Lol. Denmark ‘92 you say. So we should base our chances on an outlier event of about 31 years ago? Why don’t you mention Greece ‘04 too.

What you are literally saying is that it is not necessary to go to a tournament with the best of the best at all departments because it’s 50% luck and 50% preparation.

Even at that, the presence of Uzoho in the squad as our main goalkeeper has removed 35% out of our “50% preparation” leaving us with just 15%. And you and I know that luck is not a strategy. Heaven helps those who help themselves. We are not helping ourselves with Uzoho as our main goalkeeper.

If Argentina had Uzoho at the post, do you think they will be world champion today? Martinez’s last minute save against France is what made the difference for Argentina when the going got tough. We can’t even trust Uzoho or Maduka to sweep a cross not to talk of an outside shot or a one on one save.
You obviously don’t get my point. You are writing so much without actually saying anything. Preparation is 50%. Luck is 50%. Decisions can go against you on the pitch, unforeseen injuries, discord in the squad etc. That’s my point. The Uzoho you are wailing about today might not even be the issue at the tournament. If what you're saying is the fact, then we'd have underdogs winning major tournaments all the time, but it isn't so.
In the context of the AFCON, the last time we saw a team win it with like 50% luck was Zambia in 2012....
Preparation is everything...
As it is, the goalkeeping department is a major weakness in our team...

he should join spurs first before you conclude that Bissouma is better than him

Ndidi in the past hv done whatever Bissouma did at Brighton and is doing at Spurs currently so relax

I hate this mentality of advising our players not to move to certain clubs because of the fear of not having enough playing time. The thing dey boil me whenever I see such posts here. A player can only get better when he is playing with and against the very best

To be the best you hv to beat the best

For how many seasons have multiple clubs been trying to get Bissouma, with different bids, all clubs in the EPL. Bissouma leaves and Brighton get Caicedo and once again everybody wants him to the extent Brighton rejected several very high bids.

Did all these clubs they not see👀 Ndidi 🤔 or where they all blind 🧑🏿‍🦯

You've got to be realistic, Ndidi has been good defensively but he has a limited passing range and not much coming forward. He has been like that for several seasons. He is not going to change all of a sudden.

I believe that Ndidi is very good player but he simply not better than Bissouma, without prejudice.

I can see you are confused as well

Modified
Let me add, I praised an in form Sadiq Umar.
And he does not fit your description when he is in form. But that was TWO seasons ago in La Liga 2

.
elyte89:

Him…u knw who I am talking about,go back and watch sadiq matches in eagles jersey and notice what he’s known for…take it or leave it,sadiq is not a boring player, out of nowhere he creates something for himself even when d team is playing badly let alone of when d midfield is functioning well, though he ends up messing most of the chances, having such a player in ur squad will always confuse a coach.he’s a perfect example of anti-cavani(a striker who creates chances but hardly converts dem)….take it or leave it,forget federal character ,if he’s fit ,he’s going to afcon

Joebie:
Peseiro, why not wait until he picks up form first for club before national team invites. My goodness we have many CFs who are ALREADY IN FORM.

“It (Umar’s injury) is one of the most complicated things for a player,” Alguacil told Oma Akatugba.

“After such a serious injury and so much time out of competition, getting into the rhythm would be difficult.

“When we signed him, he was in a great moment after having a great season in the second division. Now he is in a Real Sociedad that is fighting in the Champions League and wants to continue fighting to be in the competition next year.

“He is important. I think Umar’s work has been good, and that is what will bring him closer to being able to compete at a higher level than what he demonstrated in Almeria and will be able to help us.”

Well I am saying what I observe in d national team set up, not club form . In a simple term, he puts himself in a more dangerous position to score but fails most most times …I am only letting u knw y some coaches might be always tempted to invite him over ,hoping he changes and coverts those chances ….I am not saying he’s better Dan odas

I no fit explain pass dis one if u no understand 😎

Give me orban ahead of the both. Sadiq is actually a decent striker when fit. It’s just that, he hasn’t fully regained match fitness and shouldn’t be on the team ahead of Akor/orban now
