Mehn, I dey feel for the guys that lost their devices.
Last year wasn't a good year for me (phone wise). I lost my first phone around April... One Galaxy tab 3.
That one pain me sha but it was on me. Because our store is in front a main road and I slept off with earbuds on playing music and when I woke up I only saw the earbuds on the floor.
After a few weeks I got a replacement Galaxy s6, so then I thought that if it was in my pocket at all times that it's safe... That one got lost via pick pocketing....(I don't want to go into details, it is embarrassing the way he managed to get close to me and lift it without me noticing).
So after the two events which took place under a space of 2-3 months. I don't sleep in the store anymore, when I do I put my phone in my pocket and hold it tight, but that kind sleep Sha, fly go pass and you go open eyes... But whenever I feel like sleeping, I walk it off, to be on the safe side...
And then when walking into a crowd I usually frown and change step if you see me so you go shift one side.
Whenever I'm going to the market, I become a new man, this Lagos is like the land of smart thieves. So I try to be as alert as possible.
Whenever you have something valuable in your bag or pocket, don't let any stranger come too close to you, whether they look calm or not, don't... I repeat DON'T!! Always make sure there's space a little space.
Some people suggest holding your phone in your hand when walking through a crowd or rowdy area... That one works too.

NicestDude what you said is a must in lagos, like when I'm going to places like iyana ipaja, oshodi I'm always been careful. I make sure I bring out my wallet from back pocket to the front one and hold it tight.
