I made the mistake of comparing Nigeria to a mansion built without doors or windows packed full of expensive items in a ghetto neighborhood. in actuality Nigeria is more like the foundation for a mansion laid in a ghetto on which the impatient owner placed expensive furniture and started living, regardless of the fact that there are no walls, roof or doors to prevent, rain, sun and thieves beating down on his family.

For the mansion called Nigeria to survive in the Ghetto (Africa) the builders need to erect doors and walls ( Borders controls) hire watch night (security apparatus) and identify and name the legal owners of the mansion ( birth and deaths registration/ identity)


Like I've always stated and some may not like it but Africa is in a mess. Nigerians are largely blind to this fact because of self criticism. We believe we are the worst place in Africa. If you believe you're the worst place in Africa you're likely to believe, as many Nigerians seem to do, that other places in Africa have more to fear from us than us them. While this is may be fun for some to believe, in reality the rest of sub Saharan Africa is deplorable. This is increasing insecurity in Africa and if unlike South Africa (another relatively wealthy nation like Nigeria), Nigeria has no form of immigration control and our citizens are not xenophobic like South African citizens then we will be open to uncontrolled influences in addition to our own and the result will be an increase in the type of killing now perpetrated by those we lump together as "Fulani Headsmen".

simple . i continue to wonder how they came to their communities and routed them that much while they look on impotently .no form of defence at all.

How are you sure that these so called herdsmen are not Boko Haram members pretending to be herdsmen to carry out their usual activities of killing innocent people. Let's be practical; we must legalize igbó, legalize prostitution and every Nigerian above 23 must be allowed to carry gun(s) to defend himself, family and property. Are the "authorities" not aware that these fulanis are fully armed? Other people should be allowed to be "fully armed" to defend themselves. The security system we are running has failed completely; we are even finding it difficult to rein in oil pipeline vandals! Armed robbers operate for hours in some areas without the law in sight!!! Nigerians should wake up.
