South Africa withdrew from the tournament at the last minute not sure of their reason.

They withdrew because of the pitch, they said it is substandard.

OwnGoal reports that Michael Folorunsho attempted playing for Nigeria before AFCON 2023. His representative called Jpes and introduced himself but Jpes refused to call back later and hear him out. That's how we lost Folorunsho. Jpes don do us strong thing ooo

Coach Finidi George will not play Jpes style tomorrow against Ghana. He will revert to our 433 formation.

SCORENigeria has gathered from several top officials that the NFF are now open to hire a coach who they will pay $80,000 every month.

Jose Peseiro was on $50,000 monthly when his contract ran out after the recent AFCON.

It was a reduced package after his initial contract paid him $70,000 a month.

It is widely believed that the Portuguese coach did not continue on the post because he demanded for a new monthly pay of $120,000 with his employers’ best offer stopping at $80,000.

It is that figure the NFF will be ready to pay the next coach of the country’s team.

SCORENigeria first reported that as many as 40 foreign coaches have applied for the Super Eagles job.

It is understood that the NFF will decide on a new Super Eagles coach by the end of this month.

This will allow the new man enough time to prepare for crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin in June.

A number of players have been outstanding for Luton and had a resurgence in their careers.

Parly because the expectations on " poor" Luton where very low. They did not not 🚫 spend any money by Premier League standards. And did not have any big stars. But they have been outstanding this season against all odds.

And on a good day can beat anybody.

Ross Barkley the forgotten prodigy of Everton and Chelsea has been exceptional. Osho has surprised many and is the rock 🪨 in that defence. Adebayo would have been further up the scoring charts if not 🚫 for unfortunate injury. Hopefully he will get back 🔜.

The more reason they should have been replaced. Friendlies provides the best platform to tryout players that we potentially thinks deserves a chance to be in the team.

Never really heard of this tournament.

Checking ✔️ the teams that played and there seems to be a Nigerian team called Ojudu City .

This is a U18 tournament it seems with local grass roots academy teams from across the world. It seems to be a very prominent tournament for unsigned players.

I've been to several youth tournaments with big clubs but spaces for grass roots teams or non professional teams.
