This lame attempt @ image laundering by the fulani's has failed because Nigerians have seen them for what they are.

The cattle owners are rich mallams and alhaji's. If they need grazing land, then they should buy that land.

Moreover ranches should be created for them in the north there. Government should find a way to plant grasses for them and establish an irrigation scheme for them there so they can stop wandering around with cattle thereby constituting a menace and nuisance to the society @ large

Well Oyo state has rejected you already. Ogun state is industralised and soon the grazing lands will be used to build companies. I suggest Fulanis move to the South East. Plenty grazing land there.

Secretary of Cattle Herdsmen is on Channels TV explaining the mayhem they are unleashing on innocent communities.

In case you don't have light in your area or no fuel in your generator, find below summary of what the man is saying:

- Says herdsmen are peace loving
- Says anywhere they go they always touch base with the head of hausa community before they now meet the traditional institution in the area
- Says it the communities who usually provoke the fulani herdsmen by demanding money before they graze, and if they refuse to pay, they shoot 1 or 2 cattle.
- Says herdsmen that carry AK-47 are cattle rustlers
- Says Buhari has greatly helped them to limit cattle rustling, and that Buhari has helped them to recover a lot of cattle rustled since he assumed office
- Says the proposed Grazing Bill by the National Assembly to establish grazing land and routes in every state is good for them

Well, he's basically saying those are conquered territory from Dan Fodio time. Not only Kwara/Ilorin.

I guess the goal now is to extend that to SE, Ondo and beyond. cheesy

To give you free land for grazing just like you gave free shops for Igbos and other tribes to do business in your Fulani land.

I don't blame you.

this will create job for people. If they own a private ranch. People can cut grasses and sell to them. Cattle rearing is not met for only fulani.

You forgot to add that:

---Fulani herdsmen are being kidnapped
---they (fulani herdsmen) are being labelled culprits when they are victims
---they cannot afford land for ranches/grazing which is why the government is called to help

IMHO....I still don't understand why we should give you land for grazing...the land use act doesn't allow that. You can't force me to give up my land for the herdsmen. When did cattle rearing become national interest?? Abi is the cattle a "public amenities" that should require an Act of Parliament. Please when did meat become soo important to us that we should die for it.
To the best of my knowledge, Not every household in Nigeria eats meat, but every household in Nigeria eats rice, how many land have they given free of charge to rice farmers And they want to forcefully create land for grazing, when other countries are building private ranches.

Lets get our priorities straight abeg. Only in Nigeria that selfish interest would override national interest.

May Godbless your struggle . You said it all. First and foresmost, one should value those cattles you will be suprised that they worth millions on naira. So are they now saying the owners cannot afford to buy one hectare in a very remote southern Nigerian suburb to graze his cattles? I smell a rat and if the odour is not quickly diffused it will explode into a mighty conflagration that will mess us up as a.people. Spread the news " cattle lives not more worth than human lives"

And now that we know that any arms bearing herdsman is criminal, all communities should do the needful, whenever, wherever they sight them!

Someone should let me know how cows are more important than farm products. Boko harram do not allow people people to farm. The result now is famine in the land. Come to talk of it, how comes fulanis are having arms more than the Police.

An alternative way to keep these herdsmen away from your region is to develop. It. Build modern infrastructures that there would not be space for them to even step a foot on.

I'm not from the South-East but a statement like this shouldn't come from someone who has a phone and can type words...
It's good we think through before speaking.
United we stand...divided, I'm sorry Oyo and Ogun will be a grazing land.
Lets push out these heartless fellows with a united heart.

This man is lucky we are peace loving in the South west. In some other regions, they might just way-lay him after the interview and take him out.
