Mikel is above brahimi and co in terms of NAME, dont go there o, maybe because say baba don old thats why that mumu no see him name call

If you are calling brahimi and feghouli then you should be calling onyekuru because he plays for gala and he is a regular there

Brahimi and Feghouli are not in Onyekuru's level. Let us tell ourselves the truth.

La Liga African players of the season and BBC player of the year are no joke awards.

Super Eagles Training – Rohr Ponders Dropping Chukwueze For Kalu, Iwobi For Mikel & Musa For Simon

Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal that during the last training session of the Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of their game against Algeria later today coach Gernot Rohr experimented with some ideas.

The coach tinkered with his selection for the last game which was the win over South Africa by altering the lineup during the session but with same formation like the one used in the last game.

Samuel Kalu was played as the right winger of the team with Samuel Chukwueze dropping to the B team while on the other flanks Moses Simon took the spot of Ahmed Musa.

In midfield, the coach also played John Obi Mikel in place of Alex Iwobi as he was lined up alongside the duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Oghenekaro Etebo for the team that has most of the regulars.

Owngoalnigeria.com also noticed that Ola Aina played as a right back for the B team with Jamilu Collins now fully recovered and back in training holding onto his spot as left full back of the team.

I hope this news is fake

Gernot should better respect him self o
rohr can't try such..

The only big name player in algeria remain mahrez, mikel should have been called but he his no more playing at the level of before, so many europeans football fans know mikel, and also so many european fans knows iwobi, that guy cant tell me he doesnt know iwobi, he can only say iwobi is not world class, an arsenal regular player cant be unknown

even for senegal team ask an european they will only call mane not everyone knows koullibally

for morocco they will only call benatia because he played for juventus ,bayern

Tunisia is NONE

Ivory coast maybe zaha, but is zaha popular than iwobi? if zaha is known then iwobi is also known

If we are to go by the words of boutabout then african only have very few big names which are not more than 8

Let me end here for now

Mahrez is not the only big name player in the Algerian team.

I hope we don't just underrate the Algerian players and think it's going to be a work over.

i don't expect Rohr to line up a different team entirely outside this .

we need wingers who can attack them and do proper dribble , cos the have weak wingbacks ... that is one of their weakness ... Saha was able to unveil that

I am just comparing base on the club they both play for, hope you get me?

Oyo is your case.....

Maybe you think I'm hyping up Algeria or whatever. But as I have said repeatedly, oga boutabout said Nigeria doesn't have big name players. Im saying he probably assumes this because he doesn't know nigerian players as he thinks

I went further to say that what boutabout is doing is how most casuals look at a match and judge immediately once they see players they can recognise in one team....that such a team will beat the other with lesser known or unknown players. I also said that even his team is not that great but because he knows players in his team and he doesn't know those in ours, he is sure Algeria will win....I was looking at his mindset in how he arrived at this assumption

If you left this and started focusing on the 'epistle', it means you have time....and you should have gleaned from what I'm saying that boutabout is only being ignorant of the full picture

this is not good for us , they should also be discrete and be able to manage info... i think their is so much competition among the media guys ...just want to dish out info to make the trend undecided

were they not part of the team that collected 3 in Uyo? undecided

Meanwhile, Algeria has flown in hundreds of supporters into Egypt for this game. Any team that does this, more often than not, loses the game.

if you think there was nothing wrong with this statement, you need to read again.

What did he mean by "try to win in another way"? Was he implying that by virtue of being Nigerian, she was trying to influence a Nigerian win by instigating refree bias pre-match?

He's an idiot, if it were me, I would have given it back to him and told him he should save that advice for his players in the dressing room.

North Africans are the most cunning when it comes to football, they hardly ever play fair, so, he isn't one to make such statement.

I hope Gassama keeps a keen eye on those frauds.

It's mind games here.. He knew she was trying to get him, so he needed to hit back at her and what she was doing to his mind, hence he used that sentence
