zuchyblink: How can a monarch exist outside of his own territory? Is the said monarch living in exile? Ohaneze has rightly termed such EzeNdigbos as cultural chairmen, which is even in line with your opinion on preserving and projecting the Igbo culture in foreign land. So why exactly do you need such cultural chairmen to term themselves "His Royal Highness/Majesty"? It is very foolish for a butterfly to think itself a bird. Akure cane will certainly be employed where such stubborn and arrogant defaulters are found. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

Viktor1983: No need to wonder. The answer is simple. When the British got to the North and West, they met well established traditional institutions with intelligently designed hierarchy and orderliness. Unfortunately when they got to the east they met Chaos, zero orderliness and no defined leadership structures. This is the status quo in the east till today. No respect for any constituted authority at all. It is a shame that any normal people can be proud of this. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

The truth remains that Ohanaeze has not legal or traditional right to bar anybody. However, I think these Ezeship titles outside I band should be dropped in favour of a non cultural title and this is not because anyone is insulted. |

Ohaneze, remove the Igbo attached to your name. You don't represent even 0.0000001% of Igbos and their interests. |

zuchyblink: But the popular historical culture is that the Igbos have no king, so why the sudden greedy romance with kingship and titles even in foreign land, especially when tribes that ruled empires as a culture have no such desires? One Nigeria recognises traditional institutions as cultural heritages of their respective geographical locations. As Fulanis roam the country believing they own every land as their grazing field, you erroneously believe you have the right to setup a traditional ruling royal hierarchy on foreign soil. Your newly assumed culture without a history and appreciation of boundaries will ensure that the Akure flogging is only a child's play to the education you will receive subsequently in Yorubaland. 1 Like 1 Share |

It's only a prodigal son who disrespects his father even when his father is wrong. No matter who you are, you will never amount to anything if you keep cursing your fathers becauee thats who Ohanaeze Ndigbo elders are. The same way I respect ANY president of my country and governor is how I respect these elders even if they behave wrong attimes. The Bible admonishes we respect people in "constituted" authority. No wonder the Hausa are in accord: they honour their elders. We used to insult them for drinking nunu, in our igborance we didnt know know that nunu is milk needed very much by everybody. That we also lacked. Maybe that's why we rant all the tune without rrasoning. We must change and become mature if we must be taken seruously. |

zuchyblink: Who says they want to kill people? Its only those who are uncomfortable with their grazing on their land or in their field. Unfortunately the fulanis have to defend their culture and also expect the uncomfortable host to get with the program or ho and die. When you guys make statements without thinking deep of the repercussions, this is how it can end. |

When you guys make statements without thinking deep of the repercussions, this is how it can end. There's no law against grazing too, and those innocent fulanis just want to graze on your farm, shìt on your crops, stomp your fields and give you manure. Is that too much to ask? |

AbdulHaram: Can you explain why Igbo always blame Yoruba for their failures? Ohanaeze is trying to restore orderliness within Igbo, you have to be happy at least a step was made toward sanity. Sanity has been absent before, during and after British rule. Igbo must learn to be accountable for their actions instead of blaming North and West for their woes. If North and West has been very hostile like them, they won't have luxury of making Hausa and Yoruba land a place to setup business not to talk of mini-HRH colony 1 Like |

Africans have demonstrated more than enough their determination to remain in one phase of societal evolution. Do an inquiry and you'll discover 99.9999% of Nigerians think "tradition" and things having to do with royalty and culture is unique to Africa. Truth is all societies that are advanced today passed through it when they were still backward and didn't know better |

Oguguah: Nope. Most of the evil are in the middle belt. Get enlightened. And if you are saying their activities are unacceptable, then note that Yoruba take the same dim views of Igbo lack of sobriety and disregard of the hosts culture. Igbos here are saying that Yoruba should accept the way igbos live ( in Yoruba land), no matter how uncomfortable or dangerous it is for the host. I'm saying that thinking can be extended to fulanis too. Get enlightened. 4 Likes |
