Hello.. guys
please I heard that once a DSSC officer reaches 35yrs, he can no longer convert to DRC.
please how true is this.

I understand that is not every Nigerian that has the privilege to read the Harmonized Terms and Condition of Service for armed forces before applying to join the service.

The terms and condition of service booklet is a manual, a guide from which decision regarding recruitment and career progression is based. If you are close to any officer, just try and read through the booklet.

You will be made to sign the terms and conditions of service the moment you are commissioned which will be legally binding. They do this as insurance against unnecessary litigations that will come up as a result of some officers being retired at a very young rank.

To cut the long story short, every rank has an age ceiling, you will be retired at a rank as soon as your age is above the limit for that rank.

Remember, army subtly passed a quiet message in the SSC and DSSC advert that conversion to regular is not automatic, conversion is according to vacancy, that means the competition will be high. You must meet up with the requirements age, performance evaluation report, medical fitness inclusive. Many DSSC guys will start retiring at the rank of Lt Col

Please how many people per state do army both ssc and dssc, Airforce dssc and Navy dssc take after final screening?

And which of these arm of military takes people the more?
Re: Nigerian Army SSC And DSSC 2016/2017 Forum by Nobody: 6:32pm On Oct 23, 2019
Army take more people. The reason is obvious. The total size of army is greater than navy and air force combined.

For army DSSC, final list 5 per state. SSC 10 per state. Total 15 per state.

Navy, final list 3 per state

Air Force, final list 5 per state

For those who think they can japa when the gbedu becomes too hot, may be you can learn a little lesson from the officer in the link above. Cowardice is a punishable offence.

Note: you can do tactical withdrawal with sense in a way that will not cause loss of life and equipment though. In so far as your withdrawal did not cause embarrassment to army and loss of equipment, they may not charge you.

Take note future officers: an appointment can make OR destroy an officer. Careful how you make decision. An officer is naturally a leader.

A once healthy Major General all of a sudden cannot even carry himself because he has bought a big job in high currency. Gentlemen see the video in the YouTube link:

The man rejected the board of court-martial citing the animosity between him and the chairman of the court-martial (Lt Gen Adeosun).
The beef na since when dem dey NDA oo!!!
At the top those senior men dey beef each other badly, the politics at that level is devilish, your coursemate may set you up because he is eyeing one position or the other. That's why it's advisable for candidates with godfathers to lye low during interview cos you fit go expose yourself for your godfather enemy them go come use you settle scores..

O boy! De mata no funny at all. There was a senior officer who happened to be a coursemate of my uncle. He was a lawyer and has sat in several board and court martial. Off course such job create so many unnecessary enemies. They later set him up. He got demoted. They later discovered that his case was a set up BUT they never restored his rank. He became hypertensive and later died. May his soul rest in peace.

Boss you are right, I once said one of the minister for Local Government was my uncle, his immediate brother was in the Army, serving in Jos, he was so wicked since during his years at NDA as a cadet, he maltreated so many high ranking officers, denied many of their promotions. They set him up in Jos, he was on his way for Sallah break from Jos to sokoto, and an unknown public transport bus ran into his car and he got an accident, those at the scene of the incident said some guys came from no where and intentionally broke his two legs and his left arm. They took away some vital documents away from his car, they wanted to set the car on fire but the community didn't allow them. That was it, he came back home and started treatment, it took months without any positive outcome, they took him to India that was where he was diagnosed of Diabetes. To cut it short, he came back home after some few years he died.

His brother recently went for one Navy screening and one of the officers saw his family name, he asked him if he was related to the man and he said yes..... Boooom the just started passing his photo card up and down, showing other officers see so so so person brother. The guy didn't pass that screening

That's the reason why we should always learn to be humble and use what ever position God place's us in to affect lives positively. It's useless being wicked or mean to one's colleague(especially those you have advantage over), strangers or human being at large, the world is a very small place.
A common clerk in the presidency can use his position to fúçk a General up, in the military appointment supercedes rank. Major Mustapha(Abacha's) CSO and one Omenka I think a major also, dealt with alot of officers especially senior men. See that LtCol standing behind PMB that guy can end the career of a senior officer and nothing will happen.
