1. I just got my IELTS result- L8R8S8W7.5. Will this give me 20 points? If no, would you advice I request for a remark of the writing test?

2. I have 10 yrs banking experience 7.4 yrs of which is in my nominated occupation (marketing specialist) under csol list. However, I have a BSc Political Science (2005) . my MBA (marketing) result is not yet completed and may not get d transcript now but I can get a "to whom it may concern" statement indicating I have completed the degree. Pls do I stand any chance of getting a positive assessment cos am about to apply to Vetassess?

Your IELTS is 10points
U need at least 8 in all, u can request for a remark. Or go for PTE-A

You can definitely get a positive assessment but IOM opinion that MBA result fit cause delay but I will allow the gurus clarify further on that

I can't remember what the options are but I know for certain we didn't choose migration or educational reasons.

What is the likely outcome of someone with 65 points and occupation is mechanical engineering.
There is this assumption that mechanical engineering would be removed from sol list next year that is July 1 I guess and if this is true what is the hope of those who have applied for expression of interest? Thank you

Yes we chose Yoruba as most spoken.then others as reason for test.
Under specify we wrote,for job related reasons(promotion).

Sir, using B.Sc only is safer, as your years of experience will be longer.

Based on your painted scenario, You will probably get a +ve assessment

but

Why worry so much about +ve assessment, when you've not even apply for assessment.

IOM, Just apply and hope for the best, Negative vibes is not good oo, stay +ve

Sure. Download the MSA booklet form Engineers Australia website to know the minimum requirement- amongst other info.

The occupation ceiling is almost full, with less than 200 slots left; if you can increase your overall points, do. Maybe rewrite english test and get 20 points (that's if you don't have that already), it will increase your chances of getting an invite on time. Mechanical engineers is now on pro-rata, so you need 70 points to get an invite.

Enter your Test Report Form Number (TRFN) in the English Language competency result reference section.
You'll find your TRFN at the bottom left of your official Score Report or Result from IELTS.
Your TRFN is NOT your candidate number but comprises it.

In my opinion, you should apply for REMARK since all you need is 0.5. There are many who have achieved their target scores after remark.
However, you MUST be convinced that you performed well in your writing during the test.
The remark is NOT meant to give out free or extra marks, but for quality control where there has been an oversight from the marker.

A concern, as earlier raised here, maybe the waiting period of about 8 weeks. But I'm not sure I've read anywhere that you can't resit the test if you apply for remark. Your IELTS skills look good, so I won't be quick to advise you on an alternate testing system.
