The officiating today was wrong.. women are too emotional.
If at all a female must ref our match, that South African woman would have been the better choice. Don't ask me why abeg.

Nwablili is very vocal

It's probably because they are still knowing the kind of way he wants them to line up or guard him. At some point Uzoho was like that and later when the defender understood him he started shouting less often.

CIV must disband their team.

Then call all its players from the local league.

Sack their coach and give the job to an Ivorian

What else do peeps here clamor for when they are high on emotions? grin

Civ doesn’t need to disband anything

You make it sound as if this is yaya toure and Drogba and kalu era

Ivory Coast doesn’t have a forward that’s on fire 🔥 coming into this afcon so what do you expect.

A team where midfielder fofana register more shots than attackers there’s a problem

Change only the wingers and watch the team flow

It’s the new trend and we can’t do anything about it sadly once they test it here and some other smaller fifa competitions they’ll implement women ref fully into the main game

I watched the highlights of the friendly game we had with Argentina years ago where we won 4-2, I almost cried when I discovered some players in that game are in the current squad, it hurts mhen, the kind of goals especially the freekick chai, we have not improved at all. Shame

I still have goosebumps whenever I watch that match. No kidding.

At some point we had Iheanacho playing as the Center Forward and Iwobi playing as a Supporting Striker, just behind Iheanacho. That was all it took to destroy Argentina. Sweet flowing attacking football comprising of accurate passes and lethal shooting. I still remember how Iwobi disgraced Mascherano grin.

Rohr tried with that formation abeg. One of his biggest mistakes was his inability to repeat that Iheanacho-Iwobi partnership, as CF and SS respectively. That partnership had the potential to grow into something massive.

The stats of today’s match tell the entire story, we had lesser shots, completion of passes, even possession, our keeper made 5 saves, their keeper made none, what else?
Oh really now

Nigeria is the stat on the right. From sofascore

If our game plan is to keep possession, Raphael Onyedika will be our best bet. His positional awareness and availability to receive pass will be key.
The good thing is that he can play together with Onyeka or yusuf in any formation.
Nobody is talking about Omerou in defence, probably because other defenders are doing well but I think he deserves a start.

But one thing I want to know. What was that Aina's shot looking for above the goal post?? He was very close to the goal and couldn't bury that. How on earth did that ball curve above the post, whyy?!
That ball curved out, within that very close range.

He is
Kvara has been playing rubbish this season at Napoli
Our super eagles don’t float in balls properly
Chukwueze cannot cross with his right foot
Moses hardly does that with his left
Only Lookman doesn’t seem uncomfortable doing that
Start Chukwueze on the left or don’t bother put him on
Aina workload too much today, our boy overworked himself at the flanks
Plus he’s not a left footer which even makes it harder

With the way things are going already Cote D Ivoire might still make it to the next round
I'll have to look at the table but that will be quite bad.

They have just 3 points with -3 goal difference o.

Big lie, if Osimhen has ball control, hold up play, key passes then he won't be offside 1000 times.
You are the one with the big lie, but i will put the blame on ignorance. The offside calls might be usual when he is the last man to finish and is without the ball and then is off, while the qualities i highlighted were taken into consideration when he is with the ball and and is on and sometimes not the last man. The number of times Osimhen had the ball on him, he controlled it better, did not lose it even when under pressure held his own and was still able to get the ball to a team mate in good position.
