Dear Dictator General

I recently read in a Nigerian News Paper, a speech you gave where you said, “we should not allow national discourse to degenerate to a level where we begin to see a difference between our past and present in terms of absolute. Evil versus good, corruption versus holiness, soldiers versus civilians, saints versus sinners, we are sharpening the edges of conflict in the society, and where as our national discourse is still an endangered practice”.

Dictator, your ethical degeneracy is complete, and your shamelessness has become even more emboldened. How dare you! How dare you purport omissions to the chronicles of the Nigerian past and present? How dare you suggest Nigerians not think about their history in terms of Military and Civilian Rule, in terms of prosperity and hardship?, and in terms of extra-judicial killings and peace?

By: Femi Oyesanya

Dictator General, you have lost your mind! In the same speech, you appointed the role of “Founding Father” to rubbished Leaders like yourself and General Yakubu Gowon. Now, tell me, who made you and Gowon Founding Father of Nigeria? Did you not come to power by military siege? You make me spit! Founding Father my foot!

My Dictator General, the reign of Kings, Heads of State, and Tyrants like yourself, will not be written with the denial of history in mind, as you may wish. In as such, Nigerians will always remember your term as a ruler as a period of high level corruption, political instability, and extra-judicial killings. History remembers you as a coupist. History remembers state sponsored public fund stealing, and History remembers the killing Dele Giwa. These are absolutes! Absolutes affirmed by the Oputa Panel Report.

My Dear Dictator, I read another article, a BBC news article, which you stated, “I will contest in the election. Under the banner of the Nigerian people," You really like to impress yourself by saying rubbish, don’t you? Jesus of Nazareth! What is wrong with you? First, you are far from bearer of the banner of the Nigerian people. Outside of like minded usurpers, your political constituency in Nigeria is zero! You are politically finished before the people! Dictator General, you are not fit! You are not fit to carry any banner of any Nigerian people!

Furthermore, you will never be able to govern the Nigeria people again. Even if you win a fraudulent election, by design of election malpractice, Nigerians will not allow themselves to be governable by you. Chaos will reign! Nigeria will become more of a failed state!

Dictator General, you ought to shut up! Each time you give a political speech, you rubbish yourself plenty. In the same BBC article, I read again what you said. You said, “I would rather simply define the challenge of our immediate next national leadership as this: To make whole again. To that I am committed”. Why do you insist on making a fool of yourself to the world media?

Dictator General, the spiral of Nigerian civil divisiveness began when you imposed yourself as Military Head of State, when you annulled democracy and cancelled the 1993 election. You sew the seed of discord, you damaged Nigerian democracy. And if Nigeria must be whole again, it must happen with your exclusion from the political process.

Dictator General, un-scrupulousness has eaten deep into your being. If not, you would not have written, “I also see the pain of dashed hopes, the agony of thwarted dreams and the regrets of expectations not met” Dictator General, if there was ever a person that Nigerians would give the crown “Curator of Dashed Hope”, that person is you! The custodian of “expectations not met” is you! The caretaker of “thwarted dreams” is you!

I totally agree with EVERYTHING in that letter. Where does this guy get the balls to say he'll run for presidency under the banner of the Nigerian people? I'm yet to see a Nigerian out there who doesn't think the guy is trash.

God Bless You For This Letter. It gives us hope there could actually be a way of out all this BS our leaders have been feeding us. I'm actually scared IBB might come back through fraudulent methods of course but this just kinda gives me some hope that Nigerians won't sit down and let that happen. Please lets keep educating each other.
