wake up bro. Osimhen won caf highest scorer in qualifier with 5 goal and 5 assists. How many matches did ighalo played for man u? You are comparing the most valuable African striker with ighalo? Abomination!!!! grin

Good. One more step to go. Africa cup of nation golden boat.

So because Osimhen is the most valuable striker, he is better than Drogba, Eto, Adebayor etc?

Me know know oooo

Then why are you bringing up ridiculous comparisons If you know players can be good without fulfilling a certain criteria?

Osimhen must reach Ighalo’s level. How is that ridiculous?

Napoli is better than Man U in terms of current form. But first of all, can you bodly say it out that Ighalo played for Man U.

Napoli is not better than man u in anyway and should never be on the same sentence with man u

That is the point, how can Osimhen win Afcon highest goal scorer when he has not even played a full match!

I'm an Ighalo fan like you. But easy with the Legend tag na. Shuu.

If Moses and Ighalo fit enter this team again, I'd be happy. But most here won't like the sound of that. Only Ekong, Musa and Balogun are the oldest in the squad right now. Says alot. I won't mind having 5 older players.

But easy with Legend tag.

U are not really an Ighalo fan if u don't know he is a Granada legend. They invite him back for praises like every other year and he has an entrance at the club dedicated to him.

Don't be carried away guys
Rohr is still not it

There is nothing special about the line up
The players that lost in lagos would have still played same way and even better

This better pitch is doing the magic here

May God judge those folks that made the super players in TB stadia lagos....
If we lose, na Rohr fault but if we win na the players "Determination" i hear.

I agree with him. I have thought about that maybe the car coach can be our next coach.
He seems to be tactically good.
Rohr has some limitations that any well coached team can expose.
A team like Zambia with a few exceptional players (daka etc and a lot of carpenters and average players
might defeat us if care is not taken.
Maybe we should make him our next coach.
He seems like another Westerhoof in the making

If he is down for being owed for 23 months then why not grin I hope the person who posed the question gave him that information.

On a serious note I think his comment was tacky and lacks respect. U don't do that to your fellow professional and even to the country u represent. He was basically auditioning for a job after a loss.

haha.. he is a better coach no doubt.

Modified
But Nigeria is bigger than these low grade coaches.

I would rather go for the current Simba FC coach who has still not achieved anything in international football than the duo.

Why are we in the business of trying to help these low grade coaches make a name. Let them make a name first before they can coach a nation like Nigeria.

It is not about winning or losing a match but pattern of play . Tactically Rohr is not a sound coach , he cannot read the game. How did Sierone score 4 against Nigeria? This CAR that defeated Nigeria will be walloped by Algeria and Senegal. We played Liberia, CAR, and Cape Verde... What if we played Ivory coast? . Nigeria team has talented players full of individual skills no team cohesion because the coach is not tactical. More importantly, the coach has determined who will play even if the player is not in top form

That is some serious talk but if we look at things from a perspective, I feel the CAR coach might be tactically superior to Rhor but I can't judge after watching just a game of his and his side spent a lot of time deeper.

Either way, I doubt he can tactically scratch Amunike, Finidi, Siasia or Oliseh.

Please stop the Ighalo and Osimhen comparison it is unnecessary and will just make people pitch their tent in one camp against another.

They are brothers, fly the same flag and do the Super Eagles good when they get their chances. One person's success is a success to the Super Eagles pool. It is all team work.

Sadly I missed the game today but I tried to catch some few minutes of the game and will drop a brief insight.

I liked what I saw from Aribo and Onyeka. A far improvement from the last game. They showed fluidity and cohesion with each other and defensive setup.

Nice tactical switch. Also they returned the ball nicely under pressure. I just watched the last ten minutes and judging from that.

I must commend the coaching crew for the improvements but I want to single out a praise for Yobo. Since his addition, I have seen we play with a higher line of defense and we have reduced our negative tactics.

Even though he is still fresh, I see him as a nice addition to the team.

Time will tell when we meet stronger teams.

Oh.

These articles are saying:

"full-fledged dribblers are becoming rare,"

not

"dribbling is dying" , because that is impossible. So the headings are misrepresented.

Players like Ejuke who can take on any player have always been rare, this is no news. But dribbling is not dying one bit.

The "pass pass pass" football you mentioned is perfected by Manchester City, yet last season, behind closed doors, with no crowd to wow, Manchester City completed more dribbles than any other Premier League side except one.

In every top league in Europe, this was the same scenario: all teams that had the most passes completed the most dribbles.

So individual dribblers will continue to be one in a thousand, but dribbling in football can never die.
So 'rare' and 'dying' in the context of the history of football does not mean the same thing to you? Don't you know that football had more dribblers than it has today? Why is it becoming rare if it's not that it is an art form that is dying off?
Let me use an analogy from the natural world. We often here naturalist say a certain specie like when African lions were deemed endangered specie, the word was that they were becoming rare (as compared to their numbers before) as a result of the fact that they were being hunted down (dying off).
That's my point.
So it's my prognosis that if football continues on this current trajectory, dribbling will die off. I still maintain that stance. You disagree? That's also fine.

Point of concern in our build up play was when balls came to Simon Moses. The CAR players made him a point of Target and broke our build up plays there. One of the reason I am watching the Nation's League finals to find out the problem.

Brief breakdown next.
