Finidi George and Enyimba are Naija NPFL Champions

FT: Enyimba 1-1 Rivers Utd.

The final standings mean Enyimba and Remo Stars qualify for the CAF Champions League while Rivers Utd settle for the CAF Confederations Cup.

Hopefully Bendel Insurance win the Federation Cup final and get the second CAF Confederation Cup ticket. It would be a shame if they finish the season with nothing after going 26 games unbeaten in all competitions only to lose form when it mattered most.

Can't believe she's 43 years old. Anyway, congrats to Finidi George. How did his team play? Was it police ball system, kick and rush, tiki taka or Jongo bonito?

Bright Osayi-Samuel was on show for the final 15 minutes as Fenerbahce beat Istanbul Basaksehir in the Turkish Cup final, their first win in the competition since 2012/13.

they retired his jersey cos he did them a favor, he could have joined Dortmund for free but he extended his contract with them which meant that Dortmund would have to pay a transfer fee and Birmingham were really broke then. Retiring that jersey is just a way of appreciating his kind gesture
You're way off the mark man. Jezz! This boy signed his first professional football deal at 17 with Birmingham a club he's been with since he was 8yrs old. Players sign professional deals at 17.
How can you deceive your audience saying his shirt number was retired just because he signed a pro deal with his boyhood club?

For crying out loud, Jude Bellingham was a star boy of the city of Birmingham (the 3rd largest city in England after London and Manchester). He almost singled handedly saved them from relegation winning man of the match almost every week. As a gesture to inspire others kids from their academy they made a preemptive call to retire his number. His relative success with England and Dortmund in addition to his €110M Madrid deal means the club’s management were absolutely right to bank on him.

Uruguay U20 champions
No team that play the way Joe wanted came near this trophy. That says a lot about how this tournament went by far. 90mins adrenaline and the Italians couldn't catch any break or breathing space. Casadei turn Ghost. That Franco Gonzalez plays like messi ina way.

Congrats to Uruguay. U20 Champions.

That's the attitude one brings to any final.

Two Skyblue Teams with 24hrs btw them win 1st ever trophy. That's a lot!!

Italy teams in 4 finals in one year. They lost all.

I think it's a good year for them overall. That's the biggest coincidence for any one country in world of football.

But na Uruguay get tonight.

Prati should have been off since he did similar tackle against us in group stage. If na Israel catch this Italy ehn, match for finish by 1st half teytey.

Lots of positive to take away, esp individual players.

See fans. Nigeria need such positivity o

Which truth is that exactly?
People keep talking about CAF ojoro, but I'm still yet to see the ojoro... Maybe Okocha not winning the award is the only ojoro I can remember.
Over the years, the APOTY has gone to players with the best exploit at club level.. Morocco's world cup exploit was a collective effort and nobody can lay claim to be the best, so how will CAF now do it?

Congratulations to Enyimba! I hope they can strengthen their squad and not loss key players so they can perform better in continental football next season... This habit of losing key players to North African and obscure European teams due to poor players welfare is really affecting the league...

Props to Finidi... He sure proved me wrong..
CC: Thegoodjoe

Proud of Finidi Goerge's achievement and I hope this serves as a call for our other tacticians like Amunike, Siasia, Oliseh, Amokachi, Eguavoen and others to focus on giving back their knowledge to the younger ones.

Also hope the footballs authorities improved investments, incentives for the local leagues. And, I will like a percentage of transfer fees going to managers to motivate them to hunt for genuine brilliant talents than just winning titles and make money from their sales.

well a 6'3 defender who is very imposing on the goal and has a crack for header as he scored 8 goals in 36 apps, well he rejected rohr terribly at first for the 2018 world cup but changed his mind being he is 25 and Germany doesn't need him, would be an upgrade on our center back

Gift Emmanuel Orban: Belgium's Most Valuable Player on the Market Today

From 1Million euros Value in January 2023 to 20million euros Value in June 2023. Crazy leap.

According to Fresh Figures released by Transfermrkt, Gift Orban is now Valued at 20Million Euros and is Belgian Pro League's Number 1 player of Value going into the summer of 2023.

He has only been 4-5 months in Belgium and is already their most valuable player on the market. INSANE IMPACT AND RISE.

So if you hear Gent quoting 25million euros on the lad, don't scoff. He is worth it. You need to remember how much Jonathan David went for and he played for same Gent.

Note: Victor Boniface is valued at 12million euros according to Transfermrkt and is 7th most valuable in Belgium.

That Belgian Midfield Wonder, Arthur Vermeeren (18) who somehow displaced Midfield Sultan, Yusuf in Antwerp's Midfield is valued at 17 million euros. 2nd most valuable in Belgium.

MY THOUGHTS ON DIVINE NWACHUWU

The best way to integrate him is to arrange 2 or 3 friendliies and simply play him for 90 minutes
in midfield.
He should also be taken to the nations cup.
Unfortunately what will happen is that he will play for 10 minutes against siera leone and
then run away to Latvia and then nobody will call him up again
and the next talent in our local league will be called up hyped and head again to lithuania.
We need to integrate him into our midfield and see if he does well.
If he does well then iwobi has a complement or replacementt
if he doesnt then we can move on.
If we dont integrate these home based players then they are just filling up space
we are wasting our time and one hungry football agent wants to cash out
by selling our players to some obscure league.
Someone needs to convince him not to rush to all these obscure leagues in Europe
A good african league such as moroco or south africa will be good for him
or if europe Belgium, turkkey or greece.
He must be mentored and monitored before he goes and sits down in the Latvian league and
nobody hears of him again.
INTEGRATION IS THE KEY FOR LOCAL BASED PLAYERS
CALLIING THEM UP WITHOUT INTEGRATING THEM IS POINTLESS
