Ajibel:
Guy, you be learner as Ive seen from this quoted post. You also didnt know that is why this tournament was organised. It's because of 1. Test the preparation of the clubs (fitness level) 2. Allow clubs to try their new players.
Before the tourney began, Enyimba said they are not in it to win buh to get back into shape (fitness) so man, you cant know berra than the Enyimba trainers.
Have you followed the progress of that team from U17 ? If you did you would understand that team is indeed the future of Nigeria Football- How many losses have they recorded ? Coming here to tell me Enyimba is not Fit ? That team was without the likes of Iheanacho, Nwakili ,Alampasu and about 3 other key players. They deserve some credit man. I know football and I follow facts.

Ajibel:
Obviously, some of you dont follow Nigerian league. The flying eagles have been together training for many months whereas Enyimba, Dolphins started training for the super6 a few days before the tourney.
The U20s are good, no doubt, but the lack of match fitness from the clubs made their job easy.
I follow Nigerian league very well, most of the U20 players are from the league like Obinna Nwobodo who plays for Enugu Rangers, How can you even cite lack of fitness as an excuse ?what about the dream team ? are they not professional footballers ? Football is about focus and determination... Dolphins had giants in there back four ,so called experienced men but yet those boys gave them trouble from start to finish. Clearly said those guys where just that good.
SportsI See The Future Of Nigeria Football In This Present Flying Eagles. by 2pence(op): 2:47pm On Feb 03, 2015
I congratulate the Super Flying Eagles as they emerged champions of the 2015 Super six tournament. I call them Super Flying Eagles because I foresee them becoming the future of Nigeria football. I watched all there matches and all I can say is that it was never a fluke that they won the U17 championship back in 2013. What I saw was boys with a lot of determination with so much urge to excel and given to the fact that they are still young men they will certainly go far. For those that don't know the Flying Eagles defeated Nigerian champions Kano Pillars, former African champions, Enyimba and CAF Confederations Cup contenders, Dolphins and Warri Wolves in the opening four games to secure an unassailable 12 points and even lifted the trophy before there last game with Dream Team which also ended in a competitive 3 - 3 draw. To me that is a commendable performance and deserves applauding. One very remarkable thing about this team is that i noticed it was very easy for them to ease past these acclaimed big names of Nigeria football even without the regulars like Kelechi Iheanacho and Nwakili.

The future of the Nigeria football will indeed come from this team if they remain focus. As they leave for Senegal to participate in the Africa Youth Championship U20 qualifiers, I honestly do not see any team stopping them in Africa or at the world cup. I hate to single out players because the game of football is about team work and what validates any teams performance depends on the input of every player on the pitch but I must admit that players like Awoniyi ,Chidera Ezeh and Obinna Nwobodo where really exceptional and perfectly showed extreme maturity and class. Obinna Nwobodo is indeed a fantastic player and a complete box to box midfielder that can dissolve any team with his killer passes and compact play. If that man can detect standings and possess the ball in a match that parades giants like Dolphin,Kano Pillars, Enyimba and Warri Wolves Fc then I think it shows that the future of Nigeria football should be directed towards this team. Infact I propose we continue to monitor the progress of this current boys in the Flying Eagles because they are un-arguably the way forward to Nigeria Football. I am overwhelm by what i saw from this team and i think Coach Manu Garba deserves praise for the feat he has achieved with this team. I hope they continue to stay focused and make our country proud as future Super Eagles Players!

The flying Eagles is Super.

ONE NATION,TWO MORALITIES.

(THE REPUBLIC) By Shaka Momodu:shaka.momodu@thisdaylive.com

What started in hushed whispers and was quickly dismissed with incredulity as a mere beer parlour talk coming from idle minds, appears to be gradually turning into a scandal of monumental proportions that goes to the very heart of the Nigerian nation, barely three weeks to a crucial presidential election in which the person in question is a candidate. The more I wish the scandal goes away, the more intriguing and resilient it becomes.

I was very reluctant to make this intervention on the raging scandal concerning whether the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, possesses a secondary school certificate or not. But the more I ignore the controversy, the more worrisome the General’s attempt to so casually dismiss the grave allegations of possible fraud in his academic qualifications. The situation is murky, lurid and embarrassing with grave implications for the military and the country, and no one is providing proper clarity amid the smog of dust raised.

