Looks like an alligator to me. Not sure though

It's a crocodile. Not unless alligators are now migrating from China and the U.S. (their natural habitats). Plus, alligators have u-shaped mouths and crocodiles have v-shaped mouths

That is exactly how an alligator looks, unlike the monitor lizard been displayed by nairalanders naming it crocodile..

If it were a crocodile, the officer wouldn't have carried it on his bare skin.

It is a crocodile. Alligators are not native to AFRICA. It is a simple fact.

So in essence, there will and can never be an alligator found in Africa? Never, ever? As in, never, ever, ever? So it can't even escape from a zoo too or it's not found in any zoo in Africa?

There are no alligators in West Africa. The way animals are misnamed in NL everyday gives me cause for concern. That's a croc, an immature one.

Even our elite troops has joined the killing of nature's gifts. Even if this animal had become a nuisance, the could have captured and donated it to a zoo.

OK then, but why is it so? Is it that they can't survive in our weather down here or they actually scared of being killed and fed on by my Nigerian brothers? cheesy
