Dear Mods!

In recent times, there have been an upsurge in unverifiable and fictitious vacancy adverts and missleading job offers being posted on NL.

People of all sorts posting job offers with vague information of the companies or organizations offering such jobs.
Alot of folks have fallen victim to most of the fraudulent job offers being advertised on NL.

And please, dear job seekers you have every right to request for full information regarding any company or organization or agents offering any job offer. We will not for the sake of the current level of unemployment be subjected to all sorts of gimmicks and scams to hoodwinck unsuspecting job seekers.

So, dear mods, please ensure that any post relating to job offers or vacancies MUST contain detailed information, so that prospective jobseekers will be able to make well informed decisions.

This idea of folks requesting NLers to drop their contact details should be seriously looked into.

AND FOR THOSE POSTING JOB OFFERS, IF YOU CAN NOT EXPLICITLY STATE THE NAME & ADDRESS OF THE ORGANIZATION WITH THE NECESSARY CONTACT DETAILS, THEN PLEASE AND PLEASE DONT PUBLISH IT PERIOD!

We all must begin to take responsibility for our safety and our right to self worth.

LET'S ALL PUT A STOP TO THIS FOOLISHNESS....

Thank you.

Very good point brother but we must also consider the fact that people posting real job adverts are only helping and have nothing to loose if they should stop posting. This message should be directed to job seekers to verify the authenticity of the advert before applying and not discouraging people that are trying to help because of fraudsters.

@ topic, it is the duty of every member on the forum to help sanitize the forum. The moderators cannot do it all alone. Thats why there is the report button. If you suspect a job advert to be misleading, please click on the report button and state reasons why you think the advert is a sham. You are also free to send a mail to the moderators with your complaints/observation/suggestion.

From day 1, i have never encouraged the idea of dropping your personal contact details on the forum. I have hidden so many contact details and also sounded the warning on several occasions but some members are bent on disobeying rules and still go ahead to post their contact details. Only for some of them to come back crying about how they almost got scammed and wondering how the scam artists got their details.

I call on every member here to please cooperate with the moderators and support us to sanitize the forum by quickly reporting any misleading or fradaulent advert. The moderators cannot do the work of combing the forum without the support of every member on deck.

I wish the job seekers in our midst all the best in their efforts. This is 2016 and there are a lot of promising opportunities that will unfold as the days roll by. Develop new skills and knowledge and explore the opportunities as they come. Dont forget to pray too.

Have a nice weekend
