i switch between opera, firefox and explorer. But it still comes up...it's worst in firefox. I had to stick with opera.

it should, but not flawlessly. You might experience some noticeable flickers and/or lags. The laptop comes in different cpu and ram configurations.

Bro download smadav USB antivirus with your pc here http://www.smadav.net scan your system with it or insert any USB device like flash drive or mcard to it scan it with smadav after scanning click on fix all button restart your system and smile

Go to your start menu and type regedit, right click and select 'run as administrator, then navigate thus:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.lnk\ .
Delete user choice folder, close the editor and restart, good luck

For almost 2 weeks now, when I start my windows 8 laptop,it freezes about 1 minute after booting and I can't do anything except move the cursor and activate/deactivate the cap locks button.
But when I start in safe mode of which most of the functions of the laptop are disabled it goes smoothly.
I even tried uninstalling recent and unnecessary programs and cleaned the PC with both an Anti malware and Anti spyware but the problem remains...
I have also noticed that when I start normally and I manage to get to Task Manager, my Hard disk usage shoots to 100% usage even when I am not carrying out any tasks...
When I stopped any programs I suspect in the startup of the task manager, the issue still remains.
please I really need experienced responses on this as I have lost almost $60 worth of work in just 3 days as I can't do anything on my Laptop EXCEPT when on Safe mode.
What could be the real problem?

A. 1. I used Avast but when the problem started I uninstalled... right now I use malware Bytes and an Anti spyware software only.

3.As I work Online...everyday but I have not been able to use my Laptop EXCEPT on 'Safe mode'
4.I have scanned and cleaned out any detected malware and adware and after that scanned many times with no malware or viruses detected.
5.No sir,I have done 1 or 2 system restores.

Hmmm... since you have checked the startup items and stopped them. But wait, you only stopped them during the run and not permanently.

First I would advise you download ccleaner. Install it and run in safe mode. Clean the registry files and other junks. Also do remove all those unneeded items from the startup ezcept for antivirus. Others can be removed.


You would do well to also carry out a disk defragement. Your hard disk sections may be clogged and it's advisable to always carry out a disk defragement once in 6 months to restore sanity.
