What is a Maritime institution doing in far away Zaria to begin with?

The right thing would be to scratch the Zaria maritime institution, convert the building to any thing else, no one cares, and build a new one at Delta state, I am sure Delta state government will even be ready to foot some of the costs for New buildings for the complex, if that is the problem, but we know better.

ZARIA has no business hosting a Maritime institution, it's an anomaly that must not be allowed to continue. A desert prevention institute is what Zaria and other far Northern states need.

Why should any sane President spend such an amounts on mere feeding and he's been paid heavily for the job with other emoluments.. He doesn't buy fuel or cloth himself.... That university would have wiped hunger from many families instead of budgeting for oil exploration in Chad with billions.

Amaechi announced the cancellation of the maritime university in Delta state and restated the planned upgrade of the institutions at Zaria and Oron (which happens to be a far cheaper and achievable option based on his available transport ministry budget). So on what basis is the Arewa group heaping praises on Amaechi?

What does the arewa group stand to gain by the cancellation of the university even though a plan to upgrade the Zaria institution was already in place??

The alleged praises from arewa would have made sense if it was a plan to move the maritime uni to the north, but that is obviously not the case. Apart from creating a north-south division and creating enemies and bad blood against Amaechi, what else could have been the driving motive behind this publication which is being circulated only by questionable media outlets?

Even though an outright cancellation of the university may not have been the best choice, I can smell from a mile away that this report is PURE PROPAGANDA to stir wicked emotions against Amaechi.

This letter has WIKE WIKE WIKE written all over it. It makes absolutely no sense and Amaechi needs to come and clarify this or else face a serious backlash[/b]

the Governor of that state. Our people doing all kind of legitimate business in Rivers State, including cattle rearers
came back home to tell us how fairly you treated them.

Propaganda. This letter looks like something that was written by Wike to castigate the person of Amaechi and alieniate him from his people. This is because of the rising profile of Amaechi as withnessed in the massive recent defections from PDP to APC, and a re-run election is very likely.

There is no way a northerner would say publicly that he is thanking Amaechi for betraying his people, even if it is true.