An otherwise straightforward issue is being explained in riddles, presumptions and evasive suppositions about a sterling military career which no one is in doubt of anyway. The doubt, however, comes from the foundation on which the referenced career was built. I have even read in some quarters that he holds a diploma certificate from United States Army War College. Well, to those arguments, I say as it is said in legal parlance, ex nihilo nihil fit, which means, something cannot stand on nothing or better still, something can only stand on something.
The constitutional qualification for a candidate to be eligible to stand for presidential election is a minimum of secondary school certificate or its equivalent. Otherwise, that person is deemed ineligible. As things stand now, Buhari’s eligibility is being questioned and all we get are emotive career profile responses spanning a lifetime, rising to the very pinnacle of the military as Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

The question now is: has the APC presidential candidate met this all important constitutional requirement? The nation is yet to get a concrete answer to this question.

Buhari’s first public statement at a press conference on the issue on Sunday failed to clear the air surrounding his academic records. If anything, it has added fuel to the raging fire. His argument that he has contested thrice before is unacceptable. He must go beyond the polemics and provide the necessary evidence about his certificate.

In a sworn affidavit earlier, the General did attest that his credentials and academic records were with the Military Board. That was the first curious move about the unfolding drama. Where are his original academic documents? As far as I know, no institution collects original certificates from a candidate for keepsake. The only copies collected by institutions and employers of labour are photocopies; original documents are only brought for sighting and then returned to the candidate. I, for instance, have my original academic documents. It is preposterous to say anyone will surrender his/her original academic certificates to an institution or an employer knowing full well that his/her entire life isn’t dependent on that institution. In any case, even if it was dependent on it, original certificates are your personal assets earned after being found worthy in character and learning. Even the most rabid supporters of the General know that original academic records are never given to institutions or employers; they are kept by the owner. I have spoken to few military officers in the last couple of days about the on-going macabre drama. They told me they have their original academic records with them. The question now is: why is Buhari’s case different? Can any of Buhari’s supporters whose original certificates are with his/her employer raise up his/her hand and be counted?

Okay, let’s even give the former head of state the benefit of the doubt that his academic certificates are with the Military Board, but he sure knows how to access them anytime he wants. And being a former head of state, his request to the Military Board for copies will be met with the utmost dispatch. Why didn’t he do that instead of rushing to swear an affidavit? Did he really need to swear an affidavit that his academic certificates are with the Secretary to the Military Board? It is worthy of note that Buhari didn’t say they were lost or burnt; he actually knows where they are, going by his affidavit. So, why didn’t he go and collect them instead of resorting to an affidavit? The army has issued a statement stating it has Buhari’s career records and not his academic records, stating further that all past military officers can request for the their credentials if they so desire. Why has Buhari refused to request for his credentials for onward submission to INEC, thereby taking the wind out of sails of this developing and embarrassing mess and subsequently putting the issue to rest once and for all? What is Buhari afraid of? Has he been living a lie all these years while pretending to be the most upright man in the country? Why did it take so long for the nation to find out the truth about Buhari’s academic or non-academic qualifications? Why is his party, the APC, unable to satisfactorily clear the air?
The argument by APC that he has commanded three divisions of the Nigerian Army, rose to the rank of a major general and ultimately became the head of state and has contested presidential elections thrice begs the question, and is neither here nor there. Where is his secondary school certificate upon which other possible academic records stand? As a matter of fact, it beggars belief that the party is making such a puerile argument, when what is needed is a robust rebuttal with unassailable facts by making a public presentation of his certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to quieten the doubts and suspicions. By taking the current position without a supporting shred of evidence, the party’s position has remained at best tenuous.

