It's open season just take it like that.

Then when the team turns the corner you'll here stuff like ''it was because of criticism like mine that they go better'' ''I was only condemning the mediocrity then' ati be be lo.

In truth our team is composed of average players and when they play they even play below average. It is patriotic sentiment that makes them big in our eyes.

Qatar deserved their goal. They've been working hard.

Why do African teams take the ball backwards when they are deep in their opponent's end? It makes no sense

Regardless of the goal margin, Senegal will have to win next match regardless. Senegal vs Ecuadir will be a banger!

Senegal was leading and its wiser to keep possession than lose possession and concede from a counter attack... its also called recycling.

it also has to do with the player, for example, if a player's dominant foot is his right foot and his playing on the left wing he can't cross the ball easily, he will have to spin the ball to cross it or turn backwards to move the ball to his right foot and cross with his right foot or completely stop ball then cross...

Na their time. Let them clap and dance. There's a difference between criticizing your national team when they don't play well and outrightly rejoicing because of a down turn in the fortunes of the team.

The bad energy don too much... The funny thing is that the super eagles players themselves must have gotten over it.. Some of them have already been to the world cup before, so missing this one won't hurt too much... The younger guys like Osimhen, Chunks, Lookman, Bassey, Aina, etc still have age on their side.. Nothing spoil.. 2026 is coming..

Exactly enjoy the World Cup in peace without bringing unnecessary comparisons and put downs

If Ecuador keeps it at 1 nil then Senegal will have to defeat Ecuador to face England.
The Senegalese should have put Qatar away by at least 3 to 4 nil.

The Senegalese team lacks quality players from midfield to attack.
Senegal and Cameroon have the weakest African team at this tournament.

I have high hopes for Morrocco and Tunisia.

Ghana group is tough. The Ghanaians seem susceptible to counter and lack real quality on the bench. Korea and Uruguay will be a tough game for the Ghanaians.
The loss to Portugal will hurt the Ghanaians cos I don't see the Portuguese defeating any other team in that group.

True, but it’s better to be brave and lose than to play not to lose. Trust me, you’ll always lose anytime you go into a game trying to play not to lose. And I can give you a few examples:
Nigeria v Argentina 2010 World Cup
Nigeria v Croatia 2018 World Cup
And you can add Ghana v Portugal and Cameroon v Switzerland to the list.

It’s always better to go out and play your game. I am not saying don’t be organized and play with tactical discipline but you shouldn’t play with fear because that always leads to mistakes. You’re more likely to get away with that tactics in club football than in the national team.

Just look at how Ecuador is pushing the Netherlands in this game. That’s how you play the game.

O pari

Amedino99:
their bravery achieved two things. Made them attack more and also made them more open to attacks. Ghana do not recover fast after attacking which means there would be spaces left for bernado and co to run to. It's not a coincidence Portugal scored two goals came when Ghana went on the attack. If they played in that fashion from the start they would still have lost because while they will definitely create chances they are not that clinical compared to their opponents. It would have been a bigger goalfest

What about France vs Senegal (2002), Saudi vs Argentina (2022), Germany vs Japan (2022), Nigeria vs Centra African Republic and many more teams that defended and nick the win. Football doesn't have a particular format. What works for you might not work for others.
