They are fueling the riot by encouraging the defeated candidate

Abuzola:

Ahmadinejad won democratically so let the united states and european union stop their unnecessary fuss, if it was a military takeover we would have been hearing condemnation all over the world. Islamic republic of Iran must not be deterred.

Are you sure about that ? Yar Adua and Oni (Ekiti Governor) can tell electoral observers and World nations critical of their victory to shut up because they "won democratically " but we Nigerians , perhaps like the Iranians who are protesting , know better !!! We certainly know enough to welcome the international voice of criticism against robbing a populace of the fundamental rights to choose its leaders as happened in 2007. Come 2011 when Yar Adua and the PDP rig elections even more outrageously will we , the real victims of such theft , be comfortable telling the USA and Europe to "stop their unnecessary fuss" since the PDP "won democratically" ?

Personally, I think that Ahmadinejad rigged the election . Disenchanment with his leadership was high similar to how Nigerians despise the distractive leadership of the PDP that is long on talks of "enemies" yet woeful at facilitating Nigeria's progress. Yet Nigerians are never allowed to vote out the PDP !!!!

Regardless of the motivation of the USA and Europe I think they are saying the right thing here.

Why didn't we have such demostration in US when Bush rigged himself in twice.

How come people like you always looking for someone to blame for your failure, Give me just one statement from the US and UK that fuel riot in Iran. The opposition party in the US are bashing Obama for keeping silence for not speaking out against the Iranian government and you are here saying jargon's.

Your signature read that you are a proud Muslim, does that mean being a Muslim meant you should not be objective in your judgement of the situation in Iran.

Americans , with Bush or without Bush , could still jump in their 5 litre 4 x 4, drive 10 yards to a KFC to purchase three bucket meal for three mouths . No yawa   cheesy cheesy.

Protest are usually incrementally louder and more vehement in direct relation to the degree of human suffering .Nigeria is an anomaly to that rule but , generally, folks who are badly oppressed will protest louder against repressive leadership than folks who enjoy luxuries the rest of the World , especially those in the "Third World" , envy.

Bro , its damned if you do damned if you don't !!!! Africans have for long pilloried the USA and the West for condoning fraudulent elections that brought dehumanising dictators to power everywhere . The World should uniformly show disdain and intolerance for election rigging and election riggers. If there is now a change in Western foreign policy to the effect that the USA and the West  are showing a readiness to consistently  denouce election manipulation , regardless of those involved, then I applaud this policy shift. Probably naive of me but we can hope  smiley

The USA won't become a Saint overnight but it may become better enough to begin consistently assisting positive changes throughout the World .