APC’s defence amounts to saying that a man who successfully committed a heist several times before he was eventually caught is not guilty of stealing because he was not caught in his many previous escapades. The question here is: can the grounds of past successful heists neutralise the fact that, that person committed a crime? Of course, the resounding answer to this is no. The fact that Buhari may have gotten away in the past and for so long because of the weakness of various institutions of state does not make it right. He has only been lucky that he operated within the regimented confines of the military establishment of a command-and-obey structure where questions of probity are hardly asked of superior officers. He probably got away in three election cycles because the rule didn’t require candidates to produce evidence of their qualifications. Added to that, is the fact that, it was taken for granted that he is a former head of state.

If Buhari is unable to provide evidence of a secondary school certificate or its equivalent, then there is a big problem. Whether he attended several military training programmes and courses is immaterial, if they were obtained without the basic qualifications to have become a commissioned officer of the Nigerian Army. The question that naturally arises from this is, which academic records did he use to join the army and on the basis of what was he promoted? Was he able to join the army and earn promotions on the strength of his ethno-religious background? Was it the quota system at play? Were entry requirements lowered for Buhari in 1962 when he entered the Nigeria Military Training College, the precursor of the Nigerian Defence Academy? What documents did he submit in the last three presidential election contests? The answer to this last question is that in the past, the rule only required a candidate to fill his qualifications, but that has changed. The rule according to Form CF001 now requires a candidate to not only fill his qualifications, he must attach photocopies of such. This was where the cat was let out of the bag. Instead of Buhari attaching his certificates as the rule requires, he ran to swear an affidavit that his documents were with the Military Board. Even if he merely filled his qualifications in the past, what were his claims? Did he swear to an affidavit to buttress those claims? If he did, won’t he then be guilty of perjury?

There are so many puzzles and fog surrounding this issue of Buhari’s certificate requiring urgent clarity. Ironically, the party that is riding on the crest of change and its candidate who has been rebranded and presented to Nigerians as a saint and the new face of change appear unwilling to subject themselves to the most basic requirement of transparency and the minimum legal requirement for eligibility. The sincerity of the change agents has been put to test, and instead of demonstrating that its “change” is not just a hollow sloganeering mantra, the APC has been foot-dragging and fiddling with the intelligence of Nigerians. And if I may remind APC and Buhari, “no one ever gets missing on a straight road.”

I have heard some people say, whether Buhari has a certificate or not, doesn’t matter, since a certificate is not what is required for one to provide good leadership. Well said. But my problem with that position is that it violates the law of the land. The more scary part of that preposition is his supporters’ willingness to tolerate this clear act of fraud by giving Buhari exemption from criminal liability of possible forgery and perjury while accusing others of corruption. And even arrogantly selling his candidacy on the strapline of integrity and unblemished record.

Now, how did Buhari spend his time before he was made chairman of PTF and after its dissolution? Has it even occurred to anyone that Buhari has never leveraged his influence and status as past head of state to support any worthy humanitarian cause such as eradication of polio, meningitis and even guinea worm that was very rampant in the North? Can anyone recall any forum where Buhari spoke to youths across ethnic and religious divides in an inspirational manner? Did he ever get invited to deliver any lecture anywhere in this country apart from Islamic events? Please, let someone correct me if I am wrong. Yet, this is the man who wants to change the fortunes of Nigeria, 30 yearWs after he left office as military head of state.

If the on-going controversy surrounding his certificate and his reluctance to clear the air with evidence is anything to go by, what legal and even moral grounds does he stand to aspire to the highest office in the land - when he cannot even meet the basic requirement of presenting his certificate? If proven that he has no secondary school certificate, then he may have perpetrated the greatest fraud in the military/political history of this country, and everything he has ever stood for will have no foundation anymore.

Think for a moment what the APC and its satellite groups - pro-democracy activists and our so-called constitutional lawyers would have done if a member of another party was the one accused of not having a certificate. All hell would have been let loose. They would be issuing statements everyday calling for investigation. But since this controversy broke, not a whimper from them. We have not heard that 60 lawyers are queuing up to defend the constitution against a possible breach by Buhari as they did to defend Speaker Aminu Tambuwal when he defected from his party, the PDP, and refused to relinquish his position.

Buhari by not producing his certificate means nothing as long as he is in APC. Talk of one nation, two moralities.

Mr Keshi,

Every body has got what they came to do, you have done your part when you won that Afcon is South Africa

It is rather disheartening NFF has allowed you to desolve our aplauds.

