I think the op come with an agenda rather than being subjective to the thread tittle he creates 'the difference between shia and sunni'. hence taken the political side leaving the aqeedah and spiritual practices of both, but fine! it does please your whim and add to our knowledge. it will be difficult to debate with you, and if i am curiose can you explain the reason of shii extreme stance on our beloved Prophet(s.a.w) sahabas(r.a) to an extend Aisha(r.a) the mother of believers? and the concept of mutah; the justify prostitution in shiism?

Like I said above, try to learn by reading both sides of the arguments. That's how you can learn.

Cc: olayinkajnr when I see the way youths today think and write, my heart bleeds and I always tell myself that this age can never be an intellectual age. I read your ALL your comments from the beginning till the end. Its pathetic. Very disappointing from a "student of learning". Never meant to insult you in anyway.

Yeah, I understand. But sorry if this sound insulting. I don't mean to insult you in anyway either. But it kept me thinking. I've gone through all the thread you listed. In fact, I saw your argument with MrOlai. It's educational but you sound like a Shite. Are you one of them?

Well, I've learnt alot, seen alot and thanks for adding more to it that Shite has some odd practices.. . And if the answer to my question is Yes, then seriously your post on those thread are very pathetic (no offense) and very disappointing and like I mentioned above, I won't involve myself in exchanging any form of words with any Shite. They sound convincing and one can almost fall for them. Something I'm not willing to risk. Yes, I'm a Sunni Muslim and I don't hate the Shite. But I speak based on what I've seen from them. Or will you call the Shite over here hypocrite? A Shite can correct me but in a more sincere way. Speak the truth of your practice brother.

And Allah knows best.

Well @Albaqir, beware of being slave to intellect, it makes you abandone the basics and dwell in the bush. we are discussing a new thread, i don't think you read the opening post? that is how intellectual know how normally do to people. the links you posted is also from #Nairaland which we can all go and debate from. if you are trying to add to the op, just do it and stop complaining about the youth learning. sorry for my deviation from the topic. and i don't mean an insult either.

.my question to this statement of yours is

What constitutes the truth if not it ability to convince people, and draw them nigh to itself ?..

Probably you've studied christianity and had dialogues with christians..and I don't think you consider their arguments as convincing..why?

why do most sunni's avoid reading shite article,,cause they fell it will impair their faith....isn't it because what is with the shites is better than what is with sunni?

I really feel what comparative studies should do is strengthen your faith and trust in that which you believe in.if shias and shiism impairs your faith I think you really should give it(what you believe in) a second thought

Kunlexic, the thing is that, someone already into the practice will find it difficult to believe you. But I know cause I've seen. He knows cause he is one of them. Hence will say anything to debunk your claim. So, I'll advice you to just ignore and exit the thread like I did. grin grin grin
Salam! pls give him proof if you have it, i am also interested in it, by the way i am practically a sunni.
