That's more like a 3-4-1-2 .. Iheanacho will definitely overlap the midfield...

And why the hell is Aina not starting?? He is the only natural wingback in that sqaud..
It could still be a 4-3-3 with awaziem and collins as defensive full backs...nacho as AM..oshimen flanked by musa and simon...think about it

3-5-2 against the almighty CAR, just as I predicted few minutes ago, that he would embark on a defensive set up to play to avoid defeat grin

This little preek has really reduced the super eagles to nothing. What would you now play when you meet team like CIV, Senegal, Mali, Algeria and Morocco?

Chriskels, it's not exactly defensive...its an offensive approach but to crowd the midfield and ensure more movements..simon is the key, he would have to run that channel a lot....trust me this is not a defensive set up..its to match the deep block pressing of the CARians...

Today's lineup. (owngoalnigeria finally leaked it out just now)

3-5-2

Okoye

Awaziem Ekong Balogun

Simon Onyeka Aribo Collins

Iheanacho

Musa Osimhen
Moses Simon shouldn't be starting games for the super eagles anylonger. Man is a big flop

Moses Simon is just a short one in this team. Input and output is zero.
Passes= zero
Pull ours = zero
Crosses = zero
Corner= zero

Its amazing how he keeps getting to start games

I take this statement back, no real change in formation just personnel...even if we win this game, Rohr is too rigid..the only advantage they have now is the pitch...

Andrew, where can we stream the match? The FIFA TV YouTube channel didn’t work on the first leg.

It’s 12:40pm over here in Lagos Nigeria which makes it 1 hour 20 minutes to our game be CAR

It should be 7:40 am right now over there in Maryland USA ,so be getting ready to steam in the next 1 hour 20 minutes

Same thing you said before our second match against South Africa when the mighty record breaker broke our head to head record with SA.

Same mentality you had before our second match against Sierra Loeone when the same mighty record breaker broke yet another record of Nigeria giving up a whooping 4goals lead.

Here you are again, repeating it after yet another mighty record breaking effort from the almighty record breaker?

Don't worry, e go soon clear for una eyes

I couldn't have said it before the SA match because both were first matches.

Musa for Ejuke? What a joke.

Simon starting? Lol.

Just go to the NFF Facebook page ...it will be streamed there...just that the streaming may be late..the first leg own was like 2 minutes late...
Alternatively,just search for the match on Facebook..u will see other pages streaming it..

I stream a lot of games on Facebook...it's more convenient than all these streaming links...

Jamilu Collins have been so obvious that he offers little to nothing going forward, when we play smaller sides, he should be bossing the game like a winger..he is so limited, too be honest I would rather have an out of form sanusi manning that left back. At least you know what you are getting, he is more adventurous, decisive with his crosses and more energetic. Collins looks so limited as a player it begs you to ask is this all we could offer. I would rather have a non-left footed player like Aina play the left side, he is more composed and better even he also has his limitations.

You prefer aina playing there ,but many of you guys like looking for fault for any of aina performance,I just hope you are not among them sha

Aina is good at the left or the right side but he isn’t appreciated Enough here

Tactically we can play both Osimhen and Nacho together, but we must switch to 3 - 4 - 1 - 2 Formation to make it happen.... Iwobi behind duo of Osimhen and Nacho.

grin

Lol....... I suggested the Formation but was expecting duo of Osimhen and Nacho upfront though.

Rohr shot himself in the Leg with lack of an AM in the Squad.

I really don't understand why ejuke is being dropped for Musa, and also d inclusion of Simon Moses, who I can't remember d last time he had a decent game for d eagles... D midfield is begging for creativity which everyone is seeing apart frm rohr.

If CAR could apply the same tactics as they did in Lagos, this match could end in a goalless draw. Expect no magic from your clueless coach because he will be playing to avoid defeat, as he would be scared to surge forward so that thunder doesn't strike the same place the second time. grin

I am just tipping us to win by just 1 goal

Those people will apply same tactics

Gernot Rohr has definitely overstayed his welcome. What kind selection is this one biko? Why punish Uzoho when he had a massive game in the first leg? Why couldn’t he start Omeruo in place of either Ekong or Balogun, especially Ekong? Ola Aina, even though he isn’t a natural LB is still a better option there than Jamilu Collins. And I will say the same thing about Ebuehi as well. Why did he suddenly stopped inviting Semi Ajayi and Ebuehi? To me, Ajayi/Omeruo combo is better than Ekong/ Balogun especially against African opposition.

And why is Henry Onyekuru also on the bench even though he always delivers whenever given a chance? Same with Ebuehi! To me, Rohr is just clueless and ought to have been fired immediately after the last World Cup.

Which one be massive game? Person wey de holiday throughout. First chance dem score am. Only Abdulahli needs to be pursued from that squad and Ebuehi brought in, though i think there is a reason Ebuehi was left out.
