Kano Youths Lead In Drug Abuse Index Of The NDLEA by murphyibiam15(m): 8:16pm On Jan 01, 2016
The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Kano state has
seized about 12.3kg of dangerous substances in the last quarter of the year.
The agency re-stated that youths in the state were still leading in the drug
abuse index of the agency for the whole country.
The state NDLEA director, Alhaji Ahmadu Garba stated this while reviewing
the year 2015 activities in the state.
He added that his office has made arrest of 676 offenders while 214 persons
are currently standing trials at various courts in the state.
He commended officers and men of the Kano area office for their dedication
to duty without which, he says the success story would not have been made
possible.
Garba lamented the rising rate of drug abuse amongst youth including
women in the state which he described as alarming and then appealed to
parents, community leaders, Ulamas and other stakeholders to join hands
with his agency to bring the menace under control for the betterment of the
society.
He commended the cordial relationship between his agency and the state
government charged staff to rededicate themselves for the task ahead in the
coming year.

But the consumers are safer.

And there is one thing we do which an ibo man can never do. Thats we speak the truth. In my opinion, What the youths are doing is wrong and uncalled for but if it was an ibo man, he will blame the media for showing the suspect's name or just book space and keep quiet

Kano weed is total rubbish and since alcohol is haram and Adamu and Aisha must high , that's why tramoal and codeine is booming

Story goes that when sharia was instituted the youth started using codeine and when confronted by the hisbah brigade they will claim they have a cough.

Prohibition does not work. This is how dangerous bootleg liquor and drug use boomed during the Prohibition years in America

Abduljabbar4... I pity the likes of you because you are part of the problem in Nigeria.

We are discussing a societal ill that affects the youth of the nation, instead of condemning it, your bigoted tribalism infested mind won't allow you see beyond your nose.

You even had the effrontery to make a case for them and subtly place the blame for their anti-social behaviour on another tribe that were not even mentioned in such ills.

What is the difference between you and Gov Shettima of Borno who said "Boko Haram arose because of the 13% oil revenue derivation being paid to oil-producing states" and another drunken senator who said "all Northern states are oil-producing because oil pipelines pass through them and therefore they also deserve the same 13%"

You are just like Buhari and his APC worshippers/mastur.bators whose only preoccupation is blaming GEJ for all their incompetence instead of giving Nigerians good governance.

Keep passing the buck and don't make anything meaningful out of your life you hear?

as in ee...that guy abdulijabbar4 fall hand well well
but i wont blame him much but rather he could be having some sort of inferiority complex thinking his self esteem lies on what his tribesmen do...to me is a Nigerian issue and not a tribal thing.....but some ppl still keep playing the ethnic card worse than what the devil can even do

How are the consumers safer?? bros stop exposing ur ignorance to the world, how can u claim to speak the truth while ur first coment is to shift attention to igbos instead of condeming ur ppl. Tell ur ppl to stop being hypocrites and unban alcohol to reduce drug offences or else, igbos business will keep expanding in supplying them the drugs
