The NASS guys make me sad every year. These guys don't seem to care if everyone else is dying; it's all about their already overloaded stomachs.

I'm too sure but I read somewhere the feeding allocation is about N1.7 billion. Way top crazy, IMO.
I just don't want to believe that figure. I saw that 1.7 somewhere on this forum too.

You won't get it because it is hidden in the presidency votes...mr president WI decide how the votes of 40 billion(capital and recurrent) is split amongst the presidency subheadings

Zero budgeting is a clever way of avoiding preying eyes like yours
don't you think it's a better option of budgeting?

No. It makes even oversight difficult.... They will come and explain away the fund.

Ear mark gives you the opportunity to ask questions as it relates to allocations to specific project. If you budget for Lagos Ore road and it is not done you immediately ask questions relating to it

Everyone should sheathe their needless swords today. We have a budget broken down here and it's our duty to dispassionately analyse it. There's a limit to partisanship; there's absolutely NOTHING anyone can do about it HERE.

The National Assembly keeps getting huge budgetary allocations every year......N115 billion is still way too massive them......That's more than the budget of a few Nigerian states.

I'll have to do more works on why the Presidency will be gulping close to N20 billion; maybe there are certain agencies I'm yet to see captured under it.

Labour and employment gets just N7.8 billion? IMO, too meagre.

Government must stop this pilgrimage waste......its nonsense. Anyone who wants to embark on it should do so with their own resources.

Science and technology gets N27 billion? Ridiculous. That's the future of any nation these days......

Total recurrent is just crazy......BALLOSKI, what's your say?
somethings just don't change in nigeria. ..when you think it would change it stays the same...cant someone just come and slash the amount received by the nass for good

Is there any difference between capital and infrastructure? And why is the presidency allocating a whooping 20 billion to itself in both capital and recurrent expenditures?

Over 400 billion has been handed to works without specifics.... They called it zero based budgeting... He will determine where and where gets his attention... Maybe, the time for 5 percent vote to come into play

Note that not all infrastructural development are capital oriented. Hence the difference. abt the amount air marked for the presidency, well I am not justifying the amt though bt his travels, stipends, allowances and a host of others, it's constitutional to make provisions for those, just like other statutory transfers, bt d cost can be trimmed down.

You are actually the joker here, what dunce like you haven't realized is that your rants, wail, whine and cry only ends here.

People who are far more intelligent and have superior political suave here have written and said things far worst than you,end up crawling back to what ever hole they came from.

I strongly suggest you keep your useless"feeling"about this government to your useless self and"feel"more about what you will do with your silly life in 2016.

I can give you 3 monickers here who wrote far worst things about Buhari's government, you are no where half smart as them.

Its only fools like you who still thinks 15 million Nigerians voted Buhari into power through propanganda.

For your information I don't criticise for criticising sake, it's borne out of my genuine patriotism and the quest for a great nation. Retarded fools like you who fall prey to politicians' foolery will never deter us. Whether Buhari spends 8 years or eternity, it's none of my business. The most important thing is a nation that's governed by sense of purpose and not deceit. OK? Enjoy your rants in 2016.

Whaoh! A whooping N57.7billion allocated to the Office of National Security Adviser while the DSS got meager N7.6billion.

Somebody must be a joker here. How can a govt that spoke so loudly about intelligence gathering through its party before coming to office now relegate the DSS to the background with such paltry sum but chose to allocate close to N58b to NSA's office despite demonising the last administration?
I have a feeling that Buhari's administration may end up been the most clueless and corrupt in Nigeria's history.
NSA is d office that gather more security not DSS,Nsa are like CIA.let us see how much d last admin budget 4 NSA.I know Dasuki inherit all of Abacha loot.

stfuareyouGod Baba pls I need you to explain something here. I am aware the budget had been submitted to NASS, any idea on how long before it may be approved? Since the budget is for 2016, am guessing it has to be approved before the end of 2015, and do the ministries start getting funds by January 1st 2016 or it may linger longer into 2016?

Mad goat. Why are you placing yourself on a level you don't belong? Why are you so daft to think I am acting as Jonathan's voice? Did the ex president inform your senile head he's running for presidency again? For the up tenth time, let it sink into your deranged mind that nothing will stop me from taking Buhari's govt to the cleaners whenever it takes us for a ride, not even Zombie rants from people like you. OK?

According to Nigeria’s Financial Year Act of 1980, Section One, Nigeria’s budget year shall run from January 1 till December 31. If a budget needs to be run it has to be completed by October which means that this budget is already significantly late. There is no way the government would pass the budget by January 1 because the national assembly needs at least 90 days to scrutinize it

As to how ministries gets fund before then, I'm not aware

I hope this answers your question

Thanks, yes it does. It However confirms my fears, since the budget is late and NASS will need at least 90 days to go through it. Meaning funds may not be available till late February or March.
How would the various agancies function till then?

well, I think it's still gonna go with 2015 excesses. Kind of supplementary. It sure won't be funded with the 2016 budget. Since it's yet to be approved. My brother, we are in a mess

My concern is this statement of "no money" will linger till February. Least one can do now is accept the situation on ground and look for a way forward pending when things will take effect. Thanks Boss.

well, I guess that's the bitter truth. We have to forget the next 3 months cuz nothing tangible can be done before then. It's obvious, they were not ready. There was no master plan
