Koulibaly to Liverpool is even more reliable than Traore's grin. .
We have been linked to a lot of players this season, but none looks likely to materialise...

There are talks going on that FSG aren't willing to spend this transfer market because of coronavirus...

But it's still possible we get funds from the sale of players like Lovren, Shaqiri,Lallana, Clyne and some on loan players like Awoniyi, Grujic, Wilson,etc..

But until then, nothing is certain..

But you are right, we really need to strengthen our squad ahead of next season...

If u ask me, I won't mind us signing Aina or Aina kind of player grin ... A versatile player that can play on both side of the flanks well to deputize for TAA and Robertson...

I know Klopp really likes Traore but considering the high fee and where he can fit into the Liverpool philosophy. I do think Klopp could turn him into a much better player.

It will depend if Mane stays if he doesn't then expect Traore.

Lol... A quality deputy for Robertson and TAA should really be in the convo too. You're right. Anyway, it all comes down to your board and their decisions in this period of Covid. Surely, you guys have to sell if you must bring in a player or two.

I understand your co-owner, the CEO of Fenway Sports Group (FSG) encourages the use of a mathematical model by Liverpool's recruitment team to determine which players to buy with respect to specific goals. I understand this is part of what they used to bring in Klopp too.

I just hope you guys can strengthen even if in one area at the very least. The Champions are who everyone else will be gunning for in the new season. wink

Beautiful displays all round. Whoscored has him at 7.5.
His passing accuracy was the highest among his teammates for those who started. 94.5% passing accuracy in 89mins of play. That's really something. His involvement in team plays as against going it alone oftentimes shows his growth and maturity into a team player. His chances creation and key passes per game keep going up. Lad was very good today. Fantastic showing.

The only academy defensive player that seems potential Liverpool quality is that teenager from Dutch football. He has a lot of growing up to do.

Liverpool academy is good but Man city, Arsenal and Chelsea are much better.

Very laughable

Very laughable

Not sure that of Chelsea is laughable. Do you know how many times their youth teams have won the youth FA cup? Chelsea's performance this season is also a testament to how good their academy is.

You are quite right @ the bolded..
That's one of the reasons I've often said that Klopp doesn't sign players anyhow.. they have to be able to fit into the team first..

Well,we will see in the coming days sha..

I was not talking about academies initially but about how the youth players progress into the senior team and become mainstays

Chukwueze's stats against Valencia

No goal or assist again and just 4 goals with 5 assists in 34 appearances for Villareal

This guy is performing way below his potentials yet some people are busy calling out Ighalo that has better stats..

Under Klopp, this guy would blossom ...I just know it. He has it in him but needs the right coach and environment

That stats is for one game na, not the entire season. Chukwueze did have a good game today not only in attack. I don't want to use too much words, but he was impressive. The stats is indicative but if you watched the game you would agree with me. It's not like he was turning the opponents defense around all game long but he had impactful moments and was always a threat going forward. He came very close to scoring as well. He had the best pass success rate for ANY player who started.

Chukwueze shoots less frequently this season than last season and also his movement into the 18 yard box is less than last season, he is becoming more of a team player and he's playing to his coach's instruction, left for Chukwueze he would take on more players and shoot more frequently than he does this season. Don't worry the goals would come.

It's just rumours..

Liverpool may most likely end up not signing anybody...

I don't see why we should bid for him.. he is a good player, but in Gomez we have a very reliable partner for Van Djik..
Yep plus Liverpool mostly don't go for players with no resale value.
Koulibaly is 29...i don't see Liverpool spending over 60m on him.
