My point is... I am an Amoo fan, watched all his games in Hammarby. He is very talented, but he is not ready yet. The pressure on him is too much considering how far he is from where his potential can take him too. A national team invite at this stage will not be beneficial to his development. He is not running away, when he is ready we will have enough time to play him and see his talent.

there is no such thing as been ready..
there is no such thing as someone is not ready.
there is no such thing as too much pressure.

It is not your place to say someone is not ready,
it is not your place to say the pressure is too much as long as its not your pressure.
it is not your place to know what is beneficial to his development.

unless you're an NFF insider who will play Amoo out of position just to ensure his failure in the national team..

Just like Sadiq and Awoniyi, Amoo will need national team confidence and national team fitness when playing for the S.E and he can only get national team confidence when he his playing for the S.E.

national team invite is long overdue for Amoo, Bonke, Dessers, David Okereke, Akpoguma e.t.c.

Eguavoen is a very unserious coach. Imagine taking 10 attackers and putting Calamity onazi on standby..

It's obvious Eguaveon is stuck on playing 442. God help us, he hasn't learned a thing from our AFCON debacle.

I am on record for disapproving the appointment of Eguavoen. Never like him as a player either..

I agree 100% with this post.

Are you trying to win an argument by converting Yusuf and Obinna to STRICTLY DMs?

But they're DMs now. This is a known fact...

If you followed the discussion and saw the post I was responding to I wasn't downgrading Sadiq's talent. I was disputing the premature claim that he has outperformed all our strikers in Europe this season because of the level he has operating at.

mostob:
What of Onuachu? Is he not doing it at the lower division? Is Ighalo playing in a top five league? You make it look like we have a lot of strikers in the top five league firing in all cylinder. Awoniyi has double digit this season in Burnthisleaguedown but we all saw his performance at AFCON. Onuachu is statpadding in Belgium yet he couldn't replicate that form in the national team. Make una cut Sadiq some slack...for now, I'll only pick Victor ahead of him

Our coaches hasn’t realize the importance of a solid midfield. They simply disregard the midfield and believe that having plenty inform strikers will always win you games. Although, super eagles are lacking options in midfield, our coaches has also disregarded it. I expect another imbalanced 424 formation with wingers that aren’t capable of delivering accurate crosses. The Ghanaians simply just has to pack the bus and hope for a fortuitous Goal. The only luck on Eguavoen side is that Ghanaians are presently worse than Nigeria although derby games has no effect

Ok. The bottom line is club performance sometimes doesn't get replicated in the national team

We’re not using traditional old fashion wingers that’s why it’s considered a 424

Double standard..

You’re comparing goals scored in Seria A or Epl to Belgium and segunda league? Quality Precedes Quantity

oga...show me where I insult Sadiq. Abeg count me out of any excessive generalisation you make here please.

And you're asking me how many 90 minutes Onuachu has played...this is funny. You forgot he was the first choice striker at the AFCON.

Osimehn and Ighalo have brought their club form to the national team.

Na Etebo go replace Ndidi. Amoo go replace Onyeka. Abi we go use Sadiq replace one of them

Oga, there is no debate here. Tell me their primary position or move on.
TBH, either of the two should have been invited ahead of Onazi but saying they will replace Etebo and Amoo does not in anyway correlate.

Etebo hasn't played competitive football in almost 6 months.

Funny thing is , talents are not going to decide this qualifier as both team have these. Coaching tactics and players' on-field discipline will.

The reason why we can even score the list 70% OK is because this coaches are just starting

I don't trust this duo of Austin and Amuneke

Only God knows what they're capable of doing

I will be hoping to see Mikel Agu make subsequent lists

He is listing players based on current form.. Why did he exclude Ighalo..

His mission is to make a case for Awoniyi to have made the list ahead of Ighalo...

Based on current form, Sadiq deserve the call up.. Blame all those who orchestrated Ighalo return to the team..

Yusuf is primarily a CM, but can play DM etc (Versatile, Kante-like) Nwobodo is a DM. Who else in this squad do we have to replace Ndidi. Who to replace Onyeka for example? Since you are saying Amoo and Etebo are the best back-ups at the moment.
