Osimhen header was also clear. He was not marked.

But his chance came AFTER lookman’s. In the order of operations, if Lookman scores the game is dead.

And what happened to Bright Osayi who puts in a yeomans job against South Africa? I hope Osayi starts today, Sanusi Zaidu has been piss poor throughout this tournament.

But I won’t be surprised if some people leans heavily on the coach to play Zaidu. Nigeria is a joke of a country.

O pari

Always looking for every opportunity to denigrate your country. undecided What has playing Zaidu got to do with belittling a whole country?

Which one? He had only 2 in that game and none were easy

What about if Osimhen scored after his miss? The point is Lookman chance was not the only one that night.

Terem utilized his chance while Osimhen didn't despite the same situation.

It was after he missed that chance I posted here Moffi should replace him and fortunately he was replaced by Moffi.

I watched our build up matches to the final and against Guinea Bissau Osimhen missed a very cleared chance which must not happen today....but am seeing him and Lookman doing the needful against CIV.

My key point is the timing of the chance. One was 10 mins from 90, the other was in ET.

Lookman buries that chance and we go home at 90mins vs playing the full 120.

Look at it this way, had SA snatched victory at the dying end when they blazed over the bar, we’d be looking back to Lookman’s missed chance. Osimhen’s header would never have even occurred since it was in ET

Timing is very important in a match.

Was the header after regulation time?

Yes, because a bit after he missed the chance Moffi was subbed in for him.

That game was there to be won in 90 mins without the need for ET

Yes o, today is the day to wear scoring boots.

I also hope Chukwueze will take shots today. Let the CIV backline be confused on who to man-mark

If we win today the first person to be commended should be that NFF official that decided that our slogan this afcon will be let's do it again. It was a brave declaration considering our pre afcon form.

And no one was looking @ the height he jumped to even meet the ball.
Anyways. It ended 2:1 today. Goals from unlikely sources.

No. He was subbbed after the defender catchup with him and kick the ball away. The same scenario Moffi utilized if not for the foul.

Whatever happens today, I have to say, I'm very proud of the boys. Many of us, me included never expected them to make it that far, given their form before the start of the tournament, but they have proven us wrong. They have done incredibly well.
It won't be an easy match, but the never say die attitude of Nigerians will prevail!!

so essentially you are saying Iwobi's work rate would be better than nacho in that position.?I don't want to believe that
Iwobi has played in a defensive set up several times in his career, so yes, his work rate is way better than Iheanacho's. Nacho is the guy you depend on for creativity and technicality not work rate..

Same here. I'm content that we have proved to ourselves and the world we are still a formidable football nation. Today's result is probably more important to people for the glory and joy which is understandable for others it's the bants and trolling.
