We erect and bow to statues do not mean we worship them. God himself commanded Moses to make a snake and set it on a pole, so that all those who were bitten if they looked upon it would live (Num. 21:4-9). Did they worship the bronze snake? i'm not responsible for isaac's inability to recognize the contradictions of the bible. He certainly wasn't around before the theory of evolution and dating techniques. He most certainly would have had a very different perspective. I once believed these things myself.

Isaac believed the bible. Not some random guy claiming to break the laws which he believed were set by God.
