Kgdavid: Don't mind them. The illiteracy of a lot of Nigerians is absolutely shocking. I honestly don't know why they're troubling a third party who rendered a service and was paid for it, when the man who was in-charge of the country when it happened hasn't been questioned. Ditto the finance minister and CBN governor who released the funds. They don't even have a case in a court of law - all he needs to do is to basically provide evidence of what the money was used and who paid it to him. A decent judge would most likely throw the case out of court. The whole anti-corruption crap looks like hot-air to higher minds cos it seems these folks are more interested in chasing shadows everywhere. 1 Like |

stealing is a crime. receiving stolen goods is also a crime. the money was from jonathan to him, not from PDP to SDP. it is very disappointing when the ppl you expect to have sense display this type of behaviour. bros find our money and return it to us. those days have passed oooo! 1 Like |

If these former yoruba leader(as he is no more a leader) had done the right thing at the right time, he would not be in this sh..t. PDP reached an agreement with your party, yet you collected money from an individual and not the party. Ojukokoro has mes..d this man up. 1 Like |

Ladies and gentlemen, there's no accomplice liability here. As the Chief has rightly reiterated, there was no privity of contract whether in equity or law between SDP and Dasuki; SDP was dealing with PDP and so SDP could claim a substantially reasonable reliance/justification of dealing with a reasonable and responsible party; it is not for SDP to inquire as to the source of PDP'S funds. If there's any dispute, it should fall squarely on the shoulders of PDP as represented by Anini and the former NSA....therefore Baba, Go and sin no more |

Mishydoo: What's the correlation between how looted funds are distributed and a third party who rendered a service to a group it formed a pact with? SDP has a pact with PDP, not Dansuki. And the man was paid for electioneering on behalf of PDP, by a PDP Chieftain, not Dansuki. So why're they troubling him? Yes, he can be questioned but that's where it ends. Since you sound like someone who most likely listens to hip-hop...I'll use hip-hop analogy to buttress my point. Prior to Supreme going down for murder and laundering, Nas formed an alliance with Murder Inc., and he was paid by Irv Gotti for a few records. Then when Supreme went down, Murder Inc. also went down cos the feds/FBI believed Murder Inc. was used by Supreme to launder money. That led to Irv Gotti's arrest. But during the whole shebang - Nas was never arrested (I don't even think he was questioned). Ditto Ja Rule and Ashanti who were signed to Murder Inc.. Once you can understand what happened here, you'll know why he has no case in a court of law. You lot can cry from now till the end of time - but he isn't complicit in anything. It's between Dansuki and PDP. They need to let the old man be. 2 Likes |

Everfrank:Goes to show that you cannot legislate morals and intentions are always open to speculation; do not get it wrong, of course I realize how the game is played; the Law however is an ass and those who know how to ride it, will enjoy the benefits thereof; the Chief is not a fool, he has covered his tracks very well, you cannot level any allegations against him by Law. Until our so called leaders become more idealistic and sincere of purpose, Democrazy remains a veritable treasure bubble open to all adventurers and dregs of society to feast at will...corruption is rife, kleptomania runs amok, Buhari may impede its eventual conquest, yet its victory is certain...let the Mekunus and Talakawas pray for crumbs from the sumptuous feast....enjoy |

I am surprised that my once respected chief says he will not refund N100million traced to him. His point looks like a thief saying is not giong to surrender a stolen car in his possession because he never knew the vehicle was stolen. His children and friends should raise the money, make a refund before efcc boys mess him up. Let's avoid pre-mature death! 1 Like |

raumdeuter: I understand what you guys are saying and your position but we need to go further than that. For this corruption fight to be successful we have to be ruthless in the pursuit of collection. Over here there is a legal crime of accessory and another one a felony called receipt of stolen property. I'll wager that the Attorney General of The Federation can bring a criminal suit against this character for receiving stolen property. Please note that there is no defense to this charge of "I didn't know it was stolen". The fact that the prosecution can prove that you received the money (which he has agreed that he received) means that you are guilty. Further more, every single entity that was involved in the transaction or transfer of money between Nigerian government and this character is equally guilty of accessory to receiving stolen property. There are a lot of unemployed Nigerians, let's setup a privately owned prison system. 3 Likes 1 Share |
