As a matter of fact, a graduate who enters the system via short course is senior to a fresh NDA graduate.
The huge advantage of NDA graduates is that they enter the system at a very young age and attain the highest rank possible before retirement. Therefore, majority of the senior most officers are NDA graduates.

Promotion for NDA graduates are more rapid and cannot be compared to Short service entrants....Short service entrants are just like specialist in d police........

If you join the Air Force an OND you will be given the rank of Corporal , I don't know of the Navy, but it is the same with the Army

It doesn't matter if you applied with BSc/HND, you become a private soldier after recruitment.
What you need as a BSc/HND is the SSC or DSSC application. you can google that

You will assume the rank of Ordinary Seaman if you join with OND. However, the only advantage you will have is advance promotion. I.e you will be promoted to the rank of Seaman after four years in service with some years seniority on that seaman rank.
Furthering your education while in the military is possible but not easy and automatic. You will have to apply and then proceed if your application is granted. Else the certificate won't be recognised if your application isn't granted but you go on to further your education codedly.