You have no plans now, what's your plan for Super Eagles ? Nothing

You have non performing players in your team than any other national team

Non-active players take posiition of in-form players ?

Can you try that in Ivory coast ? If you list a player in your team , you are the coach, you called him. You are too diplomatic for a coach , Go and work in High commission that's where your likes are.

You replaced Moses and babatunde with which players ? Same old non-actives.

Why not Obafemi ? We will watch your mess don't complain.

Don't post what you don't know. Secondly, someone here advised you to get a translator, l bet you, that will be the worst thing you will ever do here in China, try n see.Is it not better that a fellow Nigerian benefits from your money than a Foreigner?.to everyone, chinese market has a "percentage" strategy for marketing. E.g when you buy a bag or bags in the Leather market here in Guangzhou the person that brought you to the company is entitled to ¥2 per bag this is universally accepted in china. Had you not want kingsley to take part, you should have studied chinese language at Unizik before coming to china, you can't be taller and shorter at the same time. It is "shangban" meaning "Work" not Sampa. Kingsley actually went to work n you shouldn't expect him to return home empty handed. The chinese man that reported it to you will reap you off try and see. learn chinese language when next you are coming to China. You are calling Kingsley names now though l know is a Pseudo name, but when you will have one or two problems in China you will start seeking the assistance from Nigerians resident in China you won't seek help from d chinese off course they won't help you. Be wise and stop castigating your guy.
If shangban is work then what is Gōngzuò ?

Even Keshi admitted that all the players were selected based on merit and he has chosen the best players to represent Nigeria. I dont believe it when you said Nff imposed players on him. Anyway the issue is on way forward and how to get it right and not according our inability to perform with other people's failure. We are Nigeria , We also love to win the world and not dwell on excuses all the time.

You have a very low reasoning. How do you define being poor ? being poor starts from the mindset, you seems so poor in your level of reasoning and thats much more alarming than not having money , which section in that post did i mention that every Nigerian in China are miserable ? is Nigeria more populated than India ? how many Indians have you seen on the street of China hustling Indians? Did you read the post at all ? that was just an experience ok. Iam sure you have yours too, Why is it getting to you this much if i may ask ? If a graduate cannot boast of having 1k now does it mean he would go without having 1k for life ? that man kinsley is much older than me , from even his history/background he seems better than 10millions Nigerians out there , my thing is how could you go from frying pan to fire, and that was why i asked is leaving and hiding in China better than staying in Nigeria ? Listen you are not limited by Nigerian economy unless you empower Nigerian economy to limit you. We all have the same number of days in a year , our differences lies on how we use them .

Telling me to sharap is rather harsh.. This is my experience and i have every right to express my view using this medium. Informations no matter how foolish they seem could save a life out there. There are millions of Nigerians out there , if i could reach a good number of them who think China is a Gold mine and are desperate to travel , then dude i have achieved something. You saying if 50% of immigration applicants had money would they have filled up the stadium. Listen , if a smart graduate think outside the box and fry poff poff and bring to the stadium dont you know how much he or she would have made owing to the same numbers you mentioned . BusinessMy Experience With A Nigerian SAMPA Boy In Guangzhou, China by 2pence(op): 8:02pm On Jul 19, 2014
I travelled on a business trip to china, I met a Nigerian boy(Kingsley). Kingsley said he will be 29 years by October this year, A graduate of political science from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, He had moved to China after finding it difficult to secure a white collar job in Nigeria immediately after his national youth service. Kingsley said he had come to china hoping to find job or better still hustle. He said he had to sell off a small piece of land , the only landed property his late father left for him just to make up funds to come live in China.

Kingsley is one of so many Nigerians loitering the streets of china looking for people who have come to trade in Guangzhou that will stay in their apartment and have him volunteer to take them around core places of their business interest for a fee. When you come to china staying in a hotel is the best option you can take. I did that but I sort of found it difficult in communicating with the factory workers in English and I needed someone who could hear English and translate to them in Chinese. A young sells lady in the factory volunteered to help me call a Nigerian who can fit in that position and that was how I met Kinsley.

