Do you want the FG to empower the South East? A steel plant was supposed to be built in Enugu due to the proximity to coal but after the war they set it up at Ajaokuta and built rail tracks to move coal from Enugu to the present steel complex.

The US currently generates about 40% of its electricity from coal fired plants and yet the FG will not allow Enugu state to build plants that could provide steady power supply to people from the region or the country for that matter.

It is this type of tribal politics that pisses one off in this Nigeria project.

The most sensible way to turn the tide of politics in Nigeria and make it more grass root oriented and hence foster wider spread development is decentralising power from the federal goverment and giving states more power. Such can be achieved through the house of reps and the senate. I know I am stating the obvious but I mention it again to encourage well meaning Nigerians to group and lobby around members of the legislature in order to get important bills passed.
