Here is a chapter from another story book: HARRY POTTER

October arrived, spreading a damp chill over the grounds and into the castle. Madam Pomfrey, the nurse, was kept busy by a sudden spate of colds among the staff and students. Her Pepperup potion worked instantly, though it left the drinker smoking at the ears for several hours afterward. Ginny Weasley, who had been looking pale, was bullied into taking some by Percy. The steam pouring from under her vivid hair gave the impression that her whole head was on fire.
Raindrops the size of bullets thundered on the castle windows for days on end; the lake rose, the flower beds turned into muddy streams, and Hagrid's pumpkins swelled to the size of garden sheds. Oliver Wood's enthusiasm for regular training sessions, however, was not dampened, which was why Harry was to be found, late one stormy Saturday afternoon a few days before Halloween, returning to Gryffindor Tower, drenched to the skin and splattered with mud.

Even aside from the rain and wind it hadn't been a happy practice session. Fred and George, who had been spying on the Slytherin team, had seen for themselves the speed of those new Nimbus Two Thousand and Ones. They reported that the Slytherin team was no more than seven greenish blurs, shooting through the air like missiles.

As Harry squelched along the deserted corridor he came across somebody who looked just as preoccupied as he was. Nearly Headless Nick, the ghost of Gryffindor Tower, was staring morosely out of a window, muttering under his breath, ". . . don't fulfill their requirements . . . half an inch, if that . . ."

"Hello, Nick," said Harry.

"Hello, hello," said Nearly Headless Nick, starting and looking round. He wore a dashing, plumed hat on his long curly hair, and a tunic with a ruff, which concealed the fact that his neck was almost completely severed. He was pale as smoke, and Harry could see right through him to the dark sky and torrential rain outside.

@Idirente,

It is so easy to spot those of you who just copy and paste information from a prejudicial source whose ignorance are spread by biased zealots like you.  I would wish you'd do a thorough study of the Bible by yourself starting with the New Testament, before you bring forth your strong reasons for maintaining this stand.

Now to your post.  I only need to look at your first two accusations to throw out the rest of your post for outright lack of scholarship and credibility.  I believe the first point has been dealt with on another thread so I wouldn't bother myself here.

197. Therefore Michal, the daughter of Saul, had no child unto the day of her death. II Samuel 6:23 The five sons of Michal, the daughter of Saul.------II Samuel 21:8

I will write out the passages in full here for all to see your folly:
2 Samuel 6:23 - Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death

2 Samuel 21:8 But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:
I am sure all can see the difference in these passages which you have tried to twist for your dubious purposes.  You conveniently left out the fact that Michal brought up those children and not bare them as you implied.

Why the lies? Do you have any credibility at all?  Or do you think adopting or bringing up a child outrightly makes you the biolocal parent? Along with some people I have come across on this forum, I hereby move to have you listed as a fraud on nairaland.  Can someone please second this motion!!!!!!!!!!

@ Reverend,

At first, i actually thought of giving you the needed response to your contradictions, but after going through various threads and even various replies to this post of yours, i apprehended the fact that it was pointless addressing your obdurate state of mind and the dull-witted incomprehensible condition of your intellectual cloud chamber noted for your bleating, ranting, and growling across various threads towards the things of God.  angry angry

I am most mindful of your strong allegiance towards carrying around on different threads here the work of your master (lucifer) that he has divulged into your hands, at least you need a general overseer for your kinky cult. cool

Even the devil himself has a name he trembles at, at the mention of it he gets on squirmy and that is JESUS, just that as to your case, yours happens to be bari_kade and the likes of him, who has whipped your sulking ass at various threads showing and revealing your whimsical/capricious behavior that your spent up sorry ass childhood years has invested-endowed into you.

To harangue you for the delusion you have entangled yourself into, is just merely a drain of composition of words for your circumstance.

So i will leave you with this, get a job, get a life and stop hiding under the cover of that kinky cult of yours! It is a squalid/rotten idea from the pit of hell that the devil is using to buy more of your time!

@mazaje,

there was no where it was written she adopted them all that was said was that she brought them up, it wasnt said the adopted children who were brought up but the 5 children who were brought up, its confussing any way because it wasnt really stated clearly enough.

There is nothing confusing at all about the passages.  One declares that she never had any child of her own while the other declares that the 5 children she had were brought up FOR someone else.  This will only be confusing to those who either don't understand english or who are just biased beyond reason.  Take your pick.  Even the one who copied and pasted this accusation has tacitly admitted he was being fraudulent with his presentation of those passages.

@Idirente,
how about Abraham and his only begotten son Isaac is that not rebuttable with Ishmael

I don't think I need to provide any answers for you until you tell us your motive and source of information on this thread.  You have deliberately tried to manipulate information and to mislead people just to hold on to a losing position.  Please admit you were being fraudulent in presenting your supposed facts, or just tell us where you copied and pasted from so that we can go correct those fradulent people.  When you do that, then I can begin to think you have a ounce of integrity left in you that I can trust.  In the mean time, the issue of Abraham and his offspring have already being dealt with on nairaland.  Do a google search as I do not want to waste my time with someone who is really not after scholarship, but mockery.

You wanted to know my view?  This is it: Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

@Pataki

You are a 100% loser who can not address the questions. You whinge and whine but I can feel your frustration and anger at yourself.

You have just admitted that you have trawled this forum looking for my posts when you could have spent your time answering the questions raised.

That is how much you know. You can not answer the questions of this thread as you are well aware that they are contradictions without answers.

You write long winded sentences about nothing.

I do not need anymore answers from you. You have answered everything I need to know in your last post.

YOU ARE WELL AWARE THAT THE BIBLE WAS WRITTEN BY MAN TO CONTROL MAN AND THAT IT MAKES NO SENSE WHATSOEVER!