When she called him on the phone, it took 15mins and he arrived , I was impressed . For the rest of the days he was coming every morning to take me around the various places I needed to buy goods from. He would speak plenty of Chinese with them and told me he was bargaining for the fairest price. I thought he was helping and I use to thank him a lot. I didn’t know that for every purchase I made Kingsley has a percentage that was agreed between him and the sellers. So he was really eager to help and that surprised me too.

This sort of hustle in China is called SAMPA... I have asked and no one was able to give me a definite definition of that term. I search even in dictionary but couldn’t find any. Sampa boys are just people mostly Nigerians who have to china with 1 month business visa ,their visa had expired and they take to hiding in China. I really want this post to educate people especially the young Nigerians who are misled on a daily basis. I want the youth to know that there is no easy life anywhere, the quest to go to just anywhere must stop, have you made research about these countries you are headed ? Mind you, the current population of the People’s Republic of China is estimated to be about 1,390,510,630.

China’s population makes up around 19.3% of the world’s population. I later found out that he lady that called Kinsley to come and assist me was his wife and that Kinsley leaves with the lady in their family house (with her father and mother) the lady should be over 40yrs and Kinsley is 28/29, a graduate from Nigeria, can you beat that ! Their daily hustle is on Nigerians who have come to do business.

Infact Kinsley added a percentage that was rather too much that another chinese man had to call my attention to it and asked if that man were truly my brother. The chinese man opened up and told me about how Nigerians survive in china, he said many are in prison with no one seeking to bail them , some have no money to even come back, some were caught for drug related offences, tried in court and sentenced without their family or even Nigerian embassy knowing because they had been leaving illegally in China. Indeed Nigerians notoriety in China is unprecedented .

What i found difficult to understand was the fact that a graduate can actually descend that low just to keep going . My question is which life is better , Leaving in Nigeria or China ? I saw many hawking jellof rice and they only sell at night because they are illegal , at the end they use the money they made from selling jellof rice to club, smoke and drink, is that life ? when you ask them they say they prefer to leave in China because food is cheap . is life all about food ?

We need to start re-orienting people and our government must create jobs. Our youths are wasting in China. We can send people to learn and better themselves in china and not depend on some SAMPA. What is sampa that a Nigerian will sell his pride and cheat a fellow Nigerian just to make mere 10,20,30,40 ,50 $ ? Who are we to ourselves ?
If they manage to make 100$ then that will hold them for another 4 months , is that life ?
SportsNigeria Performance At The World Cup And Keshi's Score Card. by 2pence(op): 4:27pm On Jul 19, 2014
Just recently i blogged about my expectations and how i think Nigeria will fare at the just concluded world cup in Brazil. If you had followed that write up, I stated categorically that how far Nigeria will go at the world depends on the caliber of players we will bring to the mun dial. The world cup has come and gone with all high's and low's .We all saw some mind blowing surprises as it became almost impossible to predict any game. Indeed this world cup really ridiculed book makers . Whatever happened to countries like star stunned Spain, England , Italy , Portugal (with C.Ronaldo) these afore mentioned super football countries could not make it beyond group stage. I am sure that by now questions are being asked , I know that countries are submitting reports on their team's technical performance and making amends on how to get it right next time.

My question is how will you score Keshi's tactical Performance ?

After managing to make it to the second round from group f which had Argentina, Iran and Bosnia Herzegovina . The Super Eagles where eliminated by France in the second round by 2 - 0. In the first game they drew against a highly tactical Iran and beat Bosnia by a lone goal , lost to Argentina by 3 - 2 in their last game . So overall , Nigeria played four matches and won one , Though many saw this as a fair result , i actually think it is indeed a bad result.

Why?

