You're interested in getting to know this person right? So ask her questions about her interest, aspirations and life targets. You could start by asking questions about their favourite music, movies and books etc. You should be able to know the next question to ask after each response. Don't ask about her past relationship, ex etc, that's a date killer.

A question like what have you been doing this week should be an ice breaker to kickstart the conversation after the normal salutations.
