the premier league is in another space entirely regarding money. I just checked and Rubiales is just 1k above the 10 lowest paid player in the epl. Even the highest paid in the primiera receives 110k. I'm sure the highest in the epl runs around 400k or just a little below. No wonder some of them wants the super league.