Finally we have got you to indirectly admit what you really think! That the Bible is a pack of fairy tales.

Call the contradictions errors if you must. But that does not make the book less fallible!

@reverend,

I see that you have a problem with God your maker well You have not ascended to the level of Atheist or blasphemers. Go and ask The Jews that Killed Jesus what happened to them?

Or Ask Tito of Yugoslavia how he was alive and was rottening. Please flee from his Wrath you no more intelligent than Ancient of days. You are mere human and one in billions of souls that God created. You have every right to say what you like to your maker but he has all the right to answer you, hope you will be ready when he calls.

He Is God when you were born you defeacated on your body he gave strength to you parents to look after you common sense will tell you when a seed falls to the ground and dies a less complex organism is reborn. i hope when you are resurected by God JESUS you will be able to give accuont of your life.

@Backslider

How can I have a problem with a person that does not exist. Please explain?

As for the Jews, they control the World! the TV you watch and nearly all the Banks and other financial institutions.

What has Tito got to do with anything? He died more than 25 years ago!!!!

I realize that I am human and that there are many of us on this planet. I really do not get your point?

As for all this born again nonsense, why will I have to account for my life to  the fairy story character Jesus. Now that is going a little too far.

Next you will be telling me that Santa Clause is not real tongue tongue

You guys still have faith with the Bible despite all these inconsistencies? Cant you see that the Bible is hoax? What else do you want to hear to agree with the Reverend gentleman?
Re: 101 Clear Contradictions In The Bible by Aggressa(m): 4:10pm On Dec 25, 2006
@Belloti,
It's really a surprise that you will be one of those who uses the 'kinky' Reverend as your benchmark of knowing what is right or wrong. Well, probably you guys have more in common. I thought 'scholarstic' attributes includes intuition and sensible disagreement; not just propagation of falacies of ambiguity and irrelevant conclusions.
Had it been your 'uncle' who uses Reverend as his benchmark, I would not be surprised. But you? I had previously thought your display of commendable intellectual dialogue could be temporary; just when I am beginning to believe you are for real, you've totally confirmed my prior thinking.
Re: 101 Clear Contradictions In The Bible by Reverend(m): 7:50pm On Dec 25, 2006
It is funny how arrogant and ignorant people can be to guage someones intelligence on whether they believe in the Bible or not.

To use that as a benchmark is the real tragedy and shows how far we have to go before we free ourselves from this religious nonsense  undecided

@Belloti

I know you are not using me as a benchmark. Keep your mind open and feel free to question the legitimacy of what your are told. You will make your own mind up without persecution or threats from the Bible bashing community.

Just because they believe in this fairy story dribble does not mean that you are compelled to do the same!

Be independent and think for yourself! Only then can you be truely free from the chains that they are trying to enslave us with.

Peace

The Rev

There is growing evidence that the delusion of religion causes significant social dysfunction. Statistical research is revealing the problems that go with religious delusion. For example, a recent article in the Journal of Religion and Society points out that religion is correlated to the significant social difficulties that we can see in todays World:

Let's ignore the ill effects of religion around the world over the last several decades. We have Muslims killing Christians (and vice versa), Jews killing Muslims (and vice versa), Protestants killing Catholics (and vice versa), Shiites killing Sunnis (and vice versa), etc., etc. All of it is completely pointless, because all human gods are imaginary. But let's ignore all of that killing and destruction.

Let's also ignore all of the insanity that religion has brought us through the ages -- the crusades, the witch hunts and all the rest.

And let's ignore all the people that religion oppresses -- the women, the people who have been enslaved, the people who happen to be homosexual, etc. Let's ignore it because it is all water under the bridge.

It has to be obvious that God is imaginary, then why might half of the population profess belief in God?

This question is fascinating. Why would we, as a species, create all of this mythology and nonsense over and over again through the millennia? We must do it for a reason.

If we can understand the reasons and deal with them rationally rather than through the silliness and mythology that is religion, we actually can do ourselves a great deal of good.

There are two important reasons why humans fabricate all of our religions:

People invent God as a way to cope with death. Many humans are terrified by death for some reason. They invent religion as a way to deal with their terror.

People invent God as a proxy for goodness. People want a way to promote "goodness" and eliminate "evil" in their societies. In the past, inventing an imaginary God has been perceived to be one way to facilitate that process.

Death and goodness are important to people. They touch on fundamental human emotions. If we can separate death and goodness from the mythology of God so that we can understand them and work with them in a positive way, we can actually do something very helpful. We can create a rational world for ourselves that is focused on benefiting mankind.

It is down to death and goodness. We need to understand the reasons why we fabricate our gods and then act on these reasons rationally.

Religion is delusion. A planet full of delusional people is not healthy.

@ reverend,

I have read some of your post and I perceive that you just cant see why people will so believe in JESUS. You need to know that there is result in belief of anything, something or someone.

The aspect of belief is so powerful and Jesus uses it to wrought his move. People are dying and will still die for there belief wether muslim Secular Atheist or Christian.

I have studied alot of war Account In my Father Library some of the war was religion Orchestrated. you need to accept this this is not what you learn in a class room.

You may not Reverence Christ but this you will discover will be your belief pattern and if you are one that has followership you will discover that all that come before you will do the same to Christ. And will paste poster of the christ with al maner of comic images.

They will have their day like all those that slap My God and My father and He asked them WHY SLAPPEST THOU ME? They could not answer They did not beg well they will Answer the Question In Eternity. The RUGGED SOLDIER THE MIGHTY MAN OF VALOUR WILL ASK THEM WHY DO YOU MAKE THE IMAGE OF ME TO MOCK ME WHAT DID I DO.

All other souls will answer this question in their own personal way. Research with a open mind and learn about Christ with Reverence.
