Eguavoen is a very unserious coach. Imagine taking 10 attackers and putting Calamity onazi on standby..

It's obvious Eguaveon is stuck on playing 442. God help us, he hasn't learned a thing from our AFCON debacle.

I am on record for disapproving the appointment of Eguavoen. Never like him as a player either..

Familiar partnership at club level. If Bassey can stand the heat right away, why not?
However Balogun plays mostly LCB for club and country. Moving him right should not be a problem though.

I think the problem with Eguavoen is he focuses too much on our strength as a team and doesn't seem to also plan to neutralize the oppositions strengths.

We should have gambled on proven midfielders in their respective leagues to back up the ones we already trust.
Etebo and Amoo right now, is a no no

As long as he get the confidence to start againt Ghana in their backyard. He is a young lad. May stand the heat.
He is capable but we still need some caution I think.

By the way, the 16 year old, Bardghji, who I said was rooting Amoo to the bench at Copenhagen, just scored. Assist: Paul Omo Mukairu.
Amoo can't start games yet na, he just joined. Let's hope he gets some minutes today.

Etebo hasn't played competitive football in almost 6 months.

Funny thing is , talents are not going to decide this qualifier as both team have these. Coaching tactics and players' on-field discipline will.

My point is... I am an Amoo fan, watched all his games in Hammarby. He is very talented, but he is not ready yet. The pressure on him is too much considering how far he is from where his potential can take him too. A national team invite at this stage will not be beneficial to his development. He is not running away, when he is ready we will have enough time to play him and see his talent.

But Amoo dey chop ewedu o. Etebo's inclusion in my opinion isn't justified yet but I think Amoo's is. All 24 can't play now. Amoo fit no even make bench sef.

Eguavoen..... typical indigenous coaches playbook.

Invite the regular squad members with a few new players fans are clamouring for (Amoo, Calvin Bassey, Ademola Lookman, Dennis etc) hoping fans are excited/elated by the new invitees that the questionable and unmerited invitees will be overlooked.

Its a very attack heavy and midfield thin list. From the list, I surmise Eguavoen's is a tactically limited coach who is incapable of switching things up and will rather die on the hill of wingplay even when it's not working. I doubt he knows more than 4-4-2 formation sef.

I am not impressed.

I don't think Awazeim has played much for his club since the AFCON...
Same with Aina too. It's a known fact that sometimes the AFCON participation hurts our players as either other guys have taken their place or the team/coach decides to "punish" them.

Nope. Osihmen’s case is totally percent different. Osihmen actually wanted to come and fought until the last bullet before he gave up. Dennis was totally happy to skip the tournament.

As per Dennis being the best we have, I totally disagree. Our best striker today is Victor Osihmen. And I will take Odion Ighalo over Emmanuel Dennis any day and twice on Sunday.

O pari

Ighalo over Dennis

That's in a lower division bro where level of competition is very poor.

If he were doing it in La Liga you would have had a small point.

What of Onuachu? Is he not doing it at the lower division? Is Ighalo playing in a top five league? You make it look like we have a lot of strikers in the top five league firing in all cylinder. Awoniyi has double digit this season in Burnthisleaguedown but we all saw his performance at AFCON. Onuachu is statpadding in Belgium yet he couldn't replicate that form in the national team. Make una cut Sadiq some slack...for now, I'll only pick Victor ahead of him

I'll rather have Uzoho than Maduka abeg....a few days training will sharpen him up. This is a world cup qualifier,we need full concentration

Maduka wey dey start for his club, no be him dey swallow goals like Akpu every match. Until we find a good goalkeeper, Uzoho should man the post.
