Fulham's 5-4-1 has been very impressive against big teams

Aina just developed in the space of 3 months

Maybe it's Torino that has been holding him back

I'm not surprised, I always knew he would be a good coach.

During his playing days, he was very comfortable with the ball at his feet and I guess he would expect same from his players. He also brought in players with good technical abilities like Cavaleiro, Anguissa, lookman, RLC etc.

Brentford isn't too bad. Good stepping stone to the epl.

It's almost bewildering, Lookman has literally been Fulham best players from day one, he is consistent in his perfomances and playing from the Wing he is the main threat.

His work rate is also phenomenal.

So it just doesn't make sense he could not get game time in the Bundesliga with his club. Currently he will have quite a few clubs wanting to sign him at the end of the season.

Fulham Star Ademola Lookman- No Going Back On Decision To Swap England For Nigeria, Adarabiyio Clocks In As Well
Owngoalnigeria Jan 21, 2021 9:17 AM

Fulham rave of the moment Ademola Lookman won’t turn his back on his application to switch allegiance from England to Nigeria at senior international level.

According to Tunde Adelakun, the chief scout of the coach of the senior national team Gernot Rohr, they are waiting for FIFA to complete the process of the switch before handing him a call up.

“Lookman has applied for the switch and all the documents are in order,” Adelakun said, as per AOI last year.

“It’s a positive step forward when he made his commitment to Nigeria and we are just waiting for a Fifa clearance.

“Once the go-ahead is sorted, it will be up to coach Gernot Rohr to decide if his club performance would earn him a call-up”.

His form with Fulham were he is on loan from German side RB Leipzig has led to talks of the 22 making a u-turn on his earlier decision which was made while he was struggling to make an impression with RB Leipzig.

That notion has been squashed by a representative of the forward “ No going back on that. I’m not sure it’s even possible to halt the process without any strong reasons. All documents from Lookman have been signed it’s about FIFA and the English FA doing their own bit”, he said.

He went further to say same situation holds for Lookman’s teammate at Fulham Tosin Adarabiyio who has also indicated his interest to play for Nigeria at senior level despite representing England at various age grade levels.

“ Tosin is in as well and the expectation is that his own won’t take much time like Lookman since he didn’t play in any competitive game or tournament for England at youth level “.

Aina should be starting as RB for super eagles but rohr is clueless

My broda, pay attention to Aina wella...His positioning and concentration is very suspect...he is good with passing and crossing but his intensity and work rate for a RB is actually poor. I use to blame Rohr for not starting him but having observed him carefully this season with Fulham, I can see why he gets benched sometimes in Super Eagles. I feel he should have made that RB his own by now.

I know he is versatile and all that but even me that is not a coach can observe some of these glaring weakness...

All players get weakness

Aina is our best RB no Matter how you try to paint his bad side

The super eagles RB that rohr is playing are not better than him and it’s clear

Jordi Alba ,Alexander Arnold ,Joao cancelo and co all have their weakness

I agree with you, he is still our best RB for now...he would have to improve on this especially on the world stage when we go to world cup...See Sanusi for example, we know he is an explosive attacking LB, the former LB Collins was a defensive LB. Aina really needs to decide, I can't really say he is exceptional defensively or offensively in that role..all the players you mentioned above are exceptional at smtin for that role.

I was only pointing this weakness as to why some coach would not consistently play him in RB. At Torino, his dominant role was LWB...recently he plays in the 3man defense for Fulham but when they play a smaller teams he plays RB.

I am only being honest about our players that doesn't mean I'm not excited by them.

Ebuehi is good but I can't really say he his better than Aina. I need to watch a couple of his full games to see..
Based on the little I have seen in S.E. I know he is an overlapping RB but I don't think his defensive side has been tested properly in the Eagles.

For now Aina is still our best RB..He really needs to step up or else he might loose that position.
