Why is it so absurd especially in Nigeria for a guy to call a fellow guy pet names such as: Sweetheart, my love, darling etc., While ladies call themselves such names. Questions bothering my mind. 1. Why are guys not comfortable when same sex calls them such names? 2. What comes to your mind as a guy, if a fellow guy calls you such names? 3. How do you feel if a fellow guy tells you he loves you? Feel free to add yours. IMO, There is nothing wrong with a guy telling a fellow guy that he loves him, though I'm not comfortable with any as stated above. Reactions needed. |

The first respondent said it all and brief. A fact to that is the culture wiring in us Africans, Men are not to show love to each other but to the opposite sex. Reason for this is, The Africa system breeds you to be alpha male and be socialized to survive independently so no room to show love in the jungle of survival predominated by males. #survival of the fittest. 1 Like |

OP let me answer your questions 1) We don't do that sh*t cuz it's not manly its very feminine. 2) Maybe he's gay or he's just trying to wash me to do something for him 3) It depends on how he says it... if he sounds so emotional saying it then I'll feel uncomfortable and just conclude that he's gay |
