Samson Tijani has been having an okay game but it is his error that led to a goal for Rapid Wien vs his side, Wolfsberger AC.

74mins played. Tijani's side trail 2-1.

A very good one. I have watched some of his game! He is an all round attacker. Sleek and skillful. Good with the head too. He is headed for the top!

Akpom is too lazy and sluggish for my liking. Playing like that at 27 years is not good enough! The Ajax coach is clueless by playing him on the wings.

Arsenal has agreed personal terms with Osimhen for the next season transfer!

Osimhen needs a team like Arsenal who will give him so much passing volumes.
Napoli is not that team anymore!

AFCON is ours to lose! Onyeka, Iwobi, Onyedika, Aribo, Ndidi Nwakali, Alhassan and Nacho are good enough midfielders to win AFCON.
Ekong, Bassey, Ajayi, Omeruo, Tourouniga, Akpoguma, Igbo etc are good enough defenders to win AFCON.
Uzoho, Adeleye are fairly good goalkeepers to win AFCON.
Give me a country with better defenders and midfielders than ours on the continent?

This better happen as they are the only big team in England left to properly fill in that striker void. Nketiah and Gabby J are manageable options at best.
Personal terms agreed is a step forward if true... but the real barrier is the price with ADL.

Napoli became wack the moment ADL let Spaletti go and brought in an inferior replacement.

The extra blow was losing Kim Min Jae and failing to replace him.

Agreeing personal terms is different from agreeing a fee with the club. ADL is still a gangster.

So Chill, Elyte. ๐Ÿ˜‚

lol! You no serious Nerdyyy! You no say na Ogbu, I wan write!!
Of course, I knew Alhassan and Nwakali won't make AFCON due to volume in our attack and wing backs!
Nevertheless, we have the team to win AFCON bar any unfortunate incidence like the Tunisia and Ghana game (injuries and red card).

The midfield personnel are obviously available.. Selection seems to be the issue...

Me thinks Peseiro is somehow intimidated by our attacking options that he has decided not to care about the midfield...

Even Rohr and Austin Eq. Who won't? The attacking options are scary! Nevertheless, only team balance wins you game. E.g Brighton!

If our coaches are intimidated by our attack then they are not sound coaches to begin with. If u are good at something u make good decisions that lead to success even if people will complain.
I mean football is won by basically the tactics if the coach and not just players

Mujtahida:

It might sound ironic but I'm not overly happy that we have too many strikers. Even me that is not the coach I'm having headache already. And then I'd have heartache when inevitably some strikers don't make the list.

Our team lacks balance. Midfield combo not settled. Defence still wobbly. Gk wahala still dey.

If the coach allows our firepower in the attack to blind him to our lack in other important areas, we will be undone at this Afcon if a good opposition team adopts correct tactics to curtail our attackers and exploit our vulnerabilities.

At the last Afcon, we were flying high. All it took Tunisia was one shot from the center. And we came crashing down.

Maybe that is why we have the history of defense to striker long ball game.

Actually, I believe we have the right midfield qualities to sail a high grade Super Eagles team but it will take a coach willing to do the ground work.

It means not waiting for midfielders to break through in top clubs. It is not easy to sort through. The white kids got it locked. Even the likes of Foden and Grealish can hardly play that role for Manchester City. These are insanely talented guys.

Every top team have a wide range of midfielders that can shoe horn into the team. They must not be top quality to get picked ahead of Africans and Nigerians. Just look at McTominay.

So, we need to the work ourselves. Invite midfielders to camp, screen and train to our taste. If we are not ready to do it ourselves, we will keep lacking in midfield.