With our level in Football and our players scattered all over the world at our disposal , i think we are suppose to go more than the second round. The issue is that Keshi's experimentation became un-ending and we continued applaud it, I saw some of his mistakes even before it came and every time i try to write about it , the response i get is '' he won the nations cup , he is a good coach, leave Keshi alone, The truth is politics has practically taken over almost every thing in Nigeria, We look for excuses in everything. In Nigeria it is most easy to chose the part of excuse, when we fail ,we make excuses instead of critically looking at the reasons for failure, Politics!! Truth be told, most of the players Keshi brought to the world cup had no business being there. What has Chigozie Agbim, Azeez ,Uzoenyi, Kunle Odunlami,Azubuike Egwekwe,Reuben Gabriel contributed to Nigeria football enroute world cup ? What were the criteria for making the world cup team at the expense of Obasi Ogbuke,Ike Uche, Nosa Igiebor, Sunday Mba, John Ogu . Minus six unproductive men from team of 23 and the answer you get was why we could not advance to quarter finals .If you noticed against Frence after Onazi got off the field after that bully tackle by Matuidi , the music ended for Nigeria, glaringly we had no replacement for him , if you also noticed , Azeez was going to be introduced but that moved was halted by Mikel who complained finding it difficult to partner with Azeez in the midfield. Tactical error from the coaching crew if you ask me. The French side knew how important Onazi was in that Nigeria side , they studied the team and had a game plan , When Onazi got off, the puzzle came. We had no bench , no player to replace the exact and actual power such that Onazi showed in all the games. Infact Onazi was the only link between the defence and the attack. The formation we played was not easy for our boys because they were not fit to keep up with it.Mikel was constantly playing long balls against Iran, even when it was not working , he kept doing it.

Permit me to say that Mikel Obi was suppose to be a driving force of the Nigerian team's midfield but rather Mikel found it extremely difficult to hold the ball, in fact all balls that came to him practically went retrogressive. What happened to him really ?

My point is the selection of players was key. In world cup , Countries are expected to come with their best , I honestly dont think we came with our best. How can you bring players to world cup and you are afraid to use them ? people don't come to world cup to learn, they come to show the world the class they are made of . Enyama did that , Onazi , Babatunde and Omeruo did that too . Overall i gave these guys thumb up because they raised their game.

The high points enjoyed by Germany started some 10years back. They went to the drawing board after a dismal performance in Korea/Japan world cup . Germany restructured their football and made it better,to actualize this, hard decisions were taken and it improved the quality of their league and their National team. Now everbody is smiling , Nigeria can do same .

What are we doing after the world cup ?

Is it same story as usual or would we analyze our flaws and strife towards getting it right next time as Germany did ? or do we resolve to blame games and excuses as usual?

Way Forward

I call on the authorities not to sack Keshi but to appoint a foreign coach that would assist him on tactical basis. Keshi should also thrive to upgrade his knowledge on current football but most importantly our boys need to start hustling for playing time in their various clubs.

Getting it right begins now !

Mikel was instrumental to Nigeria's exploit at d Nations cup which Nigeria eventually won - In that competition alone he was crown the man-of-match for 3 times- In our game with Ivory coast (Yaya toure) country, Mikel pratically tutored that midfield with all their acclaimed big names , Mikel might not have been most consistent in scoring goals - His duty in chelsea is not to score goals, He is a holding midfielder and he is a formidable factor in that department - If the modus operandi of CAF's judgement is based on club and country then I see mikel going home with it- I love to be cleared further while many think it should go to Yaya- Remember the year in review is 2013

Many followers of the Nigerian premier league can firmly attest that this year's cup chase has been the most dramatic. Dramatic in the sense that no team has ever enjoyed one week un-interrupted dominance on the league table without being dethroned by fellow aggressive contenders. As it stands now ,today will determine the league champions and the three other clubs that will be relegated.Champions Kano Pillars, Bayelsa United and El Kanemi are jostling for the championship, while as many as 10 teams are still not safe in the battle for survival.

Only Shooting Stars are confirmed for the dreaded drop.

Favorites Pillars lead with 63 points, followed by Bayelsa United with 61 points and El Kanemi have 60 points with a healthy +11 goals difference and all three contenders will play away from home and any of them could still clinch the title on Sunday.
Pillars who are desperate to retain the title, face a tough duel in Katsina-Ala, where they battle Lobi Stars who need all the three points to stay afloat, Lobi is currently on 49 points, and in 18th position and must beat Kano Pillars to end up with 52 points to stand a chance to escape relegation.

