Flashing any MIUI ROM, whether fastboot or recovery ROM overwrites custom recovery.

That is why you have to enable OTA option in redwolf recovery so that it doesn't overwrite the custom recovery

Except things have changed on newer models or I never took notice, through my soujourn of flashing different types of rom with my Custom recovery(including stock recovery rom), it has never overwritten my custom recovery.
Na Fastboot rom dey overwrite everything from my experience. I might put it to test and check sha.

I guess I never paid attention to it then. Cos I have always felt only Fastboot rom could cause the overwriting.
E better as I know now, before Man think say phone don dey pack up after a nice boot of flashing

Probably your last Update just got optimised. Like I say sometimes it takes a while for updates to stabilise. So it is all about patience and understanding

You probably have only Band 20 in you area which your RN7 Pro doesn't have.
