ok when you power it up does the power light remain on after the fan kicks in ? and also the wireless light does it light up and harddrive does it flashes ?

try this hook it up to external monitor just to verify if the problem aint with the monitor

d power light is always on d sem wt d wireless bt d harddrive doesn't flashes.

I'm having problem with my (Compaq Presario) Drive D. It can no longer read CD, except DVD. This happen after installing window 7, now i have xp install on the computer, but drive "d" could no longer read CD. Please help me out. Thanks

keyboards dont really just fail normally it is after the spilling of liquids on it of which if you are sharing the other person wouldnt tell you

i was formerly using window xp on my laptop(hp compaq nc6220) and the wireless of my system was working.when i now changed to window 7 it stops working

simple go to compaq website and download the wireless driver for windows 7

compaq use same driver with hp so you can get from hp

@dfash. I think you should explain further about what really happen to it & what it shows when you ON it. But based on what you have said, i suspect the system BIOS have been tampered with, just go to the BIOS or SETUP & restore default. You can find the SETUP page by pressing the you will be asked to press when you ON the system, it's either F9 or F12.

is the driver meant your model and OS ?

@tunddy. How do you know that it's not working in the first place? 'cos how can you install a driver for an hardware and it's not working! May be your wireless adapter had been removed or you have turned it OFF from BIOS. Try and restore your BIOS default configuration. G luck.

@samolina1,i've checked it and it's not active, actually when i was on xp it works, what can now be the cause now that i'm running on window 7.

it not a matter of saying i think becoz if download the official site it asks you the model and OS

so you cani say i think if it from the official manufacturer site

.0what you want to do is to go to device manager and uninstall the driver you got and go back to the hp site and download the windows vista driver for the wirless card in that computer. Vista is closer to win 7 than xp so swap the xp driver for vista and see if that works.

logically simple though most phone i know dont broadcast but only recieve broadcast of networks

your phone should broadcast its wireless then your laptop will pick up the network

just like a wireless router it broadcast and wireless enabled devices pick up the network

most people do it through cables  eg blackberry desktop manager or windows media centre device though  it depends with the make of the phone

i swaped a Hp dv6 sata HDD into a dv5 system because i wanted to boot it and retrive somm files but it refused to boot afta d hp screen. I den replaced d dv5 HDD it still refused to boot. But wen i insert both HDD into anoda system both of them boot smoothly. I hav been doing it like dat to retrive files but dis time it just stoped to boot.Both HDD has sam OS win7.
Any solution for d lappy?

i did a swap of HDD on my two laptops they booted fine but the VGA and few drivers had to be installed for it to work fine

i think the swap corrupted and deleted some booting file

did you try to boot from CD/DVD?
