What is wrong with Nigeria and this certificate mentality. Certificate shoukd be a means to an end not an end in utself. We attach too much to certificate. This is why the country dont develop. Let him go to the labour market and distinguish himself. 6 Likes 1 Share |

You have a good point. Yes, students who graduate with outstanding results should not be given national merit awards because it defeats the purpose. However anyone would notice the bile in your words. You desperately wish to play down this feat. If there is anyone here who needs to prove himself, it would be you. The young scholar has proven himself and we recognize him. We don't know you. 9 Likes 1 Share |

I agree with the writer!. 5.0 is a personal accomplishment. It doesnt add anthing to the nation. He surely has a bright future and should be supported by the government if he decides to further his studies. But giving him a national honour. LOL 1 Like |

@op. You're not that far from the truth as I'm in appropriation with you on the ground that National Honor is a bit far-fetched. I also agreed that something like automatic employment, financial assistance should be enough to say the truth. However, I learnt something from the guy and that is being smart, he plays his card really well by putting himself in the spotlight through social medias. You know our politicians they like to score cheap popularity, and fortunately for him he works. Once again Mr. Dada congratulations. 2 Likes |

Oahray:If you wanted to play to the gallery with this rebuttal, you did a terrible job and you deserve all possible condemnation! You see in life courtesy and respect for another are vital ingredients of all interrelationships, however if you are too savage to manage that at least leave a man's family out of your focus for insults! You need to learn manners!... 9 Likes 1 Share |

Lol so what do you categorize as someone deserving to bag a national honour? what he needs is national recognition not some honour or whatever. Why compare Olajumoke and the guy? thats very shallow if you ask me. The best govt can do to the guy is fund any further studies or employ him in a good firm. The guy that designed the national flag and anthem we both and even this 5.0 gpa guy use till tomorrow, will you give him a national honour or recognition? Which has impacted the country more? opeyemi361: 1 Like 1 Share |
