Quick counter attack by Senegal ends with Ndoye forcing a smart save from Akpeyi. Save he should make really.

Thank you my brother. They talk as if it is not the same Aluko that once played for Hull City that go relegated. Upon the relegation the club still released him.
You can not blame Aluko for the management of Hull City sticking with an analog Steve Bruce who needed mechanics to play for him than artists. That is like criticising Kevin De Bruyne for Mourinho deciding to drop him from the Chelsea team.

Ndidi very unhappy with Ndoye. Accuses him of elbow. Ndidi and Ogu look good together.

Iwobi has been quiet. Game way too physical for him.

I pointed out a long time ago that Onazi is not made for a possession based team, I am not happy that he is injured but the difference in our play with and without Onazi ought to have enlightened his die hard fans right about now

joao

One Senegalese tried to bully Omeruo, but got the kick of his life. FK to Senegal, and deflected by Akpeyi.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Dedebanky85: 9:57pm On Mar 23, 2017
All right folks, the part of the game I watched, Naija had the upper hand. We moved the ball pretty sleek. But I could see the Senegalese are way to difficult. I'm just relying on the gals FB account for the commentary as she pretty much knows some of the players. But it seems as if whoever wore number 6 ain't playing well based on her concurring comments.
Good thing I'm watching the game, but bad thing is no replay. At all at all naim bad pass.

halftime . best player? either Ogu or Ndidi, contrary to what some of us were saying, we have not been overrun in midfield. in fact we are not missing Mikel, we missed Mikel when Onazi was still playing though

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by tbaba1234: 10:00pm On Mar 23, 2017
Senegal comin back gradually into it. 4 mins of injury time.

Iheanacho misses again. Iwobi and Simon release the City striker 4 yards out. Didn't even hit the target.

Half time whistle goes. 0-0. Game started with the Senegalese on top but the enforced introduction of Ogu got Nigeria back in it.

On the balance of chances Nigeria should be leading. Nigerians we have a GEM in Wilfred Ndidi. We have gotten a new Sunday Oliseh.

They can play together which means Iwobi will move back to the left.

I did not see you write a word when the report came out saying Iheanacho was one of the most fit in camp and most lethal. You just wait for him to miss chances and start writing.

Aguero missed loads in our last few games. Will you say Aguero is not match fit? It happens. Even Tevez and Ronaldo De Lima miss chances. Heck even Messi and CR7 miss close range chances.

the point is that he was scoring in training and missing easy chances in the real game. that is one of the effects of lack of game time. it is called lack of confidence

from the updates, Kelechi missed just one chance

We should ask why Senegal has missed theirs as well considering their players are the ones playing regular football

It is called missing, not confidence. Explain Aguero’s repeated Misses against Liverpool. Is that lack of confidence or game time?

Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Kanu Nwankwo missed close range chances, was that lack of confidence?
