JohnBullMySon: I said he used F words but it’s still not assault because he is protesting against the government. Remember, they are on official duty representing the government that sponsored them and not on personal duty hence can’t be seen as an assault. |

forgiveness:Who is too used to Nigeria's setup? You guys seem to have a misconception that outside the country, one is free to do anything. Very little things you get away with in Nigeria can quickly land you in trouble in most European countries. You can do anything you feel like in private but when it comes to the public space, the whole game changes. Even opening pornography in public can land you in trouble. The girls are not politicians and have nothing to do with politics. Even with protests, you must inform the police 24 hours before any protest. Even if the rest of what he did was okay, the attack on the lady was clearly an abusive and insultive behavior. How does he intend to get away with that? |

forgiveness: it is a verbal assault.. learn to accept when you're wrong and another person's point of view and stop trying to discredit the other person just because you believe your opinion must be superior to the other person.. this is one of the reason's for the b:uhari's bad governance and the ha:usa man misplaced outburst.. Nigerians and a lot of people spend most of their time trying their best to discredit other people that they don't achieve anything useful.. imagine having such behaviour and also been a ji:hadist, religious and ethnic bi:gotry combined, such person will never achieve anything.. if you ever become a governor you'll spend your time in office discrediting, blaming and castigating the previous administration and also the people you govern.. 1 Like |

I still insist the man didn't make any point he just wanted to gain cheap publicity which he has succeeded in doing for himself. As bad as things are we still have and operate a democratic process to get things moving in the right direction. If at the height of Abacha's reign when people were being killed and jailed, when media houses were being closed, when you couldn't publicly disagree with the government not to talk of abusing them brave men and women were still able to effect change then there's no reason you should feel hopeless now when we have so many means to change things for the better. If the man truly cared about the situation back home he would protest at the Nigerian embassy, lobby his senator, his house of rep, his local government chairman join civil society groups to demand better governance not this cheap and hurtful bullying of young women who have committed no offense except play the game they love, rep their country and provide for their loved ones. African Americans still have it tough in the US today but I don't see random Black Lives matters members walking up to Kevin Durant or any African American athlete for that matter to rant and rave about the state of the nation as they are the ones you elected to be president and governor. forgiveness: Your thinking will never cease to amaze me The nigeria state has the sovereign power.... it is supreme and not the government. For a state like N. Korea supremacy rest on the leader/government U need to understand basic politics The government works for the state same way the super falcons are representing and working for the nigeria state..... |

codemaniacs: Now let us look at it this way. If that man verbally assault the ambassador of Nigeria in Austria, what will you call it? Will he be jailed? Ipob and omkri have protested at many embassies. What happened to them? Look from a personal angle to a public and political angle. |

QED! Don't use our dear teams for any political agenda. If you also sincerely feel watching or supporting the Falcons or Super Eagles somehow translates to backing a regime you are free to give this thread a wide berth. JohnBullMySon: |

JohnBullMySon: Why was( omokri abi wetin demcalll am)not arrested when he verbally assault Buhari in England? Differentiate between personal assault and public protest. As long as they are representing Nigeria as at the time of the so called assault, it might be viewed as protest. They entered Austria with the intention to represent Nigeria and not for their personal interests. |

forgiveness: It will be called slander when the ambassador decides to press charges. Yes he will be jailed. Threat to Life can also be used against him. Ipob and omokiri inform police before they protest in any country and the protests are just a group of people carrying placards and not destroying public property so they can't be arrested or deported but I can assure you their pictures and data are in database somewhere in that country. 1 Like |

They are representing Nigeria which comprises not just the presidency but all 36 states and 774 local governments. They are not doing anything in the name of Buhari and APC. What the man in the video was ranting about is the policy of the buhari government not Nigeria as a whole period. forgiveness: |

You have been educated that government is under the Nigerian state same as sport national teams. Governments change it can be democracy tomorrow, dictatorship the next or monarchy the following week but the state always remains. It's the Nigerian state represented by the Nigerian people that give government legitimacy. You need to come out of this old military mind set that your loyalty is to however happens to be president or governor at any given time. Your loyalty is to the Nigerian people who have given authority to the president to execute the constitution on their behalf. forgiveness: |
