1.Lack of Ambition: 50% of students enter the university without a goal or ambition. some see it as opportunity to be free from parental control, so they behave like a dog released from the cage for the first time. They roam the girls hostels, they hangout with friends to drink and gist about women, they attend all the parties in school.Carried away by social activities in school, they miss classes and copy all assignments. Three months a semester seem like three years, until is a week to exam. If you enter university with the dream of a first class and u work towards it, the least you end up with is 2.1

2.Cultism: Some students already nurse the ambition of becoming a cultist even before gaining admission into the university. when they gain admission into the university, they quickly align themselves with cultist friends , relatives and neighbors like Jackie Chan learning from his master. when they eventually become cultist, they become so committed like a new Christian convert. they hardly attend classes, they are carried away by the short live pleasure- intimation, womanizing, robbing etc. before they realize, their best grade is C and ocean of carryovers. From 200level, they already know they will spill over.

3. Prostitution (Aristoism): This is common among females students. they are easily intimated by their fellow female hostel mates or classmates. They see her with the latest electronic gadgets (phones- i- phones, pad, laptops,), expensive weavons, clothes and jewelries. it starts with envy, later discovery of her source of income and aligning. they leave school to PH, Lagos, Abuja and nearby happening towns to prostitute, so as to belong to the big babes class. They are engrossed in social media networks like a yahoo boy to dating site or gambler to Nairabet. They have little or no time to study. They believe they can buy their way through with their body Unfortunately most graduate with very poor grades.

4. Internet Scam: Common with male students , they are called G boys or yahoo boys. they invest their time on internet scam. Day and night they are looking for Manga. They believe they would make money and buy their way out of school. Some are lucky but many are unlucky.

5. Gambling: some students spend their time on Nairabet, merry bet etc. Their weekend are always occupied, sometimes Tuesdays and Wednesdays also. They research betting prediction sites and odds like a scientist researching on the cure for HIV. They are always broke and lose focus of the main reason they are in the university. They eventually come out of school with very bad grades.

6. Late Reading: Many students start reading when they see the examination timetable. They have no time to cover all the topics. Some result to cramming, bad idea. Other result to examination malpractice because the coursework become cumbersome and difficult to understand within that short period.

7. Making Friends with rich unserious students: They are always drinking, clubbing and womanising. The rich student has father’s investment to inherit. Final year, their parents with give them huge sum of money to bribe their way out of school leaving you high and dry. If their grades are poor, their rich parents send them abroad for masters or fix them up. The rich kid is not bothered about his grade but you the friend should be bothered about yours.
