Is it possible to use a modem on my tablet without rooting it, if so please show me the steps or what apps is needed.

Not possible without root yet, you'll be needing p2p widget a root app to make it possible.

Theres a full tutorial at instructables but i would advise you to simply buy an otg cable which costs not more than 3h to 4h. You might end up ruining your tab's charging port since making an Otg cable yourself would require a lot of soldering and wire twisting.
