigeria must learn from the disintegration of Soviet Union and Yugoslavia because they could not meet the expectation of the units.

Akande peeped into the future, saying perilous days were around the corner owing to the collapse of schools and health institutions.

Sekoni traced the tragedy of the nation’s federalism to the post-1966 period when the military foisted on the country a centralised system of administration.

Quoting the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, he said: "A multi-ethnic country can only realise its potentials when it embraces true federalism."

bolabolakemi:
A Nigerian by the name of Kanmi Ola Falase, fed up with his people’s unusual obsession with anything anti-Igbo or anti-Biafra, took to social media to express his frustration and dislike at such mentality from South Western Nigeria:

“How about carrying placards and taking bullets for Oduduwa Republic, in lieu of denigrating Biafra? It’s one thing to be riled vehemently against the agitation for Biafra on Yoruba soil; it’s another thing to be reminding the Igbos of the borderline fictitious benefits they’d regret to relinquish if they rightfully remain implacable about Biafra and break away from nigeria; it’s a different thing to always abuse, taunt and threaten the Igbos with war and total annihilation for being rightfully hellbent on exercising their inalienable Natural Right to Self-Determination, as a landed or indigenous people looking to control their own destiny; hence desirous of calling it quits with the coerced, stifling, fruitless, irredeemable MI6/CIA joint venture, aka one nigeria.

Rightfully, the Yorubas may not be favourably disposed to Biafran agitations within the Yoruba space, but why rather is the tendency too common amongst the Yorubas to always howl and yelp against the Biafra agitations that are initiated and carried out in some other terra-firmas different from an organic catchment of Yorubaland? Ewo ni gbeborun-un ti Yoruba ninu oro? Why is it a concern for the Yorubas whether or not the Niger-Deltans would eventually allie with the Biafrans? Why are the numerous lots of latterday “directionless” Yorubas easily counted amongst the loudest choristers belching recurrent hymnals of putting up with the nigerian charade — on the appeal to cowardice discredited platter of being cautious of inevitable war? If some Yorubas don’t support Biafra, it would be rather much better to necessarily observe some humane and rational measure of neutrality, and not blindly copy the new fad of suicidal support for the prevailing grievous and utterly dire overcentralized political alternative in a useless one nigeria, as to be found miming the discredited chorus of corruption is the single main problem. Corruption is but a symptom of something far more foundational and treacherous: the irredeemable systemic miasma of an overcentralized multi-ethnic nigeria. The main and fundamental problem is the valueles ideal of an indivisible useless nigeria. There’s no point howling against any people who, by any means necessary, seek the resolution of the nigerian question into various truly independent, workable and vibrantly organic Pan-African republics; even less so for the beleaguered, yet disoriented, Yorubas to stand at the forefront of issuing out cowardly reprimands against the rightful agitations of any people desirous to foremostly take charge their own destiny, as against rather taking charge the Yoruba destiny.”

Oluwole tout, may I remind you that the continual display of your lunacy in a public forum can only bring more miseries and disreputation to your diabolic people.

Ruminate on these comments by sane and sensible ones amongst your folks. Maybe you'll acquire some sense, someday...

Warn me? Do I sound like a confused bigot like you who doesn't stand for anything?

Do well to enrol in crash courses in Hausa and Fulani languages and also master Quranic verses in preparation for OduaArewanistan republic to make your survival easier.

And very importantly, you need to tame your lying tongue, nay fast fingers asap to avoid the heavyweight of the Sharia law.

Good luck!

Perhaps when you add the ADC's of all the people you mentioned you will realize where the 31 came from.
The point I made there was that Ojukwu went alone to determine the fate of Igbos, where does that happen?
Who approved the demands Ojukwu passed to Gowon? Even Zik was furious over Ojukwu's demands, like I asked, How does confederation solve the pogrom? none of you could answer that.

UK has referendum in their constitution unlike Nigeria why do you expect Nigeria to enthrone an Illegality to satisfy IPOBASTARDS?
If Nnamdi Kanu had any sense, lobbying SE senators to sponsor a constitutional ammendment would have been the first step of the struggle.

That part was not Ojukwu's fault, the war started from Opi around Nsukka, first land corridor taken, Murtalla invaded through Asaba that led to the demolition of the Niger bridge, you expect ojukwu to route supplies through Owerri -portharcourt when PH fell as early as 68?
That would be suicidal.

The Federal govt offered Ojukwu a land corridor. If Ojukwu had accepted their offer, it would have been the federal govt's headache to get the food to them through land. Why did he decline it?

Why will you offer your enemy a land corridor in battle? The ABC of strategic military dorminance is to secure as much advantage as you can at the early stages of battle not to prolong it by granting concessions to your enemy.
Your submission makes absolutely no military sense.

No, it is not a submission. It is a recorded fact. Whether it makes military sense or not, is not the issue, but those who made the suggestion during the war obviously believed in its merits. There are records that state clearly that Gowon/federal govt offered Ojukwu a land corridor through which food could be gotten across to him. Check the archives. Ojukwu declined it and preferred to release images of starving children to the world.
