Misconceptions On Sunni And Shiite Differences. by Confirmer(m): 10:24am On Jan 05, 2016
I have seen a lot of Comments on the Sunni and Shiite iissues. A whole lots of misconception about both "sects" have been flying around.
The major difference between a Sunni Muslim and a Shiite Muslim is political and not theological. Both Sect believe in the same God, worship the same way, believe in the same Qur'an, Fast the same month, believe in the same prophets, face the same mosque in Mecca when observing Salat/prayer and every other tenets of Islam.

The only point of discord/difference is who ought to have succeeded Prophet Muhammed. The Shiite believe that it should be from the prophet immediate family while the Sunni believe it must not necessarily be from the prophet immediate family.

Springing from the above, the Shiite sect ascribed divinity to some family members of the prophet most especially Ali (the cousin of the prophet that got married to the prophet's daughter), Fatimoh ( The daughter of the prophet and Ali's wife), Hussein ( the prophet grandson from Ali and Fatimoh's union) etc. The Sunni of course holds the family of the prophet in high esteem but they don't ascribe divinity to any of the prophet's family member.
Allah knows best.
I'm a Sunni Muslim and I adore the Shiite for the sake of Allah.

Don't judge the whole sunni Muslims by an isolated action of your friend. If he hates a fellow Muslim, do you think he likes you?

The Shiites where in support of Mohammed's adopted cousin and heir to succeed him.

Then Abu Bakr in conjunction with Aisha (Mohammed's favorite child bride) are believed by Shiites to have murdered the prophet of islam and then assumed power for Themistocles.

The argument the Shiites are using now is what Abu Bakr used back then that is that Muslims can not be ruled by herridertary monarchies.

Then fast forward to several years later and a suspicious hadith appears claiming that only the Arabs can lead the Muslim Caliphate.

The Shiites are against this very Arab monarchies.

You don't even make any sense sir. Infact Shiite restricted the whole monarchy not only within the Arab but to only the prophet household. Even the household is restricted to only Ali and Fatimah lineage. Lalasticlala kindly move this thread to its final destination wink
