While price of rice is going for 15k the governor is thinking of export, while the local market is short of supply . This is propaganda. I wonder why people believe everything they hear about my governor and development. Onitsha is a waste land.

I know of supply and demand but you can't ask igbos to return home and when they

Why not make ur local rice to that standard they love to eat?
We have a long way to go
Standard might be the same but the taste will still be different.
Like Thailand rice and Indian rice... same standard but completely different taste.
Or jasmine rice and basmati rice....

Our people are used to the taste of foreign important non organic rice. It will take a while for us to appreciate our own. That's why I encourage the exportation, cos once the white man starts patronising, then we will follow! Sadly that's who we are...

Even America has seen the potentials in that state and have been sending delegations upon delegations for partnership in business. America seems to have abandoned the federal government for Anambra. Thats what quality leadership can do to a community.

i have a friend that bought a plot of land in awka last year for 350K the problem is if you go to the high end areas ie developed areas of awka to buy land the price will be high...just the same way it is in Lagos,Abuja,Enugu and all major cities and state capitals.

He has no business with that, Nigeria operates a capitalist economy not socialist or communism! You said yourself, price is a derivative of demand & supply, he cant tell people how much they must sell their land. That land is so expensive there shows there are so many money-bags willing to buy at any price!! Here in Owerri, lands around new Owerri axis can go for as much as a hundred million per plot while in the suburbs like Egbu, Nekede, Orji, Naze etc you can get a plot for as low as 1.5 million! You can check "Biafrarep" handle for more details.

Read my posts, I never mentioned exporting, first they should improve on the quality of the rice and feed Nigerians before thinking of exporting. You can't claim to export rice why you yourself eat imported rice.

You are crying already when Greenwood(Millennium city) area of Awka is now going for 80-120 mil per plot depending on the location. I know this because Coscharis just concluded a deal there recently. The truth is that there is a very high demand for people all over Igboland and beyond which is forcing the price up.

Why export when we also need to flood our markets with our products first. Please roll the rice out and lets reduce rice importation.

This is commendable I urge all the Governors in the south east and south south to provide an enabling environment for our people to come home and establish industries for the betterment of our zone. More so our people should start divesting from Kano, Lagos and move down home to improve our region.

Mind you, I'm igbo.

So what's wrong with his statement God bless Igbos?? We really need to shed this arrogance, hardwork and industry is not the preserve of one state.

I live abroad and i have seen strides made by Igbos from every state and the massive investments they are making home and abroad, not everyone is busy making unnecessary noise..

God bless Ndigbo

The North, FG or even Buhari is not our problem in the south East, it is purely lack of leaders with Ndi -Igbo at heart that is. Facilitating the infrastructural underdevelopment from the Governments.

Just imagine having this kind of Governor in igbo states since 1999 coupled with our numerous individual developmental efforts, ala- igbo would have been an enviable industrial hub in Africa even with the little federal government contribution to this region.

The last time I visited onitsha I couldn't hold my joy but shout "willie is working" then I started to marvel if it was the same allocation that Imo, Abia Even Enugu under Gburugburu receive that anambra is receiving.

I expected Nnamdi kanu to start his sanitization from home but instead he went pursuing rat when his house was on fire because am sure even if Biafra is actualized today we are not going to import leaders, na these worst that the zoo politicians that will head the affairs.

God bless Nigeria.
you are so right, i toured Onitsha and a permanent smile, almost mbecilic was on my face...people kept looking at me as if I had taken some weed, not knowing that I was almost dying with pride...

I think It began with peter obi, Willie the Willie just maximized efforts...Awka itself is like Abuja early 2005

Anambra is the new Abuja...booming massively! Investors are trooping in like craze explains the hike...high demand, low supply. Hurry and get it now for 13 million. If you wait till next yr, it will be 26 million.
it all depends on the location shaa cus there are still lands of 700k, 900k and 1million in awka am saying it because am a land agent based in awka. you can still get cheap lands in awka if you go through the right channel.

My dear, where did you see land at that price in Awka? Just curious. Do you stay in Awka or your dad only visits there. How many plots cost your dad 7 million. Don't mind my questions but am just surprised.
