Badbelle it's not because he will be leaving in a few months but because three years ago the minimum wage was not due for review. And he is not owing salaries so just stop crying more than the bereaved

OK!

Since you are the bereaved hea, and u are now more Edolite than my self, was Oshiomole not in office 5yrs ago when the minimum wage was reviewed?

Didn't he shout to high heavens that he can't pay?
Even at that #16k how many civil servants in Edo receives salary as at when due?

He's leaving office now, instead to promise and ensure prompt payment and whilst NLC is still in dialogue with FG over minimum wage,he gone ahead and increase it when he has few months to go after 8yrs in office!

Earlier in their respective speeches, the Chairman of NLC, Comrade Emma Ademokun and his TUC counterpart, Comrade Ohue Marshal, had expressed concern over a number of problems affecting Nigerians.

Some of them are the persistent scarcity of petroleum product, epileptic power supply and illegal electricity tariff increase.

They also mentioned spiralling increase in cost of living, insecurity, kidnapping, rampaging herdsmen, Boko Haram, irregular payment of salaries resulting in accumulation of arrears, growing rate of unemployment with the attendant social vices‎.

The Workers’ Day rally was however marred with low turn out of workers.

The new wage minimum wage comes at a time no fewer than 27 states in Nigeria are finding it difficult to pay workers.

OK, so he sud have left it at 18000 thousand naira na, since 25000 is poor. other state sud increase their own to 25k first, then will can move forward from there.

Deception of the highest order. A state that could not pay her dues some times ago has suddenly increased the minimu wage. It's either oshiomole is trying hard to improve the debt profile of the state or he is simply doing this simple because of the election coming in Edo state. It's a pity deception at its pick again.

Pls, this is evil. Why didn't he increase it during his 8 year rule? Because he is about to hand over to the next government he increased it just to cause problems for the incoming Governor.

This is political wickedness! He hasn't sat down to map out how IGR will increase to cushion the effect of the small state allocation.

If the incoming Governor comes in and reverses the minimum wage, he will be termed 'wicked' and OshoBaba 'Saint'

We know all these things, forget!
