Because even though tecno is a Chinese company, they sell their phones only in Africa (not even whole of Africa but primarily west Africa and Nigeria is where they sell most of their phones). They stopped selling phones in Asia since 2008 to focus on Africa. To Nigeria they are a great company, but to the rest of the world they are absolutely nothing.

Have u ever seen any of the folks at technobuffalo, pocketnow, phonedog, the verge etc review any tecno phone? Have u ever seen tecno make appearance on mobile world congress or CES or have u seen any tecno stand at a world class event. Has tecno ever had a world class phone launch that is attended by world renown tech people to make them popular?

Tecno are doing well in Nigeria and some parts of Africa but that is where it ends. They need to do more to get recognized, and u know u can't just sell substandard phone in the US or Europe, phone needs to pass through FCC to make sure all specs are real and not false. Here in Nigeria nothing like FCC, u can get away with anything. U can fit a 2,000mah battery in ur phone and call it 4,000mah, nobody will prosecute u.

The reason Tecno android smartphones are not listed/featured on GSMArena is not because they're an inferior brand or any of those trivial reasons like they're a low quality and/or small company or even Chinese, after all GSMArena features phones from companies which Tecno is better than.

The only thing is Tecno is not a 'Global Brand'. They're only focused on a region and mostly targeted at low-end to mid-range users.

some of you yelling 'Chinko' don't even use a recognised high-end android smartphones, most are dead blackberry users.

What if they're not on GsmArena, afterall they've won several awards that some brands on the so called arena cant get nominated for.

its just abt their market. They focus on Africa. If I give u a Wiko phone and a Tecno, which will u go for? For me, I take a tecno but wiko is listed on gsm arena.

Being on GSM arena is not a stamp on quality. There are loads of crappy phones on that website so i don't get what the fuss is about.

I think it's pretty clear why they are not featured on GSMarena. They aren't a global brand yet and that's not a bad thing. Their target market is Africa. It's pointless having a Stand at MWC when Europe ,America and china isn't part of your target market. Why would techradar or pocketnow review a phone that majority of their followers can't get hold of. There are websites and bloggers in Africa that covers Tecno phones so it's not like information is scarce.

White supremacy mentality every where you look. So because a brand isnt​ on GSM Arena or pocketnow or Techradar, or verge we now have to question their reputation?

They get coverage on misstechy, geek.ng, techpoint, techloy, bestmobs and co, they don't have to be covered by whitey bloggers before we can take them seriously.

You might say reason is that they aren't a global brand, that's why. Fine, for me I don't think being on GSMarena is a standard for measuring quality, afterall, Wiko, a very very low end and inferior phone like Donpata said is there. So I don't get what the headache about GSM arena is about