I was out on a bank routine earlier today and I noticed something that has practically become a norm here in Nigeria, I am sure many of you out there must have noticed it too, You walk inside of a bank here and queued up for a transaction and while still standing on the line the next thing you observed is people walking up to you to ask "PLEASE ARE YOU THE LAST PERSON"? grin undecided its really really very funny and its almost very impossible for you not to be asked that any time you enter a bank here. So have you had that experience before? let's share your views.
SportsManchester United: No Crisis In Crisis by 2pence(op): 4:26pm On Oct 01, 2013
Many who follow the history and achievements of Manchester United from the period Sir Alex Ferguson took over as manager of this London side would agree with me that the shoe he left at Old Trafford seemingly is too big for any manager to wear(my thought, I stand to be corrected). I am one of many who applauded the fact that he resolved to draw the curtain when the ovation seems loudest after so many good years to remember and so many trophies won . I admired the fact that it took so much waiting and scrutiny to get a manager who seems the right choice with details such as Fergie's, (on winning trophies and keep the tradition intact)

I am sure that many fans out there accepted that this was a Manchester United squad in need of reconstruction, despite winning the Premier League by 11 points last season. But what many do not understand now is just how long will this reconstruction last ? Just how long will United regain their first spot on the EPL table after Fergie's departure ? Where is Fergie's backroom staff ? did Moyes really ask these men who worked with Fergie to go? where will the advice come from? If he decided to dispense the services of men like Eric Steele, Mike Phelan and Rene Meulensteen then Manchester United is in for a long decline and fall. These are men who had been with Sir Alex Ferguson , Men who could have added one or two things to resolve the mediocre issue of United's midfield or is David Moyes a Mediocre coach ?

•Moyes Started playing career at Celtic and finished at Preston, where he played alongside young loan signing David Beckham between February and March 1995

•Ten months after guiding Preston to the Division One play-off final, Moyes took over at Everton from Walter Smith in March 2002

•Gave Wayne Rooney his Premier League debut in August 2002 before selling him to Manchester United two years later for a deal starting at £20m

•Steered Everton to fourth in 2005 and place in qualifying stages of Champions League

•Took Everton to FA Cup final in 2009, where they lost 2-1 to Chelsea after beating Man United in semi-final , yet in 2002
•Everton finished 15th, seventh, 17th, fourth, 11th, sixth, fifth, fifth, eighth and seventh under Moyes, yet here in Everton his not so good achievements even without silverwares where lauded.

Manchester United will see more "decline and fall" as standard keeps declining , if not how would you explain Rio's role in defeat by West Brom ,The 35-year-old laboured performance in defeat to West Bromwich Albion raised further question marks about his long-term future while Nemanja Vidic is 32 , Evra is 32 and Micheal Carrick is 32 , Van Persie has been superb at 30 but the hard truth still remains that Manchester United is an ageing side, really ! I had expected Moyes to buy a world class creative midfielder , a player with a class , one who can read and decide a game but he choose to go for Marouane Fellaini , very slow fellaini, was Fellaini the type of player United actually wanted? do not get me wrong fellaini is a good player no doubt at least United snapped him with £27.5m which I already think is outrageous for a player of his calibre. But come to think of it have clubs and players found it easier to say no to Moyes' United than to Ferguson's? Has the fear factor that used to swirl around Old Trafford with the brilliant management and intimidating presence of Ferguson disappeared? just all of a sudden ?

Ferguson could not have ruled by fear alone otherwise his teams would not have played with such freedom - but there was always an air of what might face them if they failed to produce. That's why they are red devils and that is missing aura as it is .

Up United !

[quote author=Nuzo']You are one of the few guys I respect here...so seeing what you wrote came as a shocker.

The OP has explained what happened to the car. They were on a high speed chase after being alerted of car snatching which may be for the purpose of of robbery, kidnap or assasination.
On rounding the criminals up, the armed robbers opened fire on the UNINSURED policemen. And in a bid to dodge the assault, they fell into a ditch.

What more do you guys want from these helpless policemen who wouldve had their families thrown out of police barracks with no compensation if they (police) were killed in the process?

The relevance of that wrecked car has been justified ! Thank God no police man died or sustained any serious injury.
